FDR Ltd has been calling me up to 3 times per day, and even calling me after I have spoken to a customer service representative on the same day. They insist that I owe them over $7000 on a credit card that I have never had, and have never banked with the specific bank. I called the bank directly and they said they have no record of that debt. The manager at FDR has consistently threatened me with legal action but not followed through. I’ve asked for letters in writing and they continually harass me. They told me they will keep calling until I provide a police report, verification from **********, and proof of filing identity theft report with *******. This takes time and I’ve asked them to stop calling me. They continue to call several times a day from many different phone numbers. I’ve shown good faith, and have even proven that one of the addresses connected to that credit card isn’t mine, nor have I ever lived there. Whenever I try to explain myself, the manager interrupts and tells me to pay or his paralegal will send me something in the mail. I’ve said “Please send me something in the mail,” and then he says, “Have a good day, ma’am” and hangs up. I’ve called back and had to ask someone else for the email address that the manager wants me to send PDFs of police reports to. I was told they would take me off the automated calling list for 7 days. When I hung up, the automated call came again within five minutes. I do not owe this money. I need time to file reports. My mental health cannot sustain with these calls throughout the day.Business Response

Good afternoon ****.
We apologize for the ongoing phone calls. Your file has been
placed on a temporary hold until October 3rd, that should be a
sufficient amount of time to file what you need. Once that is complete, please
forward us over the documentation so that we may handle this matter
accordingly.

FDR LTD continues to call providing a case number and additional information regarding a different ******* ***. I have spoken with this company countless times and every time, I inform them that the SIN number they have on file is not mine and belongs to a different person. Once I speak with them, the calls stop for about a month and they continue to call again. These calls are now on the level of harassment and I am considering taking legal action against them. They call multiple times a day sometimes back to back. My family has also spoken with them on my behalf and explained the same situation, but of course, they only speak with me. The fact that it seems as though NO ONE keeps notes, information, or any indication of these conversations is appalling from a client service standpoint.Business Response

September 12, 2022 at 11:11am- I was contacted by an acquaintance advising FDR had contacted them by phone to collect a debt contracted to my name, and my name only. FDR advised they were contacting all my friends through the social media platform ********. Should the friend have a telephone number attached to their account, FDR is reaching out to them to collect a debt payment.
I have never been contacted by FDR, by telephone, email or by mail for any collections. I do have a missed account with ***** **** so I reached out to them right away.
September 12, 2022 at 11:14am - Upon discussions with ******* at ***** **** ****** ***** ***-***-****, the account was sent to Collections, but as I made a payment arrangement with ***** **** directly, the account would be processed through ***** **** only and no further collections would be involved.
September 12, 2022 at 11:17am – I reached out to FDR directly requesting them to stop harassing my friends/acquaintances or I would proceed with a Harassment Cease and Desist Letter. The representative, ******* (************** *****) advised they will do anything in their power to embarrass and humiliate me into paying a debt collection FDR received from ***** ****.
The ***** **** loan was in my name only, and no additional applicants were on the account. FDR is going above and beyond reaching out to my friends and family through social media. Therefore, I am requesting there be no further contact by the business, FDR, They are harassing parties that are not applicants of the collection, they are breaching confidentiality by releasing my personal information to third parties, and have yet to provide me with a demand letter or any written communication regarding my debt.Business Response

Good afternoon, *****
After review of this complaint,
FDR can confirm that calls were being placed to the contact information we have
on file, to yourself as well as your references provided at the time of the
***** **** application. Currently you have two separate accounts both for *****
****. Account ******* and account *******.
You had mentioned that FDR has never contacted you, however
we did make reasonable attempts.
April 6th, 2022 – FDR spoke to you, and you had
advised that you cannot make any payment arrangements now due to health reasons
and that as soon as you are able to, you will make an effort towards the
account.
April 13th, 2022 – FDR sent you a letter.
June 17th, 2022 – FDR sent you a letter.
August 23rd, 2022 – FDR contacted you and offered
to get you in touch with a company called *********, which you were interested
in and advised you will call FDR back.
September 12th, 2022 – FDR had contacted you
again.
On September 12th when FDR had contacted you, you
advised that you are looking to pay ***** **** directly and not FDR.
Unfortunately, that is not how it works now that ***** **** has sent this debt
over to our office as of April 4th, 2022. Our agency has been making
our best efforts to resolve this account. Calls will continue until a
reasonable agreement is reached on the account.
Please do not hesitate to contact us. If in fact there was
an agreement made with ***** **** Directly, please forward us over the agreement
so that we may put a hold on both accounts in our office.
Thank you.Initial Complaint

I am being called constantly by a Company FDR Limited claiming I owe money. I found out this is a collection agency. It is a recorded message for someone not my name. I have called FDR directly 2 times and was assured that they understand that it is not me and that they will remove my number from the call list. They also said the person they are looking for is in Vancouver, I am in Toronto and have a *** area code. I am not sure how to stop them calling and I am hoping that you can handle this. The name of the person they are trying to reach is ******* ******, which is not me and I do not know them.Business Response

FDR is constantly calling my home phone looking for a person who has an outstanding debt.
Her alleged name is ****** *******
I do not know of this person and have never heard of them but assume on her credit application she used my number which did not belong to her.
If FDR did their research by going to ****** *** and punching in this phone number they would have found out that this number does not belong to a " ****** ******".
Please have FDR remove my number from their File and cease and desist from harassing me.Business Response

I bought a new cell phone 2 months ago and since then have been getting calls from FDR/*********** debt recovery. I spoke to someone the first time and told them I had no idea who they were looking for and that I had a new number. I've told them to remove me from their call list, I've blocked their number but I keep getting calls. It concerns me that when they sell this debt, I'll start seeing the calls again. I've had calls at 6:30 a.m., the latest today was 9:00 a.m. Pacific time.Business Response

These people call our office number almost EVERY DAY looking for someone who either worked here many years ago or never worked here. I have told them countless times (different people each time) that the person they are asking for NO LONGER WORKS or NEVER WORKED at my company (**** ****** ***) and if they did work here previously they haven't in YEARS. They say ok thank you, we'll update our file...and then they call again and again and again and again (you get the picture). Can these people not understand plain english? We have stopped answering these annoying calls. We are a business and fdrs daily calls are a complete nuisance tying up our limited phone lines.Business Response

FDR keeps harassing my wife and I while I have never had/owed any sort of loan. They have my name and phone number from somewhere, but after I gave them my birthday information and they said it did not match their file and they refused to believe it and threatened to keep calling us. So they are still calling my wife and I 2-3 times per week.
