      This is the WORST customer service/health insurance I have ever had in my lifetime. I didn't think things could get worse from the provider we used to have until our company switched to Canada Life!
      Wait times are atrocious, takes CS min 3 days to respond, and then another 3+ if you have additional questions. Their system doesn't allow them apparently to look up their own PDF's you have to send them back and then.... wait. Their online system doesn't tell you if its pending, needing more info, denied or just plain lost!

      * **** * ***** **** **** * ***** Worst experience ever. Switched jobs to a company that uses Canada Life. I have tried calling them on several occasions only to be on hold for 2+ hours, you then get messages like they are having technical difficulties and it hangs up on you. Got through on a couple times after couple hours only to be hung up on once the call is connected.       I’ve been trying for several days to speak to someone and the call keeps getting dropped due to system issues. I submitted a claim online through my account only to find out weeks later that they have no record of the claim so I had to resubmit everything all over again. There’s no confirmation advising that they have received your claim. They only reimbursed a fraction of what I was expecting so now I’m on hold again because they don’t respond to their emails either.

      Absolutely terrible customer service - wait times to talk to a customer representative can run quite literally over 2 hours, only to reach staff who are uninformed and unhelpful.
      They've made it virtually impossible to do business by phone. I wish I had a choice to go elsewhere but my union has signed on to their GroupNet program.

      My company has used Canada Life as our group benefits provider for several years*************************************************************** *************************************************************** ***************************

      A few highlights of my experience include:

      --Inordinately Long Wait Times: I've often waited on hold for 1.5 hours, only to be disconnected due to "system issues".

      --Segmentation of Expertise: Each customer service rep can only assist you with one type of claim. If you need help with Drugs vs. Health vs. Healthcare Spending Account, be prepared to talk to three different individuals, with a lengthy wait time in between each. You will also have to provide your identifying credentials every single time.

      --*********** Staff: *************************************************************** *** Asking them a simple question requires them to put you on hold for another 5-10 minutes while they investigate your query. They will rarely have a response on the spot, and will claim that they'll call you back after they look into the matter further. Don't hold your breath.

      --Processing Times: On average, it will take 4+ weeks for your claim to be processed. Their ongoing excuse is that they are shortstaffed due to the pandemic. *************************************************************** ***********************************************
      --Claim Errors: Your claim is finally processed - great! Not so fast, as you will need to review the results with a fine-toothed comb. *************************************************************** *********************************************** Time to follow-up with *********** reps after lengthy wait times, thus causing the entire cycle to repeat itself.

      I have had to call several times because they failed to send me mail and denied claims that should have been covered. I've waited 1.5 hours to speak with someone on the phone. The fastest time I've ever reached a person on the phone was 35min on hold

      It is next to impossible to get through to speak to anyone. I have tried calling every day for the last week and after waiting an hour and a half and getting disconnected I gave up.
