We paid Appliance Repair Expert $550 for consultation, ordered parts and repair services related to our stove hood on December 2, 2022. The company promised to return to complete repairs once the parts arrived in 4 weeks.
I emailed the company using the address on the invoice to follow up on January 4, 2023 and January 16, 2023. None of my emails were answered.
I managed to reach a manager at the company on January 16, 2023 and was dismissively told that the repair person assigned to me will call. They never did. Every call I’ve made to this company has not been answered since.
I emailed the manager on Jan 18, 19 and 20, 2023 and got no reply. There was no way to attempt reach a representative of the company or the manager except by email.
On January 19 I managed to reach a company representative and the repair person assigned to my job. That was only when I used my spouse’s phone and threatened negative reviews. I was promised a status update on Friday and never got one.

Paid 271.20 on Dec 14 2022 to have a washing machine installed. Installer installed without removing shipping bolts causing violent shaking and movement and potential damage to machine and voiding of warranty. Installer admitted he had not removed bolts, said would return to do this and did not. Emails to company bounce back. They don’t answer phone. I called this company on Jan 2, 2023 as my tenants advised that the washing machine wasn’t working (spinning and clothes left soaking wet). I booked them as I could get them in as soon as that same day but based on my tenants schedule went with the following day.
The tech called me when there, said that it could be a part that needs replacing or the control panel. We decided to continue with completing the repair with the part to see if that was the issue. He told my tenant he will be back in 2-3 days. Neither of us have heard back from them. I have called several times, emailed several times and left a ******** message and have gotten no where.
The phone calls just ring and then go to a busy time.
I would like them to refund the money for the service call as I can’t wait for a possible maybe they will show. I need this repaired for my tenants as it is not fair to them and it’s my job as a landlord to make sure the appliances are workingInitial Complaint

Came out on Jan3 to repair/service Fridge due to a water leak. We had determined the leak was from either ice maker or dispenser. Needed to order a hose and would call back the next day for followup apptmnt. I have called repeatedly to both technical cell phone and Company line. I have been told they will call the next day and NOTHING. I would like the repair completed (as the service call fee would go towards the repair.) My cold water is now turned off to kitchen sink to prevent further leaks/floods .
Would like this repaired or money returned so I can get someone else out to fix this.Initial Complaint

