1 starRequesting info, and I am highlighting this. INFORMATION, on the process,pricing, and how it works somehow turned into 10 hard checks on my credit report. I went in asking for information, they had me fill out a form, than left me sitting in an office by myself for 30-45 minutes. They came back with a list of vehicles, and prices for substantial monthly payments. Not knowing that they had run hard credit checks, I continued asking for options. How can I get lower payments, do they have lower priced vehicles, how much would I need to put down, what vehicles are available, etcetra. Each question the sales rep would get up and leave the office, after about 60 minutes of continuously being left alone the sales rep came in the office with the manager, *** ***** ******* ** *** Saying that I should never speak to him, or anyone about numbers unless I have a credit score of 650 or higher. ** *** ********* ************** ** *** ******* **** ****** **** ********* ******** ****** ** ****** In the middle of his rant I simply got up and left. I spent the next week being ********* via phone calls and texts, until I blocked every number.Review fromValerie B

1 starI currently have a trailer, a van and now a truck from 401 Auto.
I recently purchased a 2018 *********. as soon as I left the dealership with this truck lights going on, it has been back-and-forth from Whitby to Lindsay for repairs since I picked up the truck. The truck has been in service more than I have been able to drive it. I am beyond frustrated with 401 auto. This truck has been at their shop at Canadian tire where I had to pay for a tire alignment since the vehicle steering wheel was sideways, and the tires were totally off , ******* *** and now at ******* *********. It has been a nightmare since day one. I would like them to get me into a truck that is actually reliable and safe or cancel out the entire deal. I’m done with this headache and sick truck. I’ve been sold a lemon and don’t have the time to have it constantly back and forth almost 1000km just for having it to be serviced so many times by their company. Now I am having an even bigger issue because my van has also become on driveable since our money journeys back-and-forth to Lindsay I am outraged stay far away from this company.Review fromElizabeth B

2 starsThese people are not as nice to u once u sign on the dotted line.bought a 2020 ********** form them. The car by has so many small dents in it, not to mention so many paint chips from rocks dinging the car I guess. I bought the car in November and I’m still waiting for a paint pan to cover all the dings, they called me to tell me they were sending it, asked for my address and it never came. Even after calling them about it. Terrance Shaw the financing guy is very rude when asking for something they should have already done… well 3 months later I still have no paint pan. I find these car salesmen, will tell u anything just to make some money. Not the best experience, I should have read the reviews before dealing with these people. 1 starMandeep in 401 Auto destroyed my credit history. When I informed, I am a new comer to Canada and only 3 months have lived here then why without my consent and approval 18 hard checks/inquires on my file with various lenders were done !!
If I didn’t qualify for auto loan /credit due to any reason it’s okay. Who asked you to do 18 hard checks?? And destroy my file for next 5-6 years.

debt ****** ** ****. I even had payments
come out of my account from the car I traded
in ON TOP of payments from the new vehicle.

I was **** ** on not only the interest but the payments were actually DOUBLE of what I was told. They printed out paper work for me to sign that was FAR before the actual date, The Salesman told me the vehicle was ready, I drove an hour to go pick up when the manager came out and said it was not ready as they were waiting for parts to arrive… AFTER they told me it passed safety check… now I’m concerned what parts were needed as this is a fairly newer vehicle. When I called the next day and asked what needed to be changed * *** **** ** ***** ** him saying “nothing”. I felt rushed and pressured into signing the documents as it was cold outside. Then when he delivered the car he had the nerve to ask me to “borrow” MY OLD plates to get my trade in back to Cambridge. He told me he would personally deliver my plates back to me WHICH HE DID NOT and I had to drive ANOTHER hour ONE WAY to get them as if the price of gas is not his concern. I inquired about a vehicle loan 6 months ago. Once I was informed of the interest rate I decided to save more money for a down payment. My husband and i were in dire need of a truck. We called this company and they said we were approved.
The truck we wanted to take for a test drive was in Hamilton so they told us we had to buy the truck if it was being brought to another city, we signed a conditional sales contract. I said we just want to test drive it first.
The next day they call to tell us the truck is there and now we are allowed to test drive. When driving it there was a loud ticking noise, i told the saleslady, Sidra that the noise was not normal. She said because we have to buy it the mechanics will have a look.
A few days later apparently the mechanic had looked at it and said it was the eco boost.
So we let it go. They didn't show us no finaancing until we got in the office To make this story short, they charged us $20,000.00 for cost of borrowing, the truck was selling for 52,000.00 book value is only 34,000.00. I told her this is outrageous, she said well the truck is ours or they will take is to court. After, about 3 months the truck is as loud as a diesel, brought it in and sure enough the timing chain is gone. ****** ******* *** ******* **** ******* *** **** **** **** ***401 Auto RV Canada Inc.

1 starI purchased 2 cars from this dealership and one was defective from the time I drove it off of the lot! I contacted the dealership about the problem and they told me that the salesman that sold me the cars was fired and gave me an appointment to have it fixed. The mechanic *** **** ******** *** told me I was lucky they were fixing it! He also told my boyfriend that he doesn’t want me to call back because I highlighted the issues and told them that they were wrong to allow the car to leave the lot without proper inspection! Now only 2 months after purchase, the original problem that came along with the car is back! I arranged to go back to the dealership for examination. The morning I was to return I received a disturbing phone call from the mechanic saying I’m not under warranty and will have to pay for repair! Before I could reply he ****** hung up!! Shortly after I got to the dealership the same morning, I’m being told that my car that I financed from them which I received in a defective condition was sold to me by someone who was botching the paperwork (which is why he was fired) and that I have no warranty and have to contact someone above them to rectify, otherwise I pay to repair it! Apparently several customers including me are going through this!
If the dealership knows that a salesman representing their company has done this why wouldn’t they take it upon themselves to gather the customers who have been affected and correct the issues? The dealership is saying that I have to call their boss! If there was a 0 star rating…they would get it from me otherwise I give a 1 star rating! Don’t take any risks with this dealership!
