For a couple of months we have been receiving robo-calls from FDR Ltd who reference
***** *******, file number ******************. We do not know this person. I called FDR and advised them but the calls continue unabated, often more than 10 daily. When I block the number, the calls come from a different number. This has happened repeatedly.
We are 75 years old, ******* **** ****** ******. This is harassing. How do I get the calls to stop.
The calls come on our home phone at ************ which is a ****** home phone registered in my name.Business Response

FDR contacting individuals whom I have no contact with about a debt I owe. *** **** **** ********* ******** **** ***** ****** ******* ******* * **** ***** *** ** ** ** ******* **** *** **** * ****** ** **** **** *** ******. I know the person yes but no contact number.
I have dealt with FDR over the phone before with another number I had. However I had to change it because I was getting more than 2 calls or contact attempts by them per day. Also my cellular device started having problems after every contact they made with me. This happened 3 times with 3 different numbers. How they get my new numbers is beyond me. *** * ******* ***** ** **** ********* ******** **** ** *** **** ***** ** ***** **** ** ***** *** ******* ** *** ******* ***. ******.
If they can contact people around me that I don't have contact with then they can easily find my number using the same method doesn't one think.
Nevertheless I owe a debt and have contacted FDR several times to make arrangements. They end up putting me on hold every time for more than 20 minutes at least so I hang up. No call back from them whatsoever. They will however contact people I know to stage the issue with my debt 3 months later. The communication is futile at the least.

i was contacted about an outstanding debt (being disputed) i was taken advantage of by an a terrible salesperson that later lost his job. Out of desperation i was put in a deal wit 29% interest on a $4500 car that had to be scrapped after less than 2 years due to leaking head gasket i paid what i could but i was in a situation where i simply could not afford to pay for a car i coulld not drive. i tried to dispute it with the car store but got nowhere .
recently fdr has contacted me and i requesteq an email with info where i could make payments and that email was never sent now they are callimg my place of enployment (totally unacceptable) also ive made an arrangement mo monday to conctac them on Wednesday tuesday the called me again 5 times annoying my landlord to the point of telling me if these calls dont stop i will need to find another place to live . this has to stop.Business Response

I do not accept this response. I have shared previously during my communications with this business that I would be happy to pay my debt. The only option I am given is to pay it all at once which is not suitable for my financial situation at this time. I will not take out a loan to pay this debt but I would be happy to do monthly payments as I've stated over the phone several times. I keep getting robo calls from this company any I call in to advise they have the wrong number and they say they will update the file but do not. They also sometimes just hang up on me. This company, FDR Ltd, has been calling our home phone non-stop looking for some one named ******** ******* *****. This person does not live here. Our phone number is not her number. We have no association with this person. They have left numerous messages on our answering machine, and whenever there is a person on the other end to speak to, we have made it very clear that they have the wrong number. I have had my current phone for at least 5 years. That's how long the calls have been happening. The person who had the number before me is ****** * **********. He is the one who owes the money and had the number before me. They won't believe that I'm not him or know him. Yesterday, for the 4th time I called FDR and asked them who the complaint was for and they confirmed ****** **********.
