Back in May 2020 I filed a proposal that included ***** **** in the proposal, I received a certificate of full performance that same year Oct 2020. ***** **** had 45 days to respond from the date the consumer proposal was filed with the *** to accept or reject my proposal and after many attempts by myself and the trustee they did not respond, Its my understanding if they do not respond with in the 45 days they will be deemed to have accepted my proposal. In January of 2021 ***** **** reached out to my trustee at *** to make a claim *** responded saying that basically its to late and a certificate of full performance was received Oct 2020. I waiting the 3 years from the time I received the certificate of Full performance to start cleaning up my credit, I ***** * ******* **** ******* *** ********** **** *** ******** ** *** ******** *** **** ******* *** ********* ***** ***** * **** *** *** **** with TransUnion I filed a dispute in January of 2024 everything was taken off and updated except ***** **** they informed me that ***** **** is saying its reporting on my credit report correctly as a R7 derogatory mark, I explained to them that it was included in my personal and that it needs to be taken off with the rest of the account in the Proposal. I then filed another dispute on November showing that ***** **** was aware of the proposal and I provided email communication to show this with a fax confirmation again is was denied and they will not update/remove this from my credit report which is impacting my credit. * ** *** **** ** ****** * ******** ******* ** ****. I am rejecting this response because: I pay to have the service it's not a free service maybe for some, but I pay a monthly $28.19 per month to monitor and correct any issues on my credit as I have done so twice to dispute something that was left on my credit when it was included in my proposal, everything else that was included in the proposal has been taken off but this one thing **** ** ******* *** ****** ** ********* * *******. Since September 17 2024 i have been constantly getting alerts about new inquiries and accounts being added to my credit report which i didn't authorized. I have opened disputes with Transunion multiple times, once they correct the issue i see new accounts or hard inquiry on my credit report again.
I was suspecting that i was a victim of identity fraud. After multiple calls with Transunion contact center on Nov 18 while my credit report is bombarded with new addresses and new accounts and inquiries, someone at their contact center said that its Mixed File case where someone else with similar name & DoB has their credit file mixed with mine.
Now after two months of stress and multiple visits to police station to report Identity theft and calls to different banks and opened disputes multiple times, submitted proof of my identity to Transunion. I do not know what to do to correct these issues on my credit file.
Now new accounts being added to my credit file and i can not open dispute online and when i call Transunion they are no help, they just tell me to wait 30 days, Its already 2 months since this ordeal started while my credit score is ruined and i am sitting hopeless.Business Response

Trans union credit bureau has somehow merged my profile with someone who i assume is of similar name. This other person opened a ****** **** account for a new cell phone number and somehow it is being reported under my profile and SIN at Transunion. The account is legitimate as I have spent numerous hours on the phone with ****** ****; however, the account is not mine, I did not open this account and should not be reporting under my profile. My primary address is now incorrect and the only way they will change this is for me to send via paper mail a photo copy of my drivers license and passport, 2 very sensitive documents, neither of which I will be sending them. (By sending this info thru mail will not make any changes to the ****** **** account, it will merely update my address to be proper) If Transunion would have verified some information with ****** **** (when i had Transunion launch an investigation as I thought initially it was fraud on my account) such as my DOB and SIN rather than simply asking ****** “Is this a legitimate account”. That was the extent of Transunions investigation, that one simple question to ****** **** and it was sent electronically according to the info ****** **** told me. My proper address is: *** ***** ***** ******* ***** **** ** *** ***
My DOB is *** ***** and my last couple digits of my SIN are 2 *** none of which correlates to the account holder of this ****** **** account. The ****** account number in question is *** *** ***. I am disputing a Hard inquiry on my Credit Report by the following creditor/institution: ******* ***. According to ******* *** emails dated April 14, 2023, and March 31, 2023, I was pre-approved for a ******* *** ****** **** ******** ********** with a credit limit of $5,000.00.
I accepted this offer. I followed their instructions as to how to accept this pre-approval. They provided me with a Reservation Code and Access Code. Pre-approvals do not generate a hard inquiry. This should have been a Soft inquiry as I already have an existing product with them and also based on the fact that I was pre-approved and did not complete a full application.
I reached out to ******* *** to correct this error. They have provided me with a letter dated July 18, 2023 confirming that they will remove this Hard Inquiry off of my profile/credit bureau. I called TransUnion several times now and they advised that I needed to deal with ******* *** directly and I have. Complaint: ********I am rejecting this response because I have made several phone calls to TransUnion where their agents have confirmed that the credit check dated April 14, 2023 will be removed. Six months and more later, nothing has been removed. I have provided letters from TransUnion dated June 26, 2023 and September 28, 2023 where TransUnion states that they will correct this inaccurate credit check.
I also have two letters from ******* ***. The first letter dated July 18, 2023 states that ******* *** will communicate with TransUnion to have this credit check dated April 14, 2023 removed. After months of following up with TransUnion with no removal of that credit check that ******* *** disputed on my behalf, ******* *** also sent me a letter dated September 28, 2023 that there is an error with my credit bureau report and that I need to deal with TransUnion directly.

My credit score went from 866 - higher than 90% of customers with a TransUnion credit file (Excellent) to 617 - higher than 9% of customers with a TransUnion credit file (Poor) a drop of 249 points, in one month, even though I didn't open or close any accounts, didn't miss any payments, didn't increase or decrease my utilization, etc.
NOTHING.
There seems to be an error with a **** ******** account, best I can tell, but TransUnion won't give me any straight answers on the phone, and no one is willing to look at the 249 point drop and explain to me why it happened.
That's because it's clearly a mistake.
