A Disheartening Experience at 401Auto on Upper James in Hamilton
I recently had an extremely disappointing My encounter with this dealership left me feeling frustrated, disrespected, and deceived. Unfortunately, I must share my experience ** **** ********* ********* ***** *** ************* ****** ***** *** ******** ******* that I encountered during my visit.From the outset, I felt a sense of unease as the sales staff exhibited a lack of empathy, professionalism and transparency. I was coerced into buying a car that I had clearly expressed no interest in, and despite my firm stance, the pressure to make a purchase was relentless. This aggressive sales tactic not only made me uncomfortable *** **** ****** ******* ******** ***** *** ****** ** **** **********.
The actual price of the is around 21000, they sold it to me for 47000 dollars

They did not follow any of my requirements for what I wanted other than vaguely the size of the car. That was it. They tried to convince me to buy a car sight unseen. They did a full credit report and check without flagging or consulting me first. And then when I didn't like the options they gave me, they tried to guilt me or convince me they put their entire reputations and careers on the line with the bank just to get me a good deal.

It's honestly offensive and desperate. And when I said I had been talking to other dealerships (even though I had stated in my first call this was happening and I would change that), the manager ***** * ***** ***, claiming I'd never get a better deal with my history. That the banks would never take me seriously—implying they would tell them I wasn't a serious buyer.
I found other places willing to actually hear me for what I actually requested. They were way more professional and I found a few better offers.

Car given had flat tire on pick up, heater not working nor were the wipers next day . Call them said bring it back to kitchener and we fix it. Problem not resolved .
Now tell me after 2 weeks I blew the motor in the car...
I need to pay to fix it .. after 2 weeks .
Asked for a different Car due to issues and told I need to sign a release letter and give the financial company a release letter . When their job to ensure Car safe and financial their obligation to send letter to not me ..

1 star401 auto Peterborough ** * ***** ** ****** lots of phone calls **** ** ** to get you to buy then there’s no customer service! They way overcharged me for a truck told me it was a different model. My salesman told me not to worry he would take it back in on a trade. I bought a van in September 2022, at first they were nice because they wanted the sale but when I got their and sign the deal a lot of problems accrued. Their was so many scratches, the hood was peeling, the heated seat didn’t work and the promise to fix it and they said nothing was wrong with the vehicle. Getting ahold of them was terrible. The sales rep was terrible he stop answering my call. The service is just terrible and now I have to spend money out of my pocket to get a ride to their body work in Waterloo to get these things fix when it’s their fault. After all that they said they can’t fix my heated seats because it’s not their problem anymore. Ontop of that the car was 12500km more than what I bought so **** *** to get me their and then gave me a 500$ gift card for the wrong Information. My first purchase perfect..this one not so much. Recieved our van in late November 2022... first the lights didn't work.. issue with battery. In April had oil change my transmission went 5 days later there is only 106000.km on van.
