K2 Property Management was hired to manage 3 multi family buildings. Part of their job was to collect rents. For this service I paid them 6% of the total rents collected. The month of November 2023 they collected my rents and never paid me. I also found out that they collected security deposits from my tenant's and never submitted them to Rentalsman in New Brunswick where my buildings are located. This is ******** This company should be charged with theft.

We entrusted K2 Property Management with looking after our property in Nova Scotia. They were to collect rent and maintain the property. Their quality of work and attention to our property started declining since summer 2023. Communication was the hardest. The staff and the CEO were not always contactable. They did not pay us our rent money on time. Instead of mid month as stated in the contract, they only deposited at the end of the month in Oct2023. During this time, neither the CEO (***** *******) nor the K2 staff were contactable. All calls went to generic voicemail boxes. It was apparent that they were avoiding us and other owners. During this time another owner who was using K2 services contacted me and asked if we received our rent money. They did not either. This owner was very concerned as they owned an apartment building. I found out that the afore mentioned owners ended their contract with K2 and so have other owners of multi apartment buildings, because K2 has not paid them their money (rent money). The owners are taking legal action. Hence we made the decision to end the contract with K2 for breach of contract as of Nov 1. Any rent money they had collected that month and deposits were calculated and communicated to us and said it would be paid during their next cycle of deposits. The expected date was Nov 15. Total = $10,380.64 We have not received any up to date. The CEO ***** will not pickup the phone nor answer any emails. Most of the office is on voicemail. Even when we do get hold of a staff member, their reply is that ***** is in charge of releasing the money. We also found out that they shut down their Amherst,NS office.
