Telus installed fibre optics in my neighbourhood on January 25th. The contacts damaged the **** line during this process causing internet disruption for several homeowners.I contacted Telus regarding this issue and also expressed concern regarding my underground sprinkler system as the heads had not been marked when the utility lines were marked. Telus assured me that if there was any damage it would be repaired at no cost to **** ran the sprinkler system at the end of April and one of the sprinkler heads sunk into the ground as a result of the dirt no being tampered down properly. The head also was leaking after the system shut off.I contacted Telus and they said they would get their contractor to investigate this issue. Their contractor came out and indicated they did not have the proper part and asked if I would order it.I called Rain Man to repair the leak and ensure there was no further damage to the system. I forwarded the invoice to Telus for reimbursement and was told the contractor was responsible for damage and I should forward the invoice to them.I did not ask Telus to install fibre optics, nor did I ask their contractor to damage my sprinkler head, but somehow it is my responsibility to chase down reimbursement?Telus even ignored my concerns about the contractor not responding to my request for reimbursement.Telus basically dropped all responsibility on me for something that I played no part in.Telus does not care about anything other than profit. Telus is just another large corporation that could care less about customer satisfaction.Telus

I dont have an account with you. You came and dug up my yard to install fibre optics. We had no notification about this.I have been treated with disrespect by your CEO and your company by being ignored continuously regarding damages. TELUS tried sending me to collections for $1,115 for services they never installed. I canceled within the 30-day window and returned their equipment. I never received a final bill or notice just a sketchy collection agency harassing me nonstop.I had to block 10+ numbers, file with BBB and CCTS, and ***** TELUS for weeks. They finally admitted it was a double-billing mistake but I still havent received written confirmation my name is cleared or that my credit is unaffected.Ive lost time, energy, and trust. Ive requested compensation and plan to cancel my mobile contract because of how badly this was handled. ***** this company if you value your peace of mind.Telus

After years of Telus, I find we have terrible responses and are held ****** on a regular basis. Whether it was fraudulent contracts sold by resellers, changing our landlines out for IP phones only to lose the phones anytime the internet acts up. The latest is our alarm system failed. We have special conditions with our alarm system that has certain zones that are federally mandated to be armed and monitored at all times. The alarm fails on a Monday afternoon, we spend 4 hours talking to various level of customer service, only to get deferred to the next day. This meant we had to have someone stay onsite 24hrs or risk violations and ***** fines. The following day another 4hrs with customer service re-explaining the problems only to get a technician for 10minutes who says probably a phone line, call a different department. That department now says can't get anyone to you for 4 days but if you agree to pay extra, we could send someone right away. Seems crazy that in a ***** City, Telus would not commit unless I accepted a surcharge for this on-call special rate at 3:30pm on a tuesday or they will deny the rush service and good luck with your alarm. Under duress, I have to agree to pay whatever it takes the Telus service tech or I get a fine from the government for not arming our containment vault. Every Telus department doesn't talk to another so we have constant phone problems, constant internet drop-offs, alarm problems and since none are interconnected, it's a new complaint and no history is shared every time you complain.Telus

Door to door salesman lied about fibre optic services being ran in our neighborhood within 3 weeks. Told us if we signed up today we would get the copper price for fibre optic when installed. He had a door to door install guy following behind him putting in basic home security systems if you signed up that day for free. They screwed holes in our ceilings for smart smoke detector, in our walls for flood detector and in our siding for smart doorbell. Over 1.5mths later zero signs of fibre optic ever being installed in our neighbourhood. Liars!! No I have to uninstall the equipment and mail back or I get charged. They refuse to come and collect their own equipment and I am left with holes in my ceiling, walls and siding after equipment is removed. *************** and garbage customer service. I was a customer for over ***** and this is how they show appreciation. And now I have $500 of credit on my account from the last 2 s*** shoes with Telus and there is no way to get paid out on this. They keep credit to try and get you back as a customer. Not happening.Telus

This may not be the right channel, but we feel weve been defrauded by Telus. We are being asked to pay $2,616 to cancel Telus BizConnect, despite never being informed that we were entering into a 24-month Professional Installation contract at signup.BizConnect has severely hurt our business. Our core operation relies on outreach, but Telus marked our number as spam, crippling our call response rate. We also contact agents overseas, and Telus blocked calls to countries like ******* and *****. We were told by the installation specialist, ***** ******, to email Telus 24 hours in advance for each number we wanted to call internationally a completely unreasonable workaround. None of this was disclosed before we signed up.Due to these issues, we had to shift most of our communications to WhatsApp highly unprofessional, but we had no choice. Further, since our BizConnect lines were flagged as spam, I moved 21 lines to Telus Mobility on February 13, 2025. Despite that, all lines still remain active in BizConnect. No one from the cancellation team followed up or closed the ticket it remained open with no resolution.We are now being charged for a product that never met our expectations, harmed our operations, and was sold under misleading terms. All we ask is to cancel BizConnect without being penalized. Please dont expect us to pay $2,616 for what feels like a forced, fraudulent service.Telus

We used to have a business internet and security account but we sold the business since Aug 2023, However, Telus still keep charging our internet and security service until today May 5th 2025. Even though we sent all the business transfer request when we requested to close the accounts, and we have all the evidence proved that we have notify them the business has been closed and all services been transfer to the new owner. They just keep billing our account for almost 2 years!I have called, sent online support requests, sent emails to Telus, ask for solve the problem, but none of them helps. They just kicking me around to different departments, told me they will adjust the amount, zero it out and delete the account from my portal but no one actually done it and nobody follow up with my case. And today, I am still making 3 hours phone calls (waiting to get hold of representative and waiting get transfer to different departments) and I am very sick of dealing with it anymore. I should not responsible to the bills not belongs to me and all these nonsense charges will impact my credit score! Telus is inefficiency, not reliable and customer agents are lack of training(they might all been out sources to outside contractors) . I can imaging how poor the internal operation management inside this big corporation is! Please avoid using this company!Telus

They charged double the amount they stated, even after they dropped the $70 installation charge. The internet itself didn't work consistently or have the strength it was said to according to the plan, Fiber Optic 1GB. They were nearly impossible to reach unless you said you wanted to cancel, then they called me in less than 15 minutes. They state on their website they have a 30 day guarantee and when I called to cancel within that time I was told it's actually 15 days but they can extend it. On top of all that the amount of pressure they put on customers is atrocious, especially with the amount of neurodivergent people it seems criminal to mislead people heavily about everything you claim.Telus

I was 3 months away from my contract expiring when a telus sales team member contacted me to renew. I said I only want to pay the same plan no more. They got me the deal I wanted it was $280 for 3 phone so I renewed for 2 years. My first bill came and it was $876 which then I contacted relus to ask why is my bill high. They told me it was because of early termination charges to my old plan. I then told them the agent never let me know I had to pay and extra $500 for a new re up, I would have waited the 2 months instead of re upping. They are now currently telling me there is nothing they can do. Telus totally scammed me and is a complete embarrassment to the industryTelus
