I am submitting this complaint regarding a collection account that has been incorrectly reported on my personal credit report. The account in question is associated with a business corporation, and I am not personally liable for this debt. I have never entered into any agreement or signed any contract with the creditor or collection agency in my individual capacity.
This collection entry is inaccurate and misleading, as it does not reflect any personal financial obligation of mine. It appears that my name may have been linked to the business account in error. I respectfully request that this matter be thoroughly investigated and that the incorrect information be removed from my credit profile to prevent further harm to my personal credit standing.
I am seeking the prompt removal of this collection entry and confirmation that my personal information will no longer be connected to this or any other unrelated business debt.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:CCA has not provided any documentation demonstrating that I personally owe the alleged debt. Specifically, they have failed to furnish a signed agreement or personal guarantee linking me to this obligation. As the debt pertains to a business corporation, and I did not sign any personal guarantee, I am not personally liable.
Furthermore, I request that all communications be conducted in writing. Verbal communication over the phone is not acceptable for resolving this matter.
Reporting this debt on my personal credit report without substantiating documentation infringes upon my rights under the Ontario Consumer Reporting Act, which mandates that information included in a consumer report must be accurate and verifiable.Until CCA provides valid documentation substantiating my personal liability, I maintain my position that I am not responsible for this debt.

my ex husband had a line of credit which is showing on my credit score he is paying off i can see ir dropping on my credit score ( and have proof of it) yet they keep putting it in a no payments my name was never sign on these document i have requested serval times for this problem to be fixed yet nothing is done about it. We will require additional information for this inquiry as we do not have any account information or financial institution this consumer has an account with. Common Collection Agency (CCA) doesn’t determine liability, the banks use their
lending agreements to determine same. CCA doesn’t alter credit bureaus, the bank would
update associated bureaus to reflect the payment history of the liable parties.
CCA recommends that the complainant request copies of the
lending agreements which outline liability to ascertain the validity of her

I get daily VM messages from this collection agency requesting a call back from a person that is not me! They quote file #******. I don’t know if this is a scam or a legit collection agency but they are looking for ****** * ****** which is not my name. I’m very concerned this is affecting my credit score.Business Response

This collection agency continuously calls our home phone, and my husband's private cellphone. They are also sending mail to our home address. The person they are trying to reach no longer lives with us and we have no contact with them, they have been told this multiple times and have been told to remove our phone numbers from their file. I don't even know how they obtained my husbands cellphone number. I have also repeatedly sent the mailings back marked 'not at this address' This woman who phones has discussed private information abut the person which has nothing to do with us. The continued contacting of our home phone and my husbands cellphone is bordering on criminal harassment. We want all contact to end immediately.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, to protect consumers privacy and security, a 3-point
verification must be completed before the agent can disclose the creditors name.
The employee asked the consumer to confirm her Date of birth or mailing address before she can
continue with the collection call. The consumer refused to provide her vitals and claimed that we are
fraud and will not provide any info until the agent disclosed the creditors name. The agent reiterated
she is calling from Common Collection Agency on behalf of one of the creditors and needs to confirm
her identity before she can continue. The consumer claimed no one has the right to ask her with
personal identification questions. A letter was also mailed to the consumer of the outstanding debt.
It is a mandate that we verify consumers identity before we disclose the creditors name. We hope this
provides clarity to our customer’s concern.

The agent did not identify that the debtor was ** ********* and you did not respond to the comment t made by the agent when I requested by mail only that I was to figure it out myself I don’t want any correspondence either by mail or phone by you , your actions are unprofessional as you have received many complaints , your agents regardless of me providing my information we’re not a acting in a professional matter your free to listen to the conversation from the agent making childish and petty remarks , I’ve always paid my credit cards in the past and am not able to as I am disabled now and not financially able to as explained to ** ********* . I have recently been contacted by this company… AGAIN… after months of no contact. I have specifically told them in the past that if they contact me, they are to do so by mail only. They are not permitted under any circumstances to call me. It is not a request, but rather a flat out demand that they cease contact immediately.

I owned a company called ****** ***** Inc. and had a **** with ***. I sold the business to and no longer owned it. It purchased by ** LTD. Which is publically traded under the name ****** ***** ****** Inc. I moved on and I was later (2yrs later) called by the collection agency for the credit card balance. I was informed by the collection agency that this is on my personal credit history and I need to clear it as I personally guaranteed the **** (not sure if true) and the balance was over $17,000. I didn't want issues, and negotiated the balanced to $15,029 and paid it right within 48hrs. A few days later, I get a letter in the mail from the Collection Agency stating that the balance due was $7,613.82....The letter does not state anything else about the company that had the credit card nor my name. I was basically pursued for something that I was not responsible for and overpaid!!!Business Response

The consumer requested to immediately produce a “Release letter”. As such the final payment had yet
to fully cycle through the 2 separate accounting systems (creditor and agency) . Cycling through the
systems, would have produced a more accurate accounting of the unpaid portion.
On March 27th CCA issued full and final release letter to Mr. ***** as well.
Notwithstanding, the Release is binding regardless of the stated unpaid balance, which is the value of a
Release letter.

Have nothing todo with this company!
This company phones with autodialler everyday for 6 or more months,
I have nothing to do with this company.
They are leaving long messages on my answering machine, don’t know who they are and they have been asked to stop. You can’t phone the number they ask you to call back at, it goes nowhere and ends without being able to leave message. I phone the ontario number and blew my cool, but told them to stop.got hung up on by them.
They better stop because a ******** ********** complaint will be going to the RCMP soon.
A letter was sent but heard no response and phone calls keep coming.
Talking with lawyer and we may sue *** *********** if the calls do not stop!
I read all the complaints on the bbb and they better comply as lawsuit /*********** complaint soon to follow.

The telephone number ************ was assigned with the file from *********** ****** ********* on August 3, 2022. Our agent left a message on that number on different occasions with a 3rd party which gave the impression the customer resides there.
Our automated dialer system called the telephone number, but no message was left. We have since removed the number from our systems to ensure no further calls are made to **** ****** and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We have also removed the email address associated to the account.

This file along with 2 others was assigned to our office on February 2nd 2023 with only a place of employment number for contact. To date, a total of 3 notices have been sent to Mr. ******* informing him to contact our office. Unfortunately this has not transpired and he has not provided any other contact information. No details were provided to his place of employment regarding the purpose of our calls. It is important for Mr. ******* to contact us especially if he is under the impression that this matter has been resolved with the original creditor. As of today, March 29th this matter has not been resolved and continues to have a negative impact against him with our office. We urge Mr. ******* to return the call, verify his identity and he can request to have the number he has provided removed from our file to ensure no future calls are made.
