We recently installed a fence around the front of our property because we live on a street where the vehicles often exceed the 80km/h speed limit. We have dogs and do not want them to accidentally follow a deer on the road while we are walking them. Leaving the gate open defeats the purpose of having a gate. We have never had any issues with our dogs and delivery people as we have a secondary fenced area closer to the house. The gate does not have a lock on it and is easy to open. But we have been informed that we will have to pick up all of our larger parcels at the post office from now on. ****** ********* *** *** do not seem to have an issue with the gate. But somehow Canada Post has decided that rain, sleet or snow will not stop them, but a gate will. It is terribly inconvenient to have to go to the post office to pick up packages. We will try and request from ****** to no longer use canada post for our deliveries.Business Response

I have filed 2 service tickets with Canada Post and I have received minimal assistance and also am being ignored through email correspondence as there service ticket representative does not follow up or answer any replies to emails she sends me. I have 2 packages in which one they have told me it has been lost but will not update me as to the status of it nor will they tell me if they are sending me the insurance cheque for it to the right senders address. The other package is apparently returning back from Germany overseas but they will not update me with any tracking updates just that its coming back to me..... Absolutely no due dilligence on their part I try to email them back and as I said no response. I filed these 2 tickets and I have had to call in already twice and they just don't really help me. I use this company on a daily basis the revenues they garner from me using their service and this is the customer service attention I get... ******* ****** ********** * ********* ******** ****** *************** ******** I have email correspondence that reflects what I am entailing in terms of the non service I have been provided by this "support" teamBusiness Response

My mail was send last July 5, 2023 thru express postage. The standard processing time is 2 days should be recieve July 7th. The update was process in Toronto, Ontario instead of delivering to British Columbia. My letter is very important containing sensitive immigration letter. Now I cant go to work because I don't have the certificate. I already take my flight last Sunday July 9th and hotel was booked. My work start on July 12th which is cant start without the certificate. I will be paying my house here without working.
I want them to deliver my mail asap because it affect my job. Staff in canada post cant do the job properly they should get fired before they will affect other peoples life. So unfortunate i need to pay my housing without a job. I can’t cancel my flight and housing since there is no refund on it. I was waiting for the the certificate for 7 months and then the post office missed up the delivery.
I want them to deliver my letter tomorrow July 14th and refund the fee. They should pay me for the damage they cause, my housing fee and my salary i cant have because i cant go to work.
Final destination of my mail is Port Coquitlam BC but instead it was sent to Toronto Ontario. Now it always say in transit to final destination. This is unacceptable mistake.Business Response

Canada Post is constitenly late with Expedited parcels yet still charging for them. Most recently I filed claim for an order that hadn't move in 2 days from being accepted by the post office, then took from July 8 to July 11 to process the item in Ottawa. Was to be delivered today but clearly won't be since it hasn't even been put in transit!
Previously was told I would be given a refund for the LATE order before, never recieved it (not surprised) now this order could have been delivered DAYS AGO but nope Canada Post employees can't seem to fullfill the expedited parcel option they offer at a high rateBusiness Response

Hello,
My issue is regarding a delivery. **************** is the tracking number. I really wanted to expedite the shipment as it's actually for a birthday gift. It's expensive around $250. It was an international shipment released by customs already and in possession of Canada Post. I am just asking them to deliver latest by Friday or Saturday. I cannot afford to spent another $250. I am ready to pay some extra for express delivery. They are not trying to understand. I do understand it was delayed by ******* and *****, the company I purchased from as it was dispatched from Singapore. The ETA from Canada Post is Monday, but I really can't wait till Monday. If i can get some help from higher management.Business Response

*On 26/05 I sent an international package with guaranteed delivery and a signature on delivery.
*I mailed it from the Chatham post office (******** **** ****). It was a small laptop. I told her its a laptop. She accepted it without any issues. The battery is attached to the laptop and can't be removed. I used my own box and the lady over the counter packed it and put the labels.
*Contacted Online CA Post support multiple times during the first 2 weeks after the shipment, and they told me it was moving as usual.
*Chat with the CA Post agent and they told me the same multiple times.
*On 6/6 I went to the local post office and they told me to wait for some more days.
*On 8/6, I lodged a Customer enquiry lodged with the *** ****. No update since then.
*On 12/6 *** **** via chat advised the package has never arrived in Australia and that I should be reaching out to the CA Post on the update.
*On 14/6, I told the CA Post agent to log an inquiry
*On 15/6 I went back to the post office and they told me it's being sent back to me. But they are not sure. They told me to wait.
*On 16/06, online tracking showed the item is being returned to me due to being non-mailable.
I believe it's returned back due to the battery. If you had told me you don't accept it then I would have never sent it through you. It's been over 3 weeks and this delay is costing me money and patience. I still haven't received back the item nor any form of refund and no communications at all from the postal department.Business Response

Canada Post is avoiding paying out on an insured package that was delivered to my customer crushed. Many contents of the package were damaged.
I opened the service ticket May 15, 2023 after my customer sent me photos of the damaged parcel.
After no contact from Canada Post, I escalated the claim on May 24th.
Finally, the claims department emailed my customer twice with questions. My customer provided confirmation of the damage along with photos.
The claims department sent my customer a 3rd follow up email with more questions. My customer didn't see the email, as she was dealing with a family emergency. The claims department rep left me a voicemail to let me know of the email sent to my customer with more questions. In that voicemail, i was told that we had until August to resolve the problem. The claims rep also sent me an email on June 2nd, letting me know that she hadn't received a reply from my customer in 2 days. I replied to the claims rep letting her know that my customer is dealing with a family emergency, give her some time. Early the next week i called Canada Post again to follow up, to find out that the service ticket had been closed. ???? No notice to myself or my customer.
Furious, I opened another service ticket.
I have escalated the matter now with many customer service supervisors. I have been guaranteed 4 times that someone from claims would call me. No one has. On June 8th a supervisor sent an urgent message to the management of the claims department & I was told they would get back to me within 3 days. No one did. June 13th another supervisor sent another urgent message to the management of claims requesting that they call me by end of day June 14. No one did.
This is unacceptable. My customer needs to be refunded for this damaged package.Business Response

and regret the stress and inconvenience this may have caused you. According to
your local delivery office , the items were not located. I am very sorry that
we have no further updates for you regarding these items . Should you require a

course of action would be to contact the senders of these items as they were

I am rejecting this response because:the local delivery office should take responsibility, thoroughly investigate and try to locate the packages. No one called me during their so-called investigation. Something happened to my packages on May 29th which caused them to be rescheduled to the next business day. At least if the claim is that the packages were delivered on May 30th, where were they scanned delivered? Can the local office please look into this one more time?

I am rejecting this response because:I believe no one made a search for my packages. Asking me to get the sender to file a claim is the easy way out. No one took the time to call me and nothing has been done in terms of locating my packages. This is very irresponsible of Canada Post. It has caused me so much time and stress. I asked MULTIPLE times for someone to reach out to me, at least make me understand how two packages can just vanish into thin air. I have been waiting to hear from someone for almost a month!

I am rejecting this response because:This could have been handled better. It’s been over a month since I sent those items and I have heard nothing from Canada Post. I reached out to them on the 11th of May and they lied to me telling me the shipper has to be the one to pick up the package which isn’t true. They had just one job which is to return the item to the company and they lost it. I can’t get my refund from the organization either way because it’s been more than 45 days since the items was ordered and they have a return policy of 30 days.
