We receive a letter in the mail, informing us of a parking infraction at Pearson International airport.
We contact them because 1) we had been very careful to use the special lot for cell phone calls, and then only go to the terminal to pick up someone after being contacted. and 2) We had received no ticket or any other indication after leaving the airport that we had in fact "done anything wrong".
When we call, we are told that there is a VERY CLEAR photo of our infraction. He's so insistant, despite the time (we weren't even there at that time) and the location he's claiming we are in are BOTH wrong... but, respectfully, errors could have been made, people make mistakes, SO we go to look it up,
At first we can't see any photos. But we manage to get the single image broken up on 2 screens and low and behold, ...
There is a very blurry photo of my car, ( I mean, it's a close up, of the car, likely at the airport, but, in no way does this mean anything is out of the ordinary) and they have forensic files style pulled an image of my license plate. SO, what they have is an image of my license plate.
In the photo you can make out that the break lights are on, and you can't tell where the car is in any way inside the terminal. However in the distance to what would be the right, there is the "taxi lane", so, we're not in it.
Now, if you've been to terminal 1 to pick up someone, you're likely going to push through traffic- so, your break lights will be on quite a bit as you wait patiently to get to the point of pick up.
So we call back. 5x. During work hours. (I just called 3 times right now, it's 11:30 am), and we get coddled back to a collection agency to leave a phone number, but no answer.

As per the Notice of Trespassing #0676412, I have been accused of trespassing on January 18th, 2023, at 7:15pm, which is $85 penalty or $107.60 if paid after due date, February 16, 2023 for being parked or stopped in a prohibited manner along the roadway leading to and from Toronto Person. This Notice is inaccurate and inadequately accusing me . As this was in the designated pickup area, as appropriate, I was picking up a guest who was already at the airport in the pickup area over 10 minutes before my arrival. I simply went to pick them up quickly and made my way. The picture, as it is shown, the brake lights are on as I am slowing down to pull into the pickup lane to pick up my guest who is waiting for me to stop. The place where I stopped to pick up my guest had no parking, stop or any kind of sign. I didn't leave my car, I immediately picked up my guest and left. If I knew the place was a no waiting zone, I wouldn't have stopped to pick up my guest there. I feel this is unjust and I appreciate any kind of help. I would appreciate if you can please kindly defer this ticket. I'll make sure this doesn't happen again.

I received a notice by indigo park for $85 for parking in a wrong place. My notice number is *******. I went to pick up my brother that day at Pearson international Airport and stopped for a minute or two to talk to him and he told me he was still missing 2 pieces of luggage. I'm really confused as to why I received this since there was a notice there saying cell phone waiting area and a bunch of other cars were stopped there as well. I have never been issued a ticket in my life as i never stop in wrong places and always follow the law. I am very sad to receive this ticket as i don't even know that I was standing at the wrong place *** * ** * **** ** **** *** *** ** **** ** **** **** *** ** ** *** **** ****** * After calling them 3 times, they said they will lower the ticket to $65. That's still too much money for me to pay for something I didn't even know was wrong.

I’ve been waiting for a response on an appeal from this company after multiple emails and messages with no response in over three weeks. Very unprofessional and frustrating.
