      Approached company via telephone to make call to home address to investigate then repair ***** dishwater, which was leaking water on the floor. Repair tech ****** ***** attended at my residence on Thursday, 15 June 2023, performed a cursory inspection of the dishwasher and informed me that the water leakage was due to a leaking drain hose. Mr.***** informed me that the total cost of the repair would be $538.29 or which, I was expected to pay $269.85 up front. I paid this amount via E-transfer to Appliance Repair Experts Corp. After informing me that he would order a new drain hose then contact me to arrange follow-up visit to make the repair he departed my residence. Shortly after the departure of Mr, *****. I became uneasy of both the inflated cost of the repair (an original ***** dishwasher drain hose costs @$37.00, and that I had to provide half of the total repair cost before any work was even performed (buyer beware!; I am a retired senior. I contacted Mr. ***** immediately and informed him that I would not be continuing with the repair. I then advised Appliance Repair Experts and informed them. The company rep (did not provide name when requested) was aggressive and threatened the involvement of a collections firm. I informed the company rep that I would pay the initial visitation fee, but that I wanted the remaining monies returned to me as a cancellation fee was not applicable as per cancellation policy on the company website.       Absolutely dreadful service! Their service guy showed up to address our faulty freezer. What was supposed to be a simple fix turned into a never-ending ordeal of ineptitude.

      Our freezer wasn't functioning properly, so we reached out for help. The service guy arrived completely unprepared, wasting a mind-boggling two hours of our time just to defrost the freezer.

      After defrosting the freezer, **** ******** professional had the audacity to declare that it was in perfect working order. It was far from it! In reality, his "fix" only exacerbated the problem, leaving us with a freezer that was in an even worse state than before. T

      My fridge stopped working so I called and set up an appointment. They said a sensor was gone and it was $200. When they billed me it came to $550 with labor (just over an hour)

      A couple of weeks later it stopped working. I contacted them and was repeatedly hung up on, transfered and ignored for many days. I wrote a ****** review and all of a sudden got a call. A few days later he came by and said the wires weren't installed right. He "fixed" it and left. No charge. A month later it started doing the same thing. It seems it works for a month after being defrosted. When I called back I was repeatedly hung up on before even speaking to anyone. I then spoke to a manager and he said the 30 day warranty was expired. I explained that the first time had been in the 30 days and it was still not fixed. He said that's not my problem and ended the call.

      . Our washing machine wasn't working the morning of May 20th. I phoned this company Appliance Repair Experts. They said the only way they could figure out what is wrong was to send some one and there would only be a charge if they check it out and we don't do the work with them if I do the work with them there will be no charge. 15 min after booking the appointment we opened the drain plug to get the standing water out for the appointment. That fixed the issue, machine works great. I called 1-866-477-2697 to cancel the appointment. Their line rings a machine answers then passes you to another ring that will eventually hang up. They finally call me back and I tell them the machine is fine and we cancel the appointment they never came to our house.

      a few days later May 22nd - I receive an invoice for $100.57. I reply to the invoice inquiring as to why I'm receiving anything and I call another 7 plus times with no response. finally get a call back the next day saying I have to email a separate account. Which I do. No Response. I followed up on both emails 2 more times regarding the invoice. I finally get a reply from the Management email I replied to from ****** ***** on Monday May 29th. Stating that the "appointment was cancelled" to which I followed up "the invoice was canceled too?" to which he replied "Yes" on Monday May 29th. On Wednesday May 31st I receive correspondence from ******** **** *** ****** a collection notice for the invoice. I have called and emailed both the company and ****** ***** who continually hang up and won't address the issue. They are ******** people and trying to force them into positions of paying. I would understand if I booked in advance and canceled the same day, but that is not what happened here.

      I scheduled a repair appointment with Appliance Repair Expert for my leaking washing machine on May 16, 2023, specifically requesting a same-day repair for a damaged drain hose. During the phone call, I made it clear that I didn't need a diagnosis appointment as I already knew the issue. The representative asked for the brand and model of my washing machine, then assured me that a technician would arrive with necessary parts, including a drain hose, for a same-day repair.

      However, when the technician arrived, he did not have the required drain hose and couldn't perform the repair as promised. I was informed that the part would need to be ordered, with an estimated wait time of 3-4 weeks.

