      After banking with Tangerine for almost 20 years, they closed our account with no notice and no explanation. The letter basically just said "we're done". We called to ask for more information and they said they couldn't tell us anything. (??) I still have no idea what we did wrong. We sold some of our meagre mutual funds without asking them - that's the only thing I can think of. But banking online, independently, is what I've always done and why I liked Tangerine - not having to talk to anyone! I just don't understand, and they weren't willing to even explain.

      Wow, terrible. I was with Tangerine many, many years ago and they were phenomenal. I honestly recommended them to everyone *** ***** ***********. Re-opened an account with them tonight and called to see when I could expect a card. After a 20 minute hold, I was connected to an agent that I could only understand 1 out of every 15 (if that) words she said. Next thing I know, I'm back on hold...presumably with no explanation as to why. Well, it's now been another hour, and she still has not returned to take me off hold. I'll be ending the call now and looking into other banks.
      **** ********* ** ********** **********. Seems the days of 1 minute holds and proper customer service are long gone with Tangerine, and I will very likely be closing this new account long before I ever even get a card (which may or may not be coming).

      I am writing to express my frustration with the process of handling my business account. My business was officially closed six months ago, yet I have been unable to transfer the funds from my CD savings account due to the restrictions imposed by Tangerine policies.
      It is deeply disappointing to encounter such roadblocks when dealing with what should be a straightforward procedure. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter, it has become evident that there is a lack of clarity and expertise within their team regarding the processes specific to business banking. DO NOT put your business equity at risk!

      I had a frustrating experience with Tangerine Bank. After over a month with them, they cancelled my ** account transfer without letting me know. I waited over 30 days for the transition, only to find out it had been cancelled. So, I tried again, but the same thing happened—cancelled, and still no heads-up from them. They claimed they had tried to call me, but I never got a call.
      At that point, I decided to close my account. Honestly, I expected much better from a bank owned by **********. The whole process was incredibly disappointing and caused so much unnecessary hassle. Trust is everything with banking, and Tangerine completely lost mine.

      Bad customer service just closed bank account without any notice I called them they won't even help you I was scam in my bank account they just closed my bank account because of scam I talk to them they would not help me at all very **** bad customer service they don't care about their customers would not recommend Tangerine bank to any one

      I am extremely disappointed with how Tangerine has handled my account transfer request. Despite being a customer for over ten years, they failed to have my full name on file, resulting in a two month-long delay and still on going in transferring my funds to ***. This error is entirely on their end, yet they have been uncooperative and have caused significant inconvenience.       *** ***** ******* * **** **** ************ Got a credit card. Couldn’t activate. Tried to arrange vid appt to activate. No one showed up to video appointments. Call. Says 30 min wait. No one picks up for an hour had to hang up. Sent a million emails no one responds. Some one called. Asked me for identifying info I said how do I know it’s you. She said would send email for vid link - never did. I now want to cancel. Can’t even reach anyone to do that. DO NOT bank with these people. They basically don’t exist. I couldn’t activate OR cancel. ******.

      I have been a loyal Tangerine customer for years and hold a ********** with them. Recently, Tangerine placed a block on my card without any prior notification. After attempting multiple purchases and even adding funds to the card, I realized there was an issue and contacted their customer service.
      During the call, I was required to verify every recent transaction. Although they eventually unlocked my **********, I received another call shortly after from a different representative who informed me that security measures were in place due to unusual activity. I had to explain several transactions and their amounts. I clarified that I rarely use this debit card, with only one regular transaction on the first of each month for $615 and a monthly child tax deposit of approximately $305.
      Despite my explanations, the representative questioned me about a $200 transaction, which I had transferred from my line of credit to my checking account and then to my **********. When I explained that I don't frequently use this card, the representative implied that I should have provided this information earlier.
      Throughout this process, Tangerine failed to communicate why my ********** was blocked, and their approach made me feel like a suspect for not recalling every transaction. Due to this experience, I have decided to close my accounts with Tangerine and switch to another bank.
