      We rent a iron filter from reliance and the installer didn’t done his job properly, our basement was flooded couple times till we found out what’s the issue.
      We call reliance, a guy show up and he recognized that it was there fold.
      But few weeks later we got email from reliance claim department saying that they have nothing to do with the flood.
      Now we are in the cort trying to get justice.
      It’s very difficult to deal with them when it comes to get what is yours.

      I recently had my air conditioner replaced through Reliance, and unfortunately, the experience has been far from satisfactory. The initial response when I inquired was prompt and professional, which gave me confidence in moving forward. However, things took a sharp downturn after the sale and installation.
      First, the installers failed to provide the AC cover that was promised. It has now been four days, and despite repeated follow-ups, all I’ve received is a vague one-liner saying someone will drop it off — with no follow-through.
      More concerning, I was assured that the diagnostic fee would be waived if I proceeded with the installation, which I did. Yet, I later noticed a charge of over $100 on my credit card. When I contacted Reliance, I was told to speak directly with the dealer who handled the AC sale. Despite several messages, I have received no meaningful response or resolution.
      The entire experience post-installation has been unprofessional and frustrating. I am still waiting for a clear update or resolution. For clarity, I have no complaints about the technician who performed the diagnostic or the two individuals who completed the installation — they were courteous and professional. My issue lies with the way the process has been handled by Mr. ******, the representative managing this through Reliance.

      On November 2024, we purchased a furnance and an air conditioner from Reliance Home Comfort. The sale man gave us the promotion: use them as rental equipment with no payment for one year, from November 2024 to October 2025. He also gave us the rental aggrement with the lease value of equipment was $13,365.00. He said that we could pay off with the price $9,856.00 before we finished one year rental. That was the reason why we purchased from Reliance Home Comfort.
      In June 2025, we received an ebill from Reliance. They told us that we needed to pay $ 165.75 monthly. We tried to call the sale man to ask him about the ebill. We could not contact him as his phone number was not in service. Then, we contacted Reliance customer service. We asked them about the issue. They said that the promotion was only for six months, from November 2024 to April 2025. We were surprised with the information from customer service. After that, we decided to pay off after six months. The customer service person told us that we should pay off with the price $ 13,365.00 instead of $9,856.00.
      In our opinion, the sale man was *** to us when we signed the contact with him. We are really not happy with Reliance service. ** *** *** ******* *** * ******* *** ******** *** *** ************ ****** ** *** ******** ******** **** ********

      My experience with Reliance was incredibly frustrating. My hot water stopped working on Saturday, so I booked an appointment for Sunday using my account number, which clearly shows what equipment I have. When the technician arrived, he took one look and said he couldn’t touch it because he wasn’t HVAC licensed. Why would Reliance send someone who’s not qualified to deal with the equipment they know I have?
      I called back and was told no one else could come that day because all appointments were done. So I had to wait longer due to their mistake. I called again, and the agent said they escalated the issue and someone would call me within an hour. Surprise, no one called. I called again and was told someone would definitely be at my house by 10am the next day.
      Guess what? No one showed up. No call, no update. I called again and was told someone would be there “within the hour.” Still nothing. No communication, no accountability, just empty promises and wasted time.
      Completely unprofessional and extremely disappointing service.

      I have been without hot water for a week. The first visit was a no show. I took a half day off work and they came after the time window but I had to leave *** * ****** ************ The 2nd appointment they did not bring parts to fix my error code even though I gave them the error code when I called. The third visit they installed the parts but tank was still not working. Now I have an appt for today to fix again but no one showed up. The appt was between 8am-1pm. It is six pm now and I called at 1pm, 4pm and 6pm. Each time they said they would tell the tech to call me back and let me know what is going on. I have still not been contacted. I would just like some consideration ** ** ** ******* **** * ***** *****. I have been waiting ** ** *** ** **** *** *** *** ** ******** **** ****** ** ** **** **** ** **** *** ******* But I haven’t had water for a week and I don’t want to prolong that. How hard is it to call a customer to let them know that you will be late or that you can’t come. I’ve already taken three half days off work for this problem. ** *** **** ** *************

      I had a 10-year rental contract with Reliance for a water heater at $19.99/month. I completed the full term, yet they continued charging me monthly without clear notice or my consent. Worse, they increased the rate without transparent communication.
      I spent hours on the phone being transferred from agent to agent, repeating the same story. ** *** ********* ****** **** * **** ******** ***** pain just trying to cancel. They made it sound like removing the heater was a threat — but really, that was the only honest thing they said.

      I appreciate the reply, but I want to clarify that I did call multiple times and formally requested cancellation. You informed me that he will contact the landlord, all calls are recorded it. I also completed the full 10-year term, as agreed. Despite that, I was still being billed beyond the contract period, and the rate was increased without any transparent notification.
      Your comment says billing continues unless formal cancellation is received, but I made that request verbally over the phone and also sent email communication stating I do not wish to continue the rental. I should not be charged indefinitely after a completed contract.
      This has been a frustrating experience and not what I expected after being a loyal customer for 10 years. I still request confirmation that the contract has been cancelled and that no further billing will occur.

      ***** ******* **** ** **** ***** I rented my house 24 years paying a rental on the hot water tank. In 2016 the tank needed to be replaced due to it was ********** *** leaking. After they replaced it they would not rent it anymore and were trying to make me as the tenant buy it out. The landlord wouldn't do it, I wasn't about to and now years later after crushing my credit and creditors emails and calls. I finally did buy it. I left the house because ** *** ****** **** *** *** ** **** **** *** ** ****** ** ****** ****** **** ** **** *** *** **** * ***** * ***** *** ** ***** ****** *** ****** **** * ***** *** *** *** * ** ******** **** **** ****** *** After multiple times trying to get reliance to fix this issue, some lady actually emailed me and said they spoke to the landlord and NOW saying I did it myself without thier knowledge! Like what the heck, ya I replaced a hot water tank myself? Not likely.       Terrible ******* to deal with if you are doing a renovation. They will repeatedly send the wrong equipment, drag out the install for months and basically make the HVAC that most painful part of the renovation.

      They are the absolute worst ******* when it comes to customer service and reliability. They should change their company name to Non-Reliance!
      Their staff are trained to be ****, indecisive, and they actually do not know the law, they preach like their the experts, but when you ask them to back up what their saying they have no solid proof of it. All they want is your money and when you need their help they leave you feeling helpless, not to actually service anything..but to do whatever it they can do to not honour their terms of agreement. And to push you to sign up to get a new AC on your own when they didn't want to fix the problems in the first place.