A tech was in my home on November the 11th - 2022 and promised to repair my oven before the Christmas Holidays , I was billed for a deposit of 251.09 and they took 480.00 from my ****, I can provide proof of this.
The tech called many times booking a time to come to the house but never showed up, I have send many emails and called many times with no resolution, actually my emails were never responded to. Today it has been 2 months and I have no working oven and am out 480.00 - they have committed fraud taking more from my account that was agreed to - I want my full deposit returned to me at the very least - there is no price to the stress I have endured and not to have a working oven during the Holidays and now being ignored - and not being given my monies back. I was completely ******* by this company :( I paid $692 for an unsuccessful washing machine repair. They will not return messages or emails. The times I have called when they actually pick up the phone, I am told a tech will be re-sent but I have yet to see one, and it has been in excess of 6 weeks. Details are below (shortened version). Please help. Beside sthe money, I feel awful that I was taken for such a ride, and do not wish for anyone else to deal with the same.
To start, the tech assigned to me was very inexperienced. He came to my condo to diagnose, came back again with a part that he said didn't solve the problem, and then came back a third time with a more expensive part - a control board, which was almost $400 with tax. He installed it and the machine still didn't work. I explained to him (as I had multiple times before) that I wasn't especially confident in a control board solving the problem, as the machine stopped working in the middle of a very heavy load...it was more likely an issue related to the motor or belt. He said he would "try something else" and continued to work on the machine. About 20 minutes later, the washer was going again. My assumption is that he fixed it without need for the new control board; however he said no - the board solved the issue, and to please pay my balance of $462. Hesitant, but I paid him. Then, as he was leaving, he picked up the box that supposedly contained my old defective part to take with him. I said I would like to keep it. He responded that he had to take it with him, it could not be left with me (which obviously makes no sense). We continued to have this exchange - he REALLY did not want to leave without the old part. When I finally asked him why he wanted it so much, he answered that he was going to take it home, fix it and keep it for future use. I was floored. Besides the fact that he was trying to leave with (and benefit from) my part/property, why did he not just fix it in the first place instead of charge me for a new one?? Alternatively, given the fact that I find it unlikely such an inexperienced tech could fix something as complicated as a control board, I feel it's highly possible that he ultimately got the machine going again by a means other than the new board he installed, and that he wanted to keep my old part because he knew it was perfectly good. Either way, it was very unsettling and I called the company to complain. I spoke with the manager who said to send a picture and he would get back to me. I never heard from him. A few loads of laundry later, my machine stopped working again. I have since emailed and called the company many (many) times, but to no avail. They don't return my messages or even pick up the phone when I call. Interestingly enough, I have gotten though a few times by phoning from a different number than the one I initially/usually call from. I've been told the manager is looking into it, that the tech is going to call me, that I need to email again...all kinds of things, but no one has contacted me, refunded me or come back to fix anything. On January 9th I had a repair man come to inspect my ** refrigerator as it was making a very loud and high pitched squeal. The repairman was very polite and informative. I thought he was great. I was billed $159 for the diagnostic. He also let me know under ** I had warranty for the faulty part making the noise.
However when he left my ice and water dispenser no longer functions. This was working 100% before he tinkered in my refrigerator. When I called the company they told me they would again bill me for this new service. I tried to explain that this was not broken prior but I was brushed off with a promise of a return phone call from the technician. I have called additional times and I believe they are screening my phone calls. Finally after a few tries I informed the person on the end the situation and was again promised a phone call that never happened. My refrigerator is still not functioning due to this visit. *Refrigerator stopped working so called Appliance Repair Experts and set up same day appointment.
*Technician came and “diagnosed” problem, offered to get part and come back for repair.
*Took 50% of repair cost.
*Returned 2 days later (Jan. 4, 2023) to complete repair.
*Claimed problem was fixed and refrigerator was now blowing cold air.
*Technician collected remaining 50% of $350 repair and left.
*Following morning, fridge was still sitting at room temperature.
*Called technician who told is it must be a gas problem and would have the gas technician contact us ASAP.
*Two hours later, company rep called to set up appointment for the gas technician in two days from then (Jan. 6.).
*I explained to him that we would not be moving forward with further repairs and wanted a refund. I believe the problem was misdiagnosed and was not willing to give more money when the initial part replacement solved nothing.
*I was told the process was to call the office to seek a refund.
* The office has now been called multiple times for three days with zero response.
*Technician told me that once the refund was approved, he would return to take the part back. Makes me suspicious they are installing used parts.
*Regardless, have heard nothing now from either the technician or the company for 3 days. Fridge remains useless and we are out $350.Initial Complaint

*** ********** *** *************** **** *** ***********. He became agitated when I asked him questions. When I I asked him if the total he quoted me was the actual total — he replied: “Here in Canada we pay taxes.” He made ne feel like other and I felt threatened in my home because he was agitated and argued with me. To make matters worse, the manager pretended not to be the manager and hung up the phone.

On December 11th, I reached out to Appliance Repair Expert (applianerepaiexpert.ca) because my washing machine leaked. They sent a technician to me back in July (I paid 440 dollars), and he fixed it so I wanted to use their services again. We chose Monday December 12th evening after I'm done work for a technician's visit. About an hour later I called them back because one of my friends told me he would fix it for free. No one picked up the phone so I chose an option 1 for the manager ****** ***** and left him a voice mail letting him know about my decision saying that I may call tomorrow or the day after if I still need them. The next day about 5 pm I got a call from someone saying that they were the technician I booked and they were on the way. I said that I cancelled the call yesterday and they must have not told him. He said ok no problem. Yesterday on December 22 to my great shock I received an email from a credit bureau giving me 7 days to pay the bill. I spent hours trying to reach the company. I sent an email the manager and left a message with him team to call me. still no results. I need your help! Please!
