I began my self-publishing journey in October of 2023 (*** ** * ********** *********** ****** ****), and selected FriesenPress, owing to the fact that the company is a Canadian, 100% employee-owned publishing service provider. As of February 20, 2024, my book of poetry, *** ***** ** ***, has officially been released, and I could not be happier with my literary journey over the course of the Launch publishing service.
Every member of the Friesen team was absolutely wonderful to work with. From the initial consultation with Jamie, through the various stages of editing/production with Frankie, to the marketing and promotional stage with Sisilia, all members of the team were extremely professional and pleasant. Any inquiries that I had along the way were answered swiftly and succulently.
The Author Resource Center contains a plethora of extremely helpful information. For a first-time author such as myself, this truly helps to alleviate any consternation that arises from the daunting immensity of post-production marketing.
As I’m writing this review, my first international sales have been displayed under Book Sales. It’s truly a surreal experience. An envisioned dream has become a tangible reality, and I’ll be forever grateful for the support, friendliness, and guidance that FriesenPress provided. Here’s to hoping that *** ***** ** *** catches reader’s attention!
Self-publishing with FriesenPress was an absolute pleasure, to say in the least. I look forward to publishing many more books in the future (book #2 is in the works!).

I just released my debut novel through FriesenPress, and I couldn't be happier with the service provided and the quality of the final product. After years of trying and failing to get published traditionally, FriesenPress opened doors for me I never dreamed possible and made the entire process a breeze. Everyone I dealt with, from the initial consultation to the promotions stage, was friendly, professional, and invested in my success. It's nice being on a first-name basis with the people who are helping you bring your novel to life. For a first-timer, the publishing process is often overwhelming--there's so much to learn and you often feel like you're stumbling your way through a dark canyon. Everyone on my team was amazing, helping guide me where I needed to go and even being so kind as to listen when anxiety got the better of me (apparently, being an anxious wreck in the final stages of publication is perfectly normal). I went with the Signature package for my novel--while it's not exactly cheap, in doing the math I determined that everything I wanted my book to have would have cost more or less the same had I gone the "true" Indie route and done it all myself. Frankly, it was worth my peace of mind knowing that my book's development was in the hands of professionals who were coordinating with one another to ensure a quality final product. I just received my paperbacks and hardcovers this past week, and they look better than I ever imagined. In all, I sing FriesenPress' praises whenever I speak of my book, and I plan on using their services again once the time comes to release book two.FriesenPress Inc.

I am almost finished self publishing my first book and Friesen Press have been excellent throughout. This was a steep learning curve for me and Friesen made the path smooth and uncomplicated. A big shoutout to the team there! I published my first book with FriesenPress in October 2023. I had no experience or knowledge of the publishing industry or the steps that are involved in publishing a book. FriesenPress made the experience seamless for me. The entire team was very supportive, thorough, and prompt. They valued and supported my input, expectations, and timelines. Their Author Account Center allowed me to have everything at my fingertips during the entire process. After my book was published, they assisted me with promotions and marketing, including helping me set up my website, social media accounts, and business cards, as well as, giving me pointers on how to effectively market my book. My main objective in publishing my book was to ensure that our family's voice was being heard and that my book was in the hands of the people who needed it the most. I published with FriesenPress in May 2023 through their Signature Publishing Path.
While I cannot deny that it's a hefty price, at no point throughout the 9-month process did I ever think "I'm paying 'this', but only getting 'this'". I worked with numerous people throughout the editing, proofreading, design, promotion, production, and distribution attributes of the process and every time I would review the work submitted and return to them with corrections that better fit my vision, they always pulled through!
Now that I'm published, I rarely have to contact the members of my team, and yet, every once in awhile I'll have a question for them, and I still get a response despite my contract with them being over. They completed their 'services' but their support is life.
They also keep you up to date on major updates in the publishing industry even after publication, when they believe it affects you.
I would like to give a particular shoutout to Sisilia ***** my promotion specialist. I had a great team to begin with, but Sisilia has gone above and beyond every time, responding to me in a timely manner, always answering my questions, and doing what she can to provide a product or service I ask for - even sometimes when it's out of her mandate. ******* **** *** * ********* ** *** ******FriesenPress Inc.

I wrote my first book 20 years ago. My second book was published just over a month ago. Writing a book is a much more complicated task now and Frieson's got me through it with flying colors. I'm really not sure I could have done it without them. They guided me through the technical journey with patience and diligence. I have to mention my coach Erin ******* She was always there for me and full of encouragement. On the days that I struggled, she would say to me, "We got this!" I'm thinking, thank goodness she is around for me. My book of Memoirs is on the Bestsellers list and I couldn't be happier with Frieson's in every way.FriesenPress Inc.

I've just published my memoir with FriesenPress, 100% employee owned, and have been most impressed. The process was easy to follow, guided by Friesen on-line prompts and live agents. Every detail was covered. My publishing assistant, Frankie **********, responded promptly to every inquiry and was always encouraging. Problems were solved with a minimum of fuss. From the very first editorial assessment, to copy editing, to layout/design including 60 photos, and then a promotions plan and website - all the bases were covered. I'm delighted with the final product and have already sold quite a few copies through Friesen's link with the ****** ************ company that connects me with more than 200 booksellers throughout North America. * ********* ******* *** ************** ******* *** *** ******* ** *** ** *** **** *** **** * *** ** ***** ** ******* I took the Signature package at roughly $*****, but it's worth it. I could have waited several years for a mainstream publisher to pick up my book, if at all.
