Prompt reply to initial inquiry through website portal. Technician, **** *. from Appliance Repair Expert -****** ********. confirmed appt right away and came the following morning to diagnose. Wife was home and said she’s never met someone with less manners than the tech and that he was very rude and abrasive. Rang doorbell and knocked excessively. Kicked a package on the doorstep out of his way. Looked at the scope of the job. Told her the price to replace the igniter is $320 and labour is $280 for our gas oven. So 600$.(tax included). Already invested as they charge a $99 diagnosis, so told him to proceed. Then after 5 minute job, told to pay **** now, no immediate invoice to give and total was now $678. My washer broke about a month ago, I called appliance repair experts and they were willing to come out to take the job immediately, I declined the first time and call back about a week later unable to find assistance and needing my washer as I am a nurse, Sean came by and quoted me approximately 840 for the valve and the seal repair , the next day it was leaking again and I told Sean the technician who said he would come back out to assist me the leak was now leaking worse after his assessment and leaking the blue detergent , he quoted me 180 for a pipe for under the machine. I asked him to purchase it as I had already paid the 840 and I was not about to waste my money and the machine was still broken. He showed up at my house this morning at 730am knocking and ringing the doorbell to install it when we had not agreed upon a time for today although we had agreed it would be today very poor service , when I notified him I was busy he said he had plans to fix it earlier . **** ** ** ************** I got off late on shift and have an extreme headache and was given no notice of time either. I told him right now was a bad time and that I would not be letting anyone in at that time, he gave me the item that needed to be put in to fix the machine and left saying to send the money for the part of 180. The machines broken still 840 spent another 180 requested and machine cannot wash my clothes. Hi there,
We have had a lot of trouble with our refrigerator and needed to call for service.
We called Appliance Repair Expert on September 13th and booked an appointment for the 17th of September. We were then notified on September 14th that they could not make it on the 17th and would be out on the 18th.
When the service person came he diagnosed the problem with the defrost sensor ( a common problem for this ******* *** Fridge - a further complaint will come as to that problem). He said he would order the part and contact us when it arrived. (He estimated a week). We called him at the end of September and he was out on October 2/2022 to replace the defrost sensor. We paid a total of $335.
We noticed that the fridge was not cooling as it should and on November 18/22 saw that it was frosted over.
We made a call to Appliance Repair Expert on the 19th of November, the agent said that our technician would return our call. He did not. We called again on the 20th of November and left a manager a message. The manager returned my call and said the technician would call me.
The technician called a couple of hours later and said that we would have to pay for the labor and new defrost sensor.
I called the manager again as this does not seem right, the part was installed on Oct 2/22, and by Nov 18/22 is frosted over (which means it failed prior to the 18 and had time to frost over).
I left a message for the manager on the 20th so we could discuss it. My call was never returned. Needless to say, I am convinced that they can correctly repair it as it only lasted 5 weeks and they are not willing to stand by their service.Initial Complaint

Appliance Repair Experts have charged us over $1000 in dishwasher repairs over the past year (most recently $700 in September). They have not fixed the issues and are refusing to return our calls. The bisiness address on the invoice is....

Nov 10 they sent a technician out to work on my upright freezer. Changed out a part, my husband paid. By the next day, it was clear the issue was not resolved as the freezer was still not freezing. Because the fan just kept on running, it also burnt out.
I called the 24 hour customer service, but no answer. Since it was the next day (Nov 11, stat holiday) I waited until Saturday. I did talk to someone in the call center and he passed me through to the technician's voice mail. I left a message.
Monday (Nov 14) I called the call center again. They said the technician had been fired, so they had to reassign my job. Someone would call me. I asked that a manger call me since I wanted to discuss the payment; I did not want to be charged. They said a manger would call me. They did not give a time frame at all.
I called Tuesday Nov 15. They said they would get a technician to get back to me; so a bit of a different story since I thought they had to reassign me? No mention of that. They said again they would pass my information onto a manger and now they gave me a time frame: 72 hours. So I waited. No call Friday afternoon.
I called today (Nov 21) and they now tell me I have to email the manager. Again, they would get back to me in 72 hours. I have little faith that will happen.
No attempt whatsoever to provide me with any information or help/recourse. I don't want them to do any more work, I just want my money back.Initial Complaint

