I was phone solicited for months since last November and then they actually came to my house and knocked on my door at 8 oclock in the evening to convince me to switch to them. I almost did but I had to move so I said to pause or cancel anything, but I got an email saying I owe them money. I phoned their customer service line straightened it out eventually it took me a couple times. They said I wouldnt be charged but yet I got a phone call this morning saying Im in collections for Telus Bill I would never give Telus a cent. and they dont even deserve one star on the rating. Theyre horrible. They should get negative stars.Telus

1 starAppalling behaviour from Telus. They fraudulently charged an account that had been closed months earlier and with no communication to us sent it straight to collections! Tried to resolve it with many hours on the phone only to be told that I needed to sort it out - their mistake!!?!This seems very shady, how can they charge closed accounts months later??Terrible customer service absolutely appalling and feels somehow illegal??Review fromSonya R

3 starsJust got off of a lengthy call with Telus to set up the 2.4 ghz on my wifi. After setting up the SmartHome wifi they informed me it has a different password than my original Telus wifi connection (I now have Telus1234; Smarthome 1234, and Smarthome1234-5g connections). When I asked how I can change all three wifi connections to be the same password, they said it couldn't change for at least 3-months. I asked 'what if there is a security breach on my network and I want to change my password on the SmartHome wifi network' - they responded this is not possible. When I explained this could leave a customer vulnerable, I got a response that they were sorry but it is not possible to change this password for at least 3-months- it is system generated. Seems to be in opposition to protecting customer's privacy. And the ********************** Tech Support Person did not seem to understand the importance of this which is a second concern to me.Review fromCathy C

1 starWe are a small business in ********, **, and have been without internet since June *******. After calling Telus Business Support three times, opening ticket #1******, and even submitting a formal written complaint, we still had no technician assigned until the fourth day. The most frustrating part is that our issue was very simple: the modem was outdated and just needed replacement. A technician could have resolved it in one visit. Even as simple as we could pick up a new modem from their location. But it took days of inaction and poor communication to even get someone dispatched. This has severely disrupted our operations and cost us business. As a customer, you only discover the true quality of a company when something goes wrong--and in our case, Telus completely failed to respond with the urgency and professionalism expected for a business-grade service. Not recommended for businesses relying on reliable service.Review fromRick M

If I could give less than 1 star I would. This company uses call center employees who will lie regarding the terms and conditions of their packages they offer. Then when you receive the pricing that is not what you were offered, on dates you were told you would not be active for, you can not actually reach them to speak to them by phone since everything has to go through text, ensuring that you can not do anything.Telus

Called to dispute my very high cable bill earlier in the day. They seemed to rectify the issue. Later I went to watch TV and now went from a multiple cable package to basic cable. Called them back for them to tell me with the bill change they changed me to basic cable without telling me and I for sure didn't tell them too, they took it upon themselves to do so. The time was close to when their office was too close and kept asking for a number to call back incase the call gets dropped. Gave the call back number to then go on hold for them to chat with the loyalty ***** (twice). They told me they would fix the bill issue and get me all my channels back. I was on hold for quite awhile until all of a sudden then came on the line saying their office is now closed and called dropped. Never got a call back. It's like they knew the call was going to be dropped soon to then not have to deal with my situation and rectify my issue. It was quite inconvenient to now only have basic cable from what I had for them to never call back and just drop my call. If someone is actually talking to a ****************** Agent that call should never get dropped until the issue was dealt with!!! The customer service with this company is getting worse and worse! Their prices keep going up but yet get horrible service and less channels. Brutal!!!! I wish I could give half a star!Telus

I regret switching to Telus. Internet is just okay my old **** plan was more reliable. But the real nightmare is customer service. After ********************** bought Vivint, they couldnt support my equipment or honour my plan when I had to move. A mismanaged move led to billing errors, broken promises, and over $1,200 charged for equipment I never received. It took endless calls to reverse charges and fix mistakes. Promised credits never arrived, and refund attempts failed multiple times.Even simple things like moving internet services between homes turned into a bureaucratic mess. Overall, a frustrating and exhausting experience. Avoid if you value your time and sanity. For example, I initially negotiated a good deal with a Telus-Vivint representative and scheduled a date to install the home security system at the new house two months in advance. I also decided to install Telus internet at the new place right away, and I was promised to have activation fee waved. Telus backend system merged two appointments into one, and a technician showed up to install home security 2 months earlier along with home internet. The technician was not aware of any additional home security equipment I requested or a deal that I had negotiated. I called another agent, and they could not find the person I negotiated with or the deal we agreed on, so I cancelled the home security installation. The agent on the phone promised to go through the records of my previous calls to find the conditions of the deal and call me back, but he never did. The technician only installed home internet and checked the installation complete box in his system, which was interpreted by the backend system as if I had both home internet and home security successfully installed. My credit card got charged $1200 next month for security sensors, cameras, detectors and locks I never agreed on having. And home internet activation fee was also applied.Telus

Nightmarish experience. Telus repeatedly fails to come through on basic requests. Changed to less expensive plan. Received confirmation email. Technician never arrived. Tried again online, but was impossible. Paid top rates as a single person using relatively low data for months as did not want to endure the hassle. Later, informed Telus of residence change, but never received new equipment they said would arrive the week of move. Was still charged top rates at old residence even though 0 GB used (and shown on Telus' own records) and modem returned. Took 2 calls totalling around 3 hours wait/on hold to finally cancel. Have had to call back since then, as **** ***** shows full charge for 2 unused months even though the last 2 customer service agents said some of the fees would be waived toward this bogus, unfair charge. Not looking forward to the continued hassle. It seems to be impossible to find someone reasonable to speak to at Telus who understands the quality of service has been extremely poor.Telus
