Have worn and gifted ******* slippers for years, always pleased with my order, but have to admit I was confused when ordering on Garneau site and started getting messages from Moccasin Canada and Brown Bear. All is well that ends well ********

Horrible experience. For someone whos living off of below poverty this is the kind of company that disgusts me. Not only do they charge the customer for shipping on an item that cost over $100.00 they then make you just through hoops to get a fraction of what you paid. This is how the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor. Shame on you!! Its ppl like this that disgust me!The Brown Bear

*****,First we'd like to address the shipping charges:We offer free shipping on orders $100+. Your order was for an item that sells for $86.95 and you then received a coupon for an additional $13 off of that making your order well below the free shipping threshold. You paid $15.95 for shipping which then cost us $23. As per our return policy, customer is responsible for return shipping. If you choose a refund, the only portion that does not get reimbursed is the original shipping paid (if applicable) as those monies have already been paid out to the courier. The transaction fees that do not get refunded to the retailer are another expense we swallow. There is no greed here. Returned merchandise are a mere expense. We are a small family business that has been purchasing and supporting ***************************** as well as two other Canadian and / or Indigenous manufacturers for approximately 50 years now. The error in the description on that pair of moccasins was a human error; it appears that we simply copied their text and included it in the description for the moccasins. The supplier of the pair this customer referenced is ********************** and so we did not purchase these from China ourselves. 99% of our items are Canadian made; however the pair ordered and are referring to in this review is not a Canadian made product. We have offered to take back the pair purchased and and for them to choose a different style or a full refund.Review fromDaniel A

We feel that this review was made hastily.
Normally, once an order is placed, it cannot be cancelled, especially when you order during a busy sale event. We succesfully pulled your order from the massive pile, and did not ship.
It took a couple of days to issue the refund because refunds are only issued on Thursdays.
We do not feel that you received poor customer service, but you are entitled to your opinion.
