    This website does not vet contractors. *** ***** **** ** ***** **********. **** ************ * ********** in Markham ON, approached us through this platform for our project has defrauded us of $11,000, plus caused gross damage to our condo, and we have been effectively homeless since February 16. We've informed Homestars on multiple occasions, provided ample evidence, but they continue to provide ********* a platform ** **** *** *******.

    When you decide not to pay and work with home stars they will place the most negative reviews on the top under your web page. So you will call them to change it with a cost. Poor way to get your attention. I have 12 positive reviews the 1 negative review. The negative review is always on top. I have paid for home stars advertising in the past you will get nothing out of it. ***** ** ****** Non stop phone calls. No jobs.

    They will tell you anything just to have you sign. I paid over $2000 and got only 1 lead in 3 months.
    The lead was not even for what I do!! When I called in, the rep told my if I cancel or simply don"t pay they will put me into collections AND deduct from my 5 star rating.

    I have been with homestars for about 6 months and have been trying to cancel my membership with them for months. Once you buy they are impossible to get ahold of. Extremely disappointed with this service *** ******** ********* *** ***** ********* *** **** *********

    I've had homestar's contact with me constantly telling me there's so much work and they need me back on their teamsince I have a 10 out of 10 review invite standing and they wanted me back with them I was using them in 2018 And I didn't make enough to even cover the repaymand he said that as soon as I make the payment that he would put me to work and I've made the payment and now they pulled money out twice a month and they won't cancel my contract contract and they don't send me any work They took money out on the 15th and on the 28th of February

Then they sent me a msg to buy reviews off them ?? to phone them on a ******** number and they will do 10/10.     **** *** ****** they promised leads and a specific category they changed my category and in 3 months 0 leads and now they want a cancelation fee when they breached the contract. I'm going to sue them for ********** *** breach of contract **** *** ******** **** *****

    I had correspondence with this company and they stated that they could get hundreds of leads for HVAC business. Made statements that are clearly untrue and led me down a false path for their own benefit and certainly not mine. This all occurred on Dec 16/22, I paid the initial month fee of 386.00 and was told I would be contacted by my sales rep for onboarding on Jan 5/23.
    In the time from Dec 16/22 and Jan 5/23 I received a job offer with a company of which I accepted. I immediately contacted my sales rep via email and stated that the onboarding was not necessary as the company is going to be closed. My sales rep Chelsea replied quite quickly by phone stating that she would take it to her team and get back to me. Chelsea then sent me an email stating that she needed the paperwork from the government that our HST account has been closed. I sent that to her the paper work proving that our HST account has been closed around Jan 10/23. Since this time I have emailed several times to not only Chelsea (sales rep) but our contact person (Benjamin) asking for some correspondence as to what are the next steps. The only correspondence I have received is that my payment for Jan 16/23 has been declined. I am disgusted how a company can mislead people in such a horrible way and really not **** * **** about how it affects them. All I want to do is cancel my agreement, my company does not even exist anymore and I didn't even proceed with the on boarding. You cant threaten people with collections etc. and not even respond to attempts at contacting and coming up with a mutual agreement. What a disgusting company, who would want to represent a company that doesn't back their products or promises. * **** ***** * * **** ******* **** ******* * **** ** ********* ** ***** ** **** *****
