      I reserved a car for a total of $59.42. Ended up paying $299.11. They force you to pay for insurance unless you have your insurance declaration page with you. That was an additional $299.11. The had another six fees that added almost another $100. We had to wait 30 mins for the shuttle when arriving and when leaving. Overall, a bad experience...

      Make this company as your last resort for vehicle rental. They will charge you $600 for driving 530 km. So many hidden fees and policies.**** ******** ** *********** * ****. I don't need my money back. I just want this racket to end and hope that no more innocent customers falls for this *****.

      *** ***** *** ****** ******* ** *** ****** From start to finish, the whole experience of renting from Routes was atrocious. I rented through the Chicago airport location and they charged me $260 for a "border crossing fee" for driving to Wisconsin, even though they advertise their rentals as "unlimited mileage." They've since charged my credit card for a "no show" fee, even though I picked up the car. Their customer service is horrible *** ********** they don't supply clear answers, and I've wasted so many hours of my life trying to protect myself from their ********* way of doing business. ** *** **** **** *********

      I had a terrible experience with Routes Car Rental. If I could give them a lower rating, it would be zero. After booking with them, my son had warned me that I might not have a good experience, but I was still hopeful when I arrived. However, when we got there, the agent told us that we had gotten a really good deal on the rental. She continued to rave about how cheap of a deal we got and all my aunt needed to do is to pay a $500 deposit and a $130 fee for tolls and unlimited mileage, even though unlimited mileage was already included in the rental through Priceline and there was no mention of a $500 deposit in the Priceline deal. The agent explained that my aunt, who is not a Floridian, had to pay the $500 deposit, and if I, as a Floridian, had rented the vehicle, I would have to pay a $1500 deposit due to the risk of not returning the vehicle. Even after speaking with a manager or supervisor, who reiterated the policy, we were still skeptical, especially when we saw other people coming in to rent vehicles. We felt there was no way these people were paying a $500 deposit, let alone a $1500 deposit. The agent claimed the policy online clearly stated the $500 deposit as well as the $1500 deposit. She said I did not read all of the information provided in the policy. However, Priceline only stated a $250 deposit that had to be on a credit card belonging to the driver of the rental. It clearly stated the card had to be in the name of the driver with a $250 deposit available. Why would Priceline go against Routes Car Rental policy? Makes no sense at all.This whole experience was a complete disaster. After this encounter with Routes Car Rental, our day went completely downhill. Nothing but chaos followed. It was like a domino effect. What should have been a smooth transaction turned out to be a nightmare.

      Terrible customer service! Forced me to by no needed insurance ****** **** * **** ***** ** ** *** ********* **** *** ***** **** ******** ** ** *** ******** ** **** ** *** ******. They issued cancel request, I signed it and was promised money back in 5-10 business days. Happened on 08/31/24. Today, 09/16/24, after 6 calls been transferred and dropped.
      NEVER EVER use their service again.

      Terrible customer service! Credit card machines kept shutting down in rental office in Orlando Florida. Selling insurance that customers dont need! Car seats terribly stained! Customer service does not answer the phones! Over charged me foe a rental! **** ****** *** ******* *** ***** *****

      This is a fake company operating from ******The same agent answers every call but uses different names.Their prices seem cheap, but double when it's time to pick up the car.The front desk staff are **** and unprofessional.

      ****** ******** * * **** ******* I rented a car from Routes for a week and upon arrival at the airport was directd to call a number to alert shuttle. We called for over an hour and no one answered. We made our way to the rental car desks and was told this was "offsite and not a great company good luck". We found others waiting at a dock numbered 22 for off site shuttles. After almost another hour a shuttle arrived and the people getting off were very angry and said don't get on, ********** company lots of hidden fees and no cars. I had prepaid for this car. We tried to get on the shuttle but it was full. When asking diver about next shuttle he pretended not to speak English and then stood outside the shuttle for another 45 minutes. Told us he couldn't leave or he would get a ticket. We then decided to try to cancel reservation but no answers on phone from anyone. Still trying to get a refund. We ended up renting from ***** on site. Cost me $100 more and ******* working on refund. ** *** **** **** **** ********