      The technician then proceeded to charge me $411.38 for "Diagnose and Repair" and for ordering the drain hose, despite no diagnosis or repair being conducted. This charge included an $89 diagnosis fee that was completely unnecessary. To make matters worse, I later realized that the official drain hose part for my ******** washing machine only costs $6 + $25 shipping online and would take less time to arrive. Such a shame that Appliance Repair Expert tried to charge me $168 for ordering this part through them.

      When I requested a cancellation of the part order and a full refund, the company only refunded me $255.61, providing no explanation for the remaining $155.76 deducted from the refund. It was also extremely difficult to get hold of the manager ****** *****, who was in charge of processing the refund. At the time of writing this review, I still haven’t heard back regarding the remaining amount awaiting a refund.

      I'm extremely disappointed with Appliance Repair Expert's unfulfilled promises, lack of transparency, and unjust charges. The entire experience has been frustrating and unsatisfactory. I would like help from BBB to receive the remaining refund of $155.76 from Appliance Repair Expert.

      -April 20 - simply went online to search for a repair company for clothes dryer.
      - received a call within 5 minutes I could have someone come to check that day.
      - received a call in the next 15 min technician could come - which made us suspicious of the Quick response
      - when technician called I said no we are not interested as some reviews are not in your company’s favour
      - he hung up on me after trying to explain their company work
      - no technician arrived at my door and we had no business relationship with this company no contract no booked appointment no services
      - May 12 received an email from a credit company “******** **** * ******” which they have a file that we owe $125 to this appliance repair expert company.
      Again we have had no business relationship with this company and owe no money. In fact they owe us an apology.
      This is wrong and I refuse to be receiving such a kind of an email

      I called to schedule an appointment to get my washer looked at as it was not spinning. The technician **** came to look at it on May 2nd and told me my switch was on its last legs and would need to be replaced if it breaks again. We went to do laundry and it did not begin spinning so we called the tech back and he told us he would look for a replacement part but its coming from the states so it would be awhile he charged me $278 for the labour and service call. He came the next day with the part and installed it, which cost another $83. He showed me the washer fills and he put it on final spin skipping the other spin cycles to show it was spinning. When I went to do laundry again it still wouldn't spin anymore but would when you changed it manually to final spin which isnt the problem. Ive emailed the email address they provide you with 6 times and no response. The dispatcher person said just call the technician. I just want a refund because the problem was not fixed and i dont trust this company to fix the issue anymore and just want a refund.

      On October 3, 2022, I've reached out to Appliance Repair Expert for their service to repair my dishwasher. I was informed there would be a dispatch fee of $89 + HST if I wanted a technician to come look and provide a quote. After the technician has arrived and looked at the unit, I was provided with a quote of $320 in labour and an additional $426 deposit for parts to be ordered, while the dispatch fee would be waived if I decide to move forward with the job.

      I decided to go ahead with the job, so I paid a total of $842.98 after tax with the dispatch fee being waived. After months of following up, it wasn't until March 2, 2023, that they discovered the parts have been discontinued. This was strange as they initially told me they were able to put the order in.

      This is when I started to request for a refund. The business decided to only refund me $426, not including the taxes that I've paid on the parts. At the time, I believed there was a miscommunication, as I should be getting a full refund on the labour minus the dispatch fee, as no actual labour was performed as per contract agreement. I tried reaching out to the technician, emailing and calling the business to sort this out. However, they started ghosting me and refused to reply back to me. I even went to the office that they said they had on their website that serviced my area, in hoping to talk to someone in person. When I arrived, I only then discovered that they didn't even exist there.

      March 11 - scheduled a dishwasher repair with Appliance Repair Expert.

      March 14- technician came and did a reset on machine and thought that it fixed. The same day I texted him back to advise still not working. NO REPLY.

      March 15 -I texted again to ask ETA for repair or part info so we could do our own repair as per technician suggestion.

      March 16 - I was advised he was waiting for part info from Meile.

      March 22 & March 26 I texted again - NO REPLY to either.

      March 30. I phoned the company and was promised a call back that day or the following morning at the latest - NO PHONE CALL received.

      April 4 - I sent an email to the company requesting a refund - NO RESPONSE .
      April 6 - called the head office number and was promised a callback in 3-5 days. NO PHONE CALL received.

      April 14- called the head office number again ************** and was told no manager available.

      I have told them I want a refund of my payment $122.08
