Pocket Health advertises free access to my medical records. I signed up only to find out that it's not free. Therefore, this service is of no value to me.

Official Advertisements posted in both French and English across Health Sciences North in ******* promise free access to you records. Not asterisks or fine print to be seen. I signed up to see my records only to find I can only access the records if I also have access to a medical viewer exclusive to healthcare practitioners. If I want to actually access my records in a file format that can be opened by patients I am required to pay a subscription fee. This is absolutely false advertising. Now I can’t figure out how to delete the account and revoke access to my records. **** **** *** *** **** ****** ************

I had a *** scan at **** and was told I could access my records through PocketHealth at no charge. I duly registered but when I try to view my records I keep getting messages that I need to upgrade to an unlimited PAID account. **** assures me I am definitely able to access my records at no cost but PocketHealth tells me otherwise!!
Definitely not what one is promised even from their website which says "free access" for a month.

I have used pocket health since its conception. Originally it was incredible. Results would generally be in within 3-5 business days inclusive of Images and report. I was so impressed.
Then things started going downhill, images would be posted but report wouldn't. I would call customer service and get told "we are having back end issues check in the next week", week would pass and still nothing... then I would be told "that specific hospital / clinic has issues uploading into our platform we cant give you an ETA". I am now waiting since April 15th for reports that were promised on April 24th.... its now May 29th and still nothing.
I found the reports so useful in keeping me informed and engaged with my medical issues but now I am flying blind. I reduced my subscription to flex thinking if they wanted my money they need to tender the service. However, they tender the service of only putting the images which means zero to someone who isnt a doctor. It's BEYOND frustrating that I am paying for services that are not being properly and fully rendered. ** **** ********* ** *** ********* ** **** ***** **** **** *** *** ***** ** ******* ********* *** ******* **** **** ***** **** ***** ******* ** ***** * ** **** * **** ****** *** ******** **** **** ***** ********

***** ***** I paid for a years subscription, and haven't received any records from facilities that are on their list, for almost a year.
When you call to ask why, there's never a good solid reason, and then told to call back in 5 days if you still haven't received anything.

Customer service (AI, I'm assuming, considering how utterly stunned they are when answering my emails) is non-existent, and I keep being redirected to the upgraded (annual) plan instead of the option I want. * ****** ***** ***** ** ****** ** ****** ** **** **** **** ******* ** ** **** *** ******* ******* - we have no family doctor and NEED to keep our medical records up to date. I have subscribed to this service for about a year while undergoing medical treatment and it has been useful to be able to view medical imaging myself and read and receive reports. Fortunately, my local health network is connected to Pocket Health so once I subscribed I automatically received the data.
However, the service if difficult to use, especially for those not computer savvy. For one example, the email associated with my account is a forwarding email hosted on a personal website. Since I cannot generate an email from that site I cannot get help without calling. They will not even answer general questions unless the email originates from a subscriber email. This is the message they respond with regardless of the question asked "Due to privacy and security concerns we are unable to discuss account related inquiries with emails not registered to an active PocketHealth account. If you have used a different email address to create the account, please be sure to email us from that address and then we will be happy to answer your questions". They answer this way even when it is not an account related inquiry. I also do not see how answering technical questions with respect to how to use the system poses a security concern when communication with the account email address is not working.
I have not been able to retrieve records from new health service providers because I no longer receive the identity verification emails. I only receive the emails saying the request is cancelled because I did not verify my identity on time. For a service of this nature, when it is impossible to get help by email, in my opinion it is unacceptable to only offer technical assistance by phone M-F, 9-5. I would encourage Pocket Health to make technical assistance much more accessible to subscribers.
I am optimistic they will respond to my inquiries and help me by phone. But after I get my last set of records I plan to unsubscribe.

This is simply the worst experience I have ever had trying to access medical records. The amount of time that I have spent calling, emailing, deleting accounts, renewing accounts, proving that I paid, met with glitch after glitch still can’t access my records, and then today I had an employee outright lie to me and tell me that the transcript from my latest CAT scan has not been dictated or completed yet and I know for a fact that it has as I spoke to the doctor about it And he gave me information from It, not to mention I spoke to Records at the hospital, who was looking at it online, telling me that I should have it available to me days ago. I am very upset *** **** ***** ******* **** *** ******** ** ********** ***** ******** ***** **** *** **** * ****** ******* ************ ********* ******** *** *** **** *** **** ******** **** **** **** *** **** ******** ***** ** *********** *** * *** **** *********** *** ** ******* ********* *** ******* **** *** *** ******** **** ****** ****** ****
