      I visited Race Auto to purchase a used vehicle and was shown a 2019 ****** Qashqai. After signing a contract, I reconsidered my decision the next morning, well within 24 hours, and before receiving the vehicle. I promptly sent an email on October 9, prior to the dealership opening, to cancel the sale. I also texted the finance officer, ******, and visited the dealership in person.

      Despite my clear communication, the dealership claimed the contract was binding. They even falsely stated the vehicle was registered in my name and that they had received the loan funds, which I confirmed with both the bank and the motor vehicle office was not true. Both the bank and ****** Nova Scotia confirmed no registration or loan was processed, and no profile is created. Both institutions advised me to report this behavior, as they do not understand why the dealership refuses to acknowledge my request to cancel the process.

      I have not received any paperwork for the vehicle, and it had not undergone necessary repairs or an updated MVI when I made my decision to cancel. The vehicle was still parked in the same spot I had left it the evening prior as it was only 10:15 am when I arrived there.

      I find the dealership's actions misleading and unethical. I am seeking assistance to ensure the dealership stops pressuring me into accepting a vehicle I do not want and cancels the contract.

      Ms ************** has signed a legal contract, the contract is with **** and was sent electronically on the afternoon Ms ************** signed all the legal documents. She is correct that **** would not be aware of this contract as Race Auto deal with the **** dealer finance department in Toronto a division of ****. Race Auto has already been funded on the deal as this happens very fast in auto finance indirect lending as most loans as processed and booked in the same day.

      Ms ************** has 2 options she can pick up the car she agreed to purchase that she signed a legal contract on and we had offered an additional $500 service credit to help with her repairs that she is stating she has on her current vehicle as she now stating the reason to cancel, (Ms ************** told the finance manager she wants to cancel the deal to purchase elsewhere) or she can sign a letter of cancellation and Race Auto will get **** to unwind the deal less admin costs and fees, totalling $899 plus taxes = $1033.85. When Race Auto gets a letter of cancellation and payment for the fees and costs incurred Race will ask **** to unwind the deal.

      I was to get a upgrade on my car with a great interest rate so I applied with all my information including bankruptcy and got approved for a 22 ******* elantra. Aug 17th I went into get the car and sign paperwork there was no car and I stupidly signed the papers was told I would get the car in a week . I checked my paperwork when I got a call from the finance company saying I was in a bi weekly loan payments I can't afford due to the loan application being filled out with false income and false monthly rent amount. I still don't have a car they sold my 2017 Elantra and I am now without a car after making two payments on the loan. Race Auto offered me another car Sept 13 it was unsafe i returned it two days later and was told to get off the property . So I am on a disability and no longer have a car and had one before this nightmare started I would like the loan reversed due to no car and false information done on the loan to get me approved

      ******** specifically wanted a newer ******* Elantra, which we were very clear the order was out of Montreal would be 2-3 weeks minimum as it would come from ********** rental fleet. She signed all the documents and after 1 week she complained and she came in and we provided a 2022 ****** Corolla loaner while she waited.

      Unfortunately, the order took longer as supply was tight and we offered ******** a $300 service credit for the delay. ******** harassed the sales associate daily for an update so I went out and bought another 2022 Elantra with 20,000km less and more options, including sunroof and we would replace for the order at the same price, easily worth $4000 more than her ordered car. ******** took delivery of the replaced 2022 Elantra and was thrilled. She called the next day and was complaining it needed an alignment and I said bring it in the next day and no problem, we would do the alignment at no charge. ******** showed up the next day with a friend and dropped the car off and wanted to walk away from the deal. I said, no problem, I need a check for $6450 and we will can reverse the deal. We gave her $12000 for her trade, and she owed $18450. It's really simple. We need the difference to pay off her loan and we will cancel the deal. We have offered ******** $1000 and a lower payment for inconvenience or we will be pursuing her breach of contact as I have a lawyer's letter ready to send for a judgement of $6450 plus costs. We will also be sending her to collections for $4000 for the rental use of our car to a collection agency. All the lenders we deal with are aware of her file and have been notified and all approvals are now declined as all the dealers deal with the same lenders. We take care of our customer and we have 0 complaints with BBB, unfortunately she owes $6450 to get out of a contract or she can pickup the car she signed a legal contract on as a contract is exactly that a contract!

      I have accepted the offer of 1000.00 dollars and a lower payment of 310 bi weekly and the black car I signed for from RaceAuto group . 
      Thank you for all your help I am awaiting ownership papers and the 1000.00 also the loan agreement from them. If they do not comply with the agreement I will be doing another complaint.

      The vehicle I purchased March 9 2023 broke down for the second time for the same issue. Race mechanics supervisor **** lied to me and changed his story almost every time we spoke. Found out this time that the car wasn't even running when they received it so they know it had issues. **** told me one thing was replaced then told the garage 2 things were replaced,garage we took it to saw both parts and said they were not new at all. Race did order and ship a new fuel pump which was on their cost said it was warranty. During conversations with **** he told me if it was something that they had fixed they would cover the cost. Today he changed it again and said hyndai warranties the part saving me hundreds of dollars and all the costs were on me since it was not at their shop. I would have had to have it towed around 100 km away. I am more than willing to pay the tow fee of 143 if they would cover the remainder. This is the 3rd vehicle we have purchased through this company and the only one we have had issues with. I understand it's a used car but I feel it shouldn't be my responsibility since they knew before I purchased it that it has this type of problem.

      Sorry for the issues but we have had the part replaced under warranty at no cost and you were advised. A delivery check list was signed at delivery, and it states.,

      SERVICE WORK REQUIRED IN THE FIRST 30 DAYS MUST BE RETURNED TO RACE AUTO GROUP
      FOR AUTHORIZATION OF ANY ADDITIONAL WORK REQUIRED.  ANY ADDITIONAL WORK COMPLETED OUTSIDE OF RACE
      AUTO GROUP WITHOUT WRITTEN AUTHORIZATON
      WILL NOT BE COVERED *

      If the vehicle were towed to Race, we would have done the labor at no charge, even though the 30 days had passed since delivery. It would have cost more than the $143 to tow from Truro to Sackville, likely as much as the labor Carpro has charged.

      I will refund the labor the labor of $95 and the parts of $17.91 plus tax, total $129.84 as goodwill as this was not authorized.
