I was quoted $1600 a year! 1.5 months later they increased it to $3500 a year! I cancelled and in the end I owed $650. 2 months of coverage costed me $800!!! I’ve had dozens of cars and insurance companies and never have I ever had to pay to cancel!! **** *** *****

******** ******* ******** I have done my daily banking with TD for almost 20 years, in addition to having 6 insurance policies, my primary mortgage, 2 lines of credit and my primary credit card.
They were unable to offer me the benefit of lifetime guarantee for an engine repair by using a TD approved garage because they were all "busy" within a 400km range (even though every other garage had next to 0 repairs on deck as it is slow season). They refused to offer an alternative benefit to this despite all my products to TD claiming the "system" doesn't let them.
Everyone knows that exceptions can be made, and I can only imagine the experience for smaller customers if they weren't budging with us. A real shady approach to "customer service"* ********** * **** *** ******* ***** *****

I was insured with TD insurance for one full year, they wanted to charge me over $3000 dollars for just liability on a clean history upon my renewal, so I shopped around and notified them a week and a couple days after the renewal that I am canceling their policy, they wanted to charge me almost $400 dollars to cancel and what ever their other fees were, I said absolutely not I will not be paying that, I will pay a prorated amount for the "days insured" and their fee which is astronomically high and they refused, they would not discuss options they just wanted my money now they are trying to ********* send collection agencies after me even though I tried to work with them and they refused every offer I made.
They have horrible customer service, they way over charge, and they pull ******* stunts when they don't get their way.

TD Insurance is not there for you when you need them. I got in to an unfortunate accident in Feb of 2023 and TD Insurance required me to fork out upfront money before I got the rental car. I called everywhere including their customer complaints office ****, but no one helped. A manager, Giulianna only returned my 4 voice mail messages 3 weeks after the fact. Vishal the property damages adjuster rubbed salt on my injuries when requesting for assistance

Td needs to change how they quote with their online quotes. The online quotes are completely misleading. They will quote u one low price and once u have signed up and paid and policy is activated and u r stuck with them, they change the quote to more than double the original estimate. Either your online system is completely garbage or purposely designed to lure customers into signing up just so you can charge them double later. I have tried getting estimates from many many online insurance retailers no one does this. If they can't gruntee a quote they don't sell it to you until an agent has looked into it. So please fix your system.

I was rear-ended at a stoplight on December 16th and had damage to my bumper and taillight. I immediately called my insurance and filed a police report. I was later told by my insurance adjuster that our car is a write-off. We wrote back and spoke to them many times over and over again that we want the money/value for the car period. We have made several calls and emails with no response. It is now almost 2 months and still nothing. I am paying monthly for a service that is non-existent and I feel ripped off. I am writing this review as a cautionary tale and an alert to the better business bureau. The communication is appalling and unacceptable for a paying customer.

******* ****** ** ****** TD Insurance is the worst company (for everything related to their brand). ** * ***** **** **** **** ***** * ****** Like many other reviews I've read we are in the same position. May 22nd wind storm, heavily damaged property - to the point where we could not be in the structure. We've lost our family cottage for an entire year and TD still sits without settlement. TD could care less about us and you. They are a terrible company with terrible people. They use their own contractors whom they favour to drive down the cost of rebuilds so they have to pay out less. Its absolutely disgusting *** *** **** ** **** ******* *******. To make the situation worse, the rebuild company they used to create the settlement wants nothing to do with the actual rebuild. Totally ridiculous. ** ********** * ****** *** **** **** *** **** **** **. We are changing everything related to TD brand, from banking to insurance. ** *** ** * *********** * **** *** **** ** *** ******* **** **** ** *** *****

I had an Insurance with TD and the vehicle return to the dealer, but the insurance deduction continues for 18 months after the has been return and I was outside Canada, and before leafing I contacted the insurance company to cancel the insurance and they refused because the vehicle was in finance, When I return I found that the policy was cancelled due to non-payments, actually the account run out of money and asked me to pay three month Insurance premium, and refused to repay the amount that was deducted. till know my premium was very high because of the nonpayment cancellations. and I do not drive the vehicle often as I am working from home and my kids' school is very close. I had paid $3,600 in Insurance for a vehicle that is no longer in my name, and my premium increase by 50 a month for the non payment, and now it is 5 years and still my premium is that high.

In June 2020 we sold a home in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and my daughter transferred her home insurance to rental insurance. We asked the house insurance to be dropped. However, over a period of approximately a year they continued to withdraw both premiums from her account. For the last year and a bit, we have been trying to get a refund for this amount. I have sent document after document that they have requested clearly showing that the home was sold, and the title transferred to someone else on June 19. TD continues to ask for more documents. I have spoken to and had the client service reps speak to the supervisors in charge at least 6 times and it was actually documented on the file I did not need to provide any more documents from land titles. However, after personally speaking to a supervisor who said she would get back to me by phone and would not give me her full name, just Karen, we were once again sent an email saying we needed to provide another document from land titles. This was their error, they failed to stop withdrawing premiums. I have spoken to land titles yet again, sent them one more document, that really says nothing more than the previous documents I have sent. How on earth is this customer service. I am not allowed to speak to the same person twice, supervisors will not provide their names or an employee number. they say they record for quality assurance and client satisfaction. Really, It has been months and I have not received one personal phone call or any satisfaction. this is not the front line customer service reps, they have been amazing. This is the supervisors and the system. Something needs to change.

I am absolutely blown away, I’ll start with this, I’m currently with ********** insurance but am trying to find cheaper insurance if possible. And I saw td say “most drivers save 20% or more” so I thought I’d give them a try. I’ve been riding for 6 years with no tickets or accidents no hits to my record whatsoever. I currently insure my motorcycle for something around $2800 annually. Well when I went to get my TD quote on the same bike I was blown away with a almost $17,000 annual quote. The bike is only worth $10,000 off the showroom floor. People are so concerned about riders and drivers with no insurance and this is exactly why it’s happening. If any TD representatives see this you should be ashamed of yourself. I can write off one bike a year and still have $6000 in my bank account. How is that anything but a money grab? And after going through similar reviews where they have ****** money from their own customers, people who have sent them payments by accident. Any TD insurance representatives, CEOs or higher management should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. It’s unbelievable.
