    As a business owner I decided to try using them to get more work. I quickly realized that it was not worth the cost and asked to cancel the contract. I new there was a 2 month cost to cancel the contract and I agreed to it. I keep emailing my rep and calling him to get some kind of paperwork that it is cancelled but they keep billing me. ** *** *** * ******** ****** ** *** *** **** ********

    ********** *** *********** ***** ****** ** ****** Misleading and does not honour what it proclaims to provide to contractors made by their sales team. Our company had been with Homestars since 2021, and it's been a steady decline in quality leads and quantity. The sales team stated that we would receive 15 or more leads on average per month, and at the beginning, this was moderately true until 2022, when it started to decline, and in 2023, it was almost nonexistent; we only had three leads in a few months. Also, we were told us that they would only share a lead within five professional companies maximum, and this year we had customers very upset when we called and asked if Homestars was going to stop having pros call them, and one gentleman said we were the 12th company that had called him, and he felt he was being harassed. All in all, our company cancelled our membership due to clear policy changes without notifying its members or homeowners. Also, with the quality of leads going down, the return on investment is horrible; don't waste your money as the real professional projects are no longer on their platform, and now its all handyman projects or people looking for the cheapest rate instead of looking for a skilled, experienced contractor. Also, there are constant billing mistakes that I had to call and correct. For a service that you're paying over $550 a month minimum, this is the cheapest rate you can get, it has terrible service and lots of attitude from account managers. Account managers are also very hard to reach and take forever to get back to you. They also do not like responding to emails, as this creates a paper trail, which is probably why they only call even when I ask them to respond to the email.

    I own a construction company and registered with Homestars three years ago. A payment of almost $300.00 was withdrawn consistently every single month for the listing, which was dropped by the account manager several months ago. The listing was dead and had been generating zero leads for several months. Because the credit card information wasn't renewed, payments weren't being processed, but they had been for years. Our rating on Homestars had ALWAYS been 96% to 99%. When the payments stopped, it dropped to something like 70%. We found this to prove that Homestars does not publish ratings based on true reputation. When a new manager called us about the listing, they wanted to collect an unpaid $565.00. It made very little sense. So when I said I was willing to continue with them, they said we needed to sign up for a whole year's contract, and that we did not qualify for month to month: the month to month in fact only applies to businesses that have been registered for a year. Well, we had been consistently paying every month for almost 3 years. There was a hiatus for two months after CC info was not renewed. We did not renew the payments for very good reason. Zero management and zero activity from Homestars. Not leads, just taking the money nothing more. ***** *********** ** **** **** ** ********* ************* ** **** ********** *** **** * ****** ***** **** ***** **** ****** ** ** **** ** **** ***** *** ** *** ** **** *** with absolutely no customer support or any logic whatsoever. We have been a loyal customer for years, and yet they are refusing to let us back in on a month to month basis.     I arrived Canada 10 months ago and I am new to Homestars. Homestars is a brilliant site which help you to save time and effort finding good contractor. I got several proposals in few days and got job done as per agreed proposal.

    As a homeowner, I was pleasantly surprised to see positive reviews for verified kitchen contractor recommended on their site. The verification process seemed solid only to find that in reality their verification and referral program is misleading. *** ******* ******* had 97% trustscore **** **** * **** ******* **** * ****** * **** ********. My experience with them was horrible, completely unprofessional and NOTHING like the reviews.     Try making it allowed to right a review about you. You need to let companies the walk away from you to keep there rating i they stop paying you. Stop calling me to rejoin at a higher cost. Stop send bad leads. I was with you for 4 years. Went to some homes that client could not even afford food. Your due diligence on poor companies I will not new are your prize winning. Turns out pay more and you get a badge. Clients do NOT need your miss leading systems . They need to get what they pay for.

    I am extremely dissatisfied with their service. If I could leave a ****** review to have more social media presence, I would leave them 0 stars.
    Our customer service agent has only answered our calls once and said it’s because our emails go to junk. Then we started calling and he never answers.
    We pay for a service which there is none. And they want us to pay a 1500 dollar cancellation fee. Which also they throw in your face whenever you try to cancel. On top of that we are trying to cancel and no one answers the phone all of a sudden.

    The fee should only be allowed if they provided service, which they have not. Also we have had 0 referrals in 3 months with no help.
    I hope I reach as many people as possible and say please do not sign on with these people. Use other platforms to promote your service.

    Customer for 6 months so far. Have gotten 0 jobs or leads from them. Huge waste of time and money . Would give less starts if possible.

    If not for encouragement of Home Stars I would not have had to walk down such an emotionally devastating road with a notorious heinous customer and service offender ********* **** ********.
    Shame on You Home Stars - perhaps your should take a recoil at your referral trades and the fiasco *** landed in with their referral trades.
