We hired Black Tar Construction to repave our driveway, and I must say, the whole process was smooth from start to finish. Our driveway had several issues, including deep cracks and sinking in one area, making it look worn out. After getting a few quotes from other companies, we decided to go with Black Tar because they gave us a competitive price and a clear plan to address the problems.

After a two month review of the final product with regards to our new paved driveway my initial shock over the lack of quality has not changed.Our new driveway is very uneven (even humpbacked), heavy seamed and looks like a city road which has been repaired after pothole repair season..We are not happy with the product and I cannot recommend this company on several fronts ,not just the final product.Please you are welcome to visit our home in ************, ******* to view for yourself before hiring this firm.*************************************************.Black Tar Construction

There was one area with an elevation difference that you werent happy with, even though it was draining as expected. To ensure your satisfaction, our team, including myself, stayed behind for an additional two hours after completing the driveway. We added asphalt to fix the dip, even though I advised against it due to potential cosmetic ************ bylaws ensure proper drainage, which we adhered to during the project. Nevertheless, we stand by our work and your satisfaction is our top priority. After extensive research and contacting several companies, Black Tar's customer service truly stood out. I noticed it as soon as I called initially for an estimator around August of 2023. From the moment they answered the phone to the prompt visit by their estimator 3 days later, their professionalism was apparent. It was cool how I received the quote via email before the estimator even left my property. They completed our driveway last fall, impressing us with their timeliness and the flawless execution of the project. My experience with this asphalt company was just stellar. They really prioritize quality work and customer service, and it shows. My spouse and I are happy we went with Black Tar, we were on the fence at first between them and another contractor, but now we know we made a good choice. They answered the phone right away and were super responsive with emails, which made everything so smooth. The work they did looks really sharp, exactly what we were hoping for. We got the tip from our neighbour, and after seeing their work and hearing good things, we knew we had to go with them.
