Well we aren't even customers we received a call that Telus bought ****** home security since we have this system we will get a good rate if we join them we said we would consider this but been with Bell since our first cell phones many many years ago. So long story short package came in mail we never bothered with it so a month later and not activating service we receive a bill for using there service. Made calls waited 2 hours on hold for a rep and said they couldn't talk to me only my wife that had her name on account. So i gave them her phone number and they never called her so now 3 weeks later i called them again waiting another 1.5hrs on hold to be told they did call but no missed calls or voicemail received so I don't think so now they have called and waiting for a resolution on the matter very poor business practices nothing signed or agreed to just here you go activate it and create account which we didn't do so how can you bill for a service that isn't activated? Last thing they *** ***** and just found out plain evidence which is a thank goodness the ****** member price as stated isn't for life you only get it for 4 months the rep that called us said for life the rep just spoken to it for 4 months scary how a company will manipulate info to get new customers onboard sad times we live in

I drove to a TELUS store to purchase a SIM card for my ******. I arrived at 11:55am - the store opens at 12:00 but I could see employees inside so I rang the doorbell. No one even looked at me. FINALLY at 11:58 one of the men let me inside, stating that they were not open until noon but he would let me in the store anyway. I stood and stared at 2 employees for the full 2 minutes (they were checking their watches the entire time) and then at the crack of noon I was asked what I was there for. The man was stone faced and not friendly at all! I told him I wanted to purchase a SIM card and he tried selling me everything but that. Finally he walked slowly to the back of the store, got a SIM card and rang it through for me. "That will be $20 plus GST." It is only $10 online so I said "never mind - I will order one online". This is why people don't like to shop at brick and mortar stores any more. You waste your gas driving there for poor attitudes, poor customer service and have to pay double the price.

Incredibly deceptive experience with Telus. Really need to be careful with them. I have been with Telus since early 2000s and haven't had a problem but it seems my last two renewals were not nearly as straight forward. My experience: - My contract was up as year ago and I figured I'd get a new phone. That required a new plan. Didn't really need either and in hindsight I should've left this all alone. The teaser plan I saw was a decent monthly cost on a new ******* *** and a $50/m plan. - I call the sales group and they tell me that the $50 plan for new activations would be matched by their client service group. - There was an offer through the online site that had a teaser product offering so they told me to go that route for signing up and then to call back to get the match. - I sign up and call back to get the match and supposedly it is no longer available to me. Obviously wasn't happy about that deceptive bit of info I got from the sales team - I decide to just proceed with the upgrade, which really isn't much of an update inhindsight - This is a corp plan and a business phone so I start using it. My wife spots long distance charges on the bill so I now find out that I lost my us long distance and texting - no one in their corp sales enlightened on that fact. So instead of being of value they made a false promise and did not inform me of an important feature I'd be losing. - so I call back today and am informed that the long distance feature is $15/m....awesome. - I ask to revert back to my previous plan, which was 5GB + 2GB bonus. - the rep makes the change and I notice the 2GB add on isn't showing. He says it is and then recommends that we 'disconnect our call'. He also failed to tell me I was going from 5G back to LTE. - so he tried to not provide the +2GB bonus, not inform me of the step down is speed and he tried to disconnect me after I have spend 2hrs on hold and on the line with them. It actually blew my mind how deceptive they were

Its ridiculous to think you need to clear your entire day's schedule just to contact customer service. 1:30 - 2 hour wait time minimum IF somebody decides to answer the call. no appreciation for the people keeping them in business.

I signed a cellphone contract with Telus last year and have had nothing but bad experiences thus far. I have been having issues with network connection from the day I received my phone. At first, I thought it was a temporary network issue, but sadly I was wrong. I frequently have problems making calls, experiencing bad reception and dropped calls. I am not the only person experiencing these issues with network connectivity, as 4 of my other family members signed up with Telus around the same time as me and are all having the same experience . I can never have a complete conversation with anyone without the call getting dropped. I even have issues with network connectivity when I am running errands, which is alarming to me because this is when I need to be connected the most, in case of any emergency.
I called Telus today and spoke to a Manager to cancel my contract for the above reasons and asked them whether they could offer any kind of relief because the reason for my cancellation is due to the problems I have with their connection. Unfortunately I received no sympathy with my circumstance which leads me to believe Telus really does not care about their customers. It seems like they just want to make money, despite providing a sub-par service. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************. I was with **** prior to switching to Telus and never had a network or connection issues.
