      I opened an account, had my first pay check deposited and Tangerine will not release it, I cannot contact them because I either get disconnected or sit on hold for hours. When I am able to speak to Tangerine they give another excuse about why they won’t give me my money. Tangerine has impossible for my boss to retract the paycheque. I just graduated high school and now I haven’t been able to pay my rent or pay my bills *** **** *** **** ****, all because Tangerine won’t give back my money. I got a full time job as an apprentice and Tangerine completely corrupted the process for me to be paid for my work.

      ** *** **** ****. They have allowed others to reset my pin with 3 simple questions and steal all my money. They have the put a hold on my children's account and refuse to let me transfer the money out.

      Trying to access my RSP funds for a pension buyback requires long hold times to speak to an agent who gives me an incorrect fax number to submit forms. Another long wait to discover forms haven't been received (though fax went through and new agent confirms fax number) - I insist on speaking with an investment specialist who gives me a "newer" fax number. No digital submission option - just fax, cross your fingers, call back in two days and wait another 45 - 60 minutes to see if my time sensitive request has been received. Two thumbs down.

      Worst customer service ever...good luck reaching a human. Problems depositing money, transferring to/from other banks, spending money; right now, I'm worried about transactions not going through with no notice from Tangerine, so I tried to transfer my money to a mainstream bank and Tangerine locked my account....when I finally got through to a security specialist, they unlocked my account, but the transaction was nowhere to be found. Now I've got to spend another hour on hold to speak to a representative about where my transfer went, because it's not in my tangerine account and not in my destination bank.
      Working with Tangerine has been the most painful banking experience in my life....I just want out; (will have to wait for hours on the phone for that, I'll bet).

      ********* **** ** ********** ********l. Without warning or justification they ***** money from my savings account saying it was because the account was inactive. Wait times on the phone were ridiculously long, their chat bot is useless and there is no way to contact them via email. All I wanted was to get my money back and close the account. When I finally got through to them by phone and asked for the money back they said 'no way''. I transferred the remaining funds out of the account and told them to close the account. I will never deal with Tangerine Bank ever again.

      The online and app interaction is fine -
      Twice had to call to have funds released for e-transfer. The second time they called me and I said yes its authorized...then they forgot all about it and I had to wait 2 hours on hold to get someone in the security department.
      If you ever have to call a human at Tangerine especially the security department, be prepared to wait for 15 minutes for customer agent, and up to 4 hours or longer for security department.
      There is no such thing as a call back from the Security department.
      Their call center timing is appalling in this day and age. The idea of timely customer service is a complete joke. horrific and will be moving my $$$$$ out to another bank that actually values me as a customer.

      Very worst bank in Canada. I have had this account for past 7 months. Recently my Account has been compromised and some one did lot of cheque deposits. I called up the bank and ask them to close the accounts as the cheques are not deposited by me. The customer care rep said first make the account zero balance then we can close. I said how can since the cheques are not legitimate. But they didnt listen to what I say and they teansferred to other bank of mine. After that i got a mail from ****** ******** **** (Nadia) which was like *********** and it was called as Final Notice i have to pay the amount or they will put in collections which will affect the credit score which is ridiculous. So if any one wants to open Bank Account with this bank be aware that their security is very worst. They are not ready to investigate from where the cheque came in or who did it but instead they will ask you to take the money then they will torture you to pay

      I've been a client since this started as ING Direct many years ago, when this company was at its prime. Since its transition to Tangerine, the products and customer service have progressively deteriorated over the years where Tangerine now has resource constraints, and is managed by a skeleton team who are not experienced nor adequately trained to provide proper customer service or resolve issues outside of their prescripted responses. If all you need is a place to park your money, with no services needed, then you're fine. But, once you do need services of ANY type, your only option (NO live chat, email or scheduled customer calling available) is to call, which is at least 1 - 1.5 hrs of wait time, despite their claimed "award-winning Client service". This is one of the pitfalls of dealing with an organization with a virtual presence only. The absence of brick-and-mortar branches is a major disadvantage. Tangerine had provided advice to me for a time sensitive service which I asked about months in advance, and when it came time to deliver, (after multiple calls & hours of wait time), I was advised that I have been misinformed by the previous agent, and that there is nothing they can do for me. This triggered an easy decision to move my accounts elsewhere which I initiated online by transferring funds out. The transfer of funds from my last of 3 accounts with them was blocked, with a system message advising me that there is missing information on my profile, and that I must CALL their customer service to sort it out!! After another few hours of calls over 2 days, I managed to finally get my funds out. As Tangerine is a subsidiary of **********, it is disappointing with the lack of oversight & governance exercised by the parent company to address such negative customer experiences. ****** **** ***** ** ******* *********** **** * **** **** ** ****** *********** ***** ******** ******* *** ********* ** ****** **** ***** ** * ********* ********** *******
