5 stars******** was very professional and quickly fixed the problem with two sliding windows which were slightly misaligned. He was also able to fix a slight issue with weatherstripping on one door. Excellent service and great quality products.Verdun Windows and Doors

5 stars**** and ****** did a great job of putting in our windows. The quailty of the windows is great and the installers were friendly, professional and knew what they were doing. They worked very fast which was good since it was a hot day. They cleaned up any mess made during the installation. The delivery timeline for the windows is long but we knew that when we ordered them last year. They installed a door earlier in the year and it went well and the door is top quality. 1 starOrder: October 14, 2020 - Installation: May 03, 2021 Below is a summary of all the problems with Verdun, and after more than 2 years still not solved. A tech came regarding certain windows, which are difficult to open, he tells us that once a month we have to put lubricant on the rubber of the window. Unacceptable that this is required for new windows, to be told later, it needed an adjustment. Tech came because a cracked window. Tech take the measurements, and send it to production with a rush status. While this visit, he mentions that the screen we have are not the right ones and are only temporary (which no one told us). Tech comes back with new screens, and the window to be changed. During this visit, we shared our concern about the window in the basement which seem too small. Indeed, he confirms, so he takes measurements and sends everything for production. Tech comes back to install the new windows for the basement. Results still too small. He takes measurements, and returns the order again with a rush status. Tech comes back with new windows, and again the windows are too small. Tech comes back with new windows, and finally the windows are good. I note to the tech that the windows of the living room basement are too small. The tech checks and indeed the windows are too small. He takes measurement, and sends a rush order. Tech comes back, but he realizes that the problem is not with the windows, but with the installation. The window frame is lower in the top middle part. So he leaves the windows and requests an installer come back to remove the window frame and reinstall it again. Tech came and still the panels are not the right ones, and this tech, the last sliding windows that the last tech left, are on the same side so still missing a window Then during his inspection, not only is the window middle top part is lower, but it has a crack in the corners, so a tech must come back to repair the installation!Review fromSarah L

5 starsGreat business for Window and Door work. Their products are first class, sales people are knowledgeable and willing to listen to what we want. The installation crews are amazing. Fast, efficient, thorough and respectful of our home.Unfortunately production delays are far from unusual these days but the company was upfront with us about it and the expected wait time was just about dead on.We have dealt with Verdun a few times now and will do so again if/when we need any further upgrades. It seems that many of my neighbours agree as their work trucks are a very common sight in and around where we live.Verdun Windows and Doors

1 starDONT SIGN ANYTHING ************ makes you feel very unimportant. They are so busy that they cannot install one window 38 weeks after ordering and paying the deposit. I contacted another company and got a better price for 8 windows and a door. These were installed 4 weeks later and the installation was very professionally done. 1 starWhere do I start with this one. We ordered our windows over a year ago and we still do not have all our windows. They sent a junior crew of two to do the install and it has been a nightmare ever since. Firstly they showed up a year later without all our windows. They proceeded to commence the removal of the windows and cut through our security system wires and now we have to pay to have the system upgraded. Further more, our alarm system no longer works because we can't have the system updated until they finish with the window installation. All our windows are sticking and hard to open and close. They sent a repair guy in to fix the seal on one of the windows and now they have to change all the sashes again which we were told it may take longer than 2 weeks before we can get new ones. We are most likely looking at probably a month or more. Also the measurements were taken wrong and our blinds do not fit anymore and we have to purchase new blinds on top of everything else. These extra costs should not be coming out of our pockets due to Verdun's mistakes. They made sure to cash our cheque the same day but haven't completed the job. They are saying the way to fix our windows from sticking is to spray jig-a-loo around the seals. This only helps for a certain period of time as the spray dries out quickly and they do not supply you with the spray so this is another cost for the customer. **********************'s workmanship and customer service has gone down hill very quickly. Your response to our review has prompted ** to forward an e-mail to Verdun Windows and Doors ("Verdun") this morning outlining all e-mail contact, dates, times and understanding of our contract with Verdun. With respect to your comment about the windows being manufactured to fit the structural opening of the home, we understand that is the standard process. Your sales representative advised us that we could keep our current ********** shutters if the windows were fabricated with jamb on site installs. We paid additional costs to Verdun for this process and to have the jambs installed on site. Your service managers and inspectors agreed that the work was not done properly. Before responding to a review, I would highly recommend that you communicate internally amongst each other; take onus that you failed to satisfy your customers' needs and wants and learn from these errors to better improve your service. With respect to the security system, we capped the wiring prior to installation as suggested by our seurity company. Your installers just needed to tuck it in but instead cut the wires. As of today, we are still missing a window and the seals on 6 windows have to be replaced. It seems the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. We have been more than patient but need this resolved as soon as possible to ensure our home is properly secured.