October 17, 2022 I paid 680.00 to Appliance Repair Experts for an ** range repair. The 2 elements on the left side were not working. I paid 680.00 for 2 new elements to be installed which the technician diagnosed as the problem. The elements did not repair my stove, nor the control panel that the technician tried on another visit. At this point, after several emails to the manager and texts to the technician I still do not have a working stove and I'm out 680.00. The technician took the elements and control panel to return for credit. I was expecting the technician to return with another control panel as he promised October 26th, or to refund my 680.00 to my credit card. I have sent 5 emails to the manager and called many times, with no response. I have texted the technician directly many times and he too is very negligent in responding. The technician when he finally responds, promises to return with another control panel to repair my stove. He has not returned, and I still do not have a working stove. Since October 17th, I am out of pocket 680.00 for a repair and parts that did not fix the issue with my stove, and I have been unable to get any response or resolution from the manager. I am frustrated and believe I have been cheated. ** ** ** ******* **** * ** * ****** ** *****.
I advised I would proceed with complaints to the **** ********* *** ****** ******** and even that did not prompt a response from the manager. I have asked repeatedly for a refund of my 680.00 paid. I have lost all faith and confidence in this company, the manager and the technician. My initial appointment with Appliance Repair Expert was scheduled for August 2nd - to have my dishwasher, diagnosed for repair.
The technician said that I needed to order a "Pump Assembly" part and then to call the technician back and he would install it.
-This invoice was paid in full.
I received the part about a month+ later and called the technician to come back. After finally getting him to respond, he set up a secondary appointment to come back and swap out the parts on Sept 29th.
The dishwasher seemed to be in working order and the invoice was again paid in full.
The following week there was an issue with my dishwasher. I called, texted and reached out the the technician who said he would call me back but never did. Since then I have called, emailed, spoken to the manager and the dispatcher to have the technician reach back out to me but with no such luck. The manager has not replied to any of my emails, responded to my voice messages or anything.
There is a 1-month warranty on their work, but because they are not responding, I am running out of time to have this covered up. I have spent the last 2 week trying to get a hold of someone, including reaching out to their head office, but no such luck. Everything goes to voice mail. The specific technician was - ****** ***** (*** **** ******** ********)
Here is my last resort to get some sort of resolution, as I am now out almost $500 and still having an issue with my dishwasher.
At this point I do not want to use this company to do the repair any longer as they have proven to be unreliable. I would like my money refunded and I will be sourcing another dishwasher technician that is competent to resolve this matter.Initial Complaint

Booked a service call to repair electric dryer. Gave model, serial number, make and issue of dryer. Needed a new drum belt and possibly new wheel rollers. Specifically asked if tech would have generic parts to do the repair and was told yes. Was told technician would diagnose and repair if I agreed to repair cost.
Technician arrived to my home, no service vehicle with possible parts. Small tool kit only. He removed top lid of dryer, we could both see drum belt was gone. He put lid back down and said it would take 3 weeks+ to order parts. I asked was he not equipped with generic parts to do repair. I wanted it repaired. Was willing to pay cost of repair.
I cannot wait that long to have dryer repaired. He then said I had to pay diagnostic fee of $89. This is less than 5 minutes into him stepping into my home. Not sure what parts he was going to order as he did not diagnose appliance other than glance at the top of it.
I refused to pay as he did not provide the service I had requested.

Called company to have our dishwasher looked at. Determined it was a pump issue so we put a $200 deposit down to get it ordered and then installed when it came in. Was told it would be around a week and we would get a call when it was in to set up an appointment. After a week we called the company as we did not hear anything. Got a response of "the tech will call you". Waited another couple days without response so we called the company again. Same response of the tech will call. Tech finally called and said the pump was in and we set a time for install. Tech never showed or called on the appointment date. We called the company yet again and also emailed. We were told the manager would call us. Never recieved a call back and now it has been over a month.
