1 starManufacturer sent a replacement order for my washer under warranty. Only had just over a year, warranty company did honor my warranty. The problem is Teppermans, in all departments employees are completely incapable of doing the job the they are hired for. So 8 months later they are still trying to make me pay for my washer twice over, and they received the credit. So what is going on here? Someone keeping product replacement intended for customers, hoping they don't notice, and never apply it to your account. Tell me I owe almost 1400 on my replacement washer, when I only owe 300 and something. For new taxes and warranty on my replacement washer from Teppermans so they know exactly what's happened and on file. Ongoing customer for 29 years, always in good standings, pay one, buy one, is how my account is always open and current. Unbelievable and something has changed here because this is not the company it once was.Review fromRyan W

1 starTeppermans have terrible customer serice. We purchased a couch and were upsold on an extended warranty. We had an issue with the electrical parts on both sides. We opened a warranty ticket. When speaking to the warranty company, ******, they agreed it was covered, sent a technician to our home who said ****** would order parts. They sent an email a few days later confirming. A month later, they emailed us saying they decided it wasn't covered after all. We pushed back on this & they again changed their minds & said it was covered and parts would be ordered. That was April 2023. We still hadn't received any word from ****** in August so we contacted Teppermans who have sent a number of emails saying parts are on order.
At this point (November 22, 2023), I contacted Teppermans asking to speak to a manager as this is far too long of a wait time. One of their "customer care reps" got in touch saying I'd have to follow up with ****** as it's out of their hands. I wanted to speak about this situation with Teppermans directly as they are the company that sold me the warranty product and do have some responsibility in ensuring that their customers are being treated fairly by their partners.
I had to ask the customer care rep three times to have a manager contact me to which they become highly unprofessional and said the manager would just tell me the same thing & that "they've told me that three times". This is unacceptable. A manager did phone me, however, I was unavailable when they called. In their voice mail they stated that they had followed up with ****** & the parts were scheduled for delivery on December 14. Why did it take three times for me to request a manager to phone me? This is their job and it's unacceptable for the customer care rep to be so petty as to say that they provided information to me three times. That is not the point.
A terrible company with terrible customer service.Review fromAngela T

1 starBought our Frigidaire fridge 2years ago and purchased the ext warranty. The freezer stopped working on a Friday so I called Teppermans that day and was directed to call their warranty dept. The warranty dept. started a claim and said it would be 2-3 business days to get a response from an adjudicator. 2 days passed and no response. I called the warranty company and they assured me they were expediting the claim and that I would get a response in 24 hours. Still no response, I called back again and was told they would again expedite the claim and I would hear back in 1-2 days. On the 6th day I finally received a service appt that was scheduled 10 days away. I called the service company and was advised that was the soonest they could come and that they would put me on a cancellation list. We went to the Teppermans to try and speak to the customer service manager and was put on the phone with customer care who advised that she would call the warranty company to try and get us a sooner appointment. freezer is still not working and now the fridge is making a hissing sound and you can feel warm air being released into the fridge from a vent inside as it is overheating from constantly running to try and keep the freezer cold. She called back and we were advised that we were put on a cancellation list but that she couldn’t get our appointment moved up sooner. We were offered a loaner fridge but they could not
Deliver it until 5 days after our service date -how useless!!! We were told if we could arrange to pick it up we could have it immediately. I now have to find a truck to get a loaner fridge to my house because they cannot get someone to service the fridge in a timely manner. My electricity bill is going to be higher as the fridge constantly runs and we have the potential of the fridge catching on fire if it overheats but no one at Teppermans seems to care. I should not have to beg to get my freezer fixed (an essential
Appliance). Garbage service!Review fromJohn D

1 starWe bought a washer from Tepperman’s 2 years ago. First time we had a problem we called Tepperman’s and they told us to call a second party but my washer broke on a Saturday so I had to wait till Monday to call the second party warranty because they don’t work on the weekends. When I called the warranty company I was on the phone for over an hour just to get a hold of them. Then they said that I have to wait 3 days to see if I get approved to get it fixed. They took my money when I purchased it for warranty but when I need it to get fixed I need approval. I had to keep reaching out to them and finally I got in touch to the third party. When he came he knew what was wrong with it before he opened it. But he didn’t have the part that he knew that it was always the problem with these machines. So why don’t they carry one or two parts that they know they fail on this machines and when they run out get more? So I had to wait for the part which took 3 days and after they received the part I had to wait an additional week to get someone to come and put the part in. If I wouldn’t have called them constantly to get the work done it would have taken a lot longer. When I wanted to talk to a manager at Tepperman’s they would ask me why and they always wanted to give me the care team. And it took me an hour on the phone to get to the same answer. Their excuse was the warranty is with a second or third party so I had to call them too. It took 3 weeks or more to get my washing machine fixed. If I didn’t buy the warranty from Tepperman’s I would have fixed it in 3 days. How do they expect a household of 4 people to go without a washing machine for over 3 weeks? Especially that one of the people in the house is a Personal Support Worker? And I let them know that. And still nothing was done until I was on their case, calling everyone non stop.Review fromJean A

1 starI just bought a very expensive mattress from Teppermans. My room is small so the young man put my mattress in , I signed the paper and they left. I went in to look at my bed and it's so high I can't sit on it. I have to pull myself up. My feet do not touch the floor. There is no way I can use this mattress as I had knee surgery and hip issues. I called immediately to ask to return it and get a shorter matress and told no. Even with my physical issues. It was not high when I tried it in the store, she said that because they use a small platform , not a full box spring. Well no one told me this. So now I am stuck with a mattress I can't use. I will not be back to get my new couch I picked out. Leon's will now get my business.

1 starI purchased 2 leather recliners for ~$5000 in June 2023. We were told the batteries would last "200-250" cycles, which is the equivalent of ~2 months. The batteries are only lasting 2 days before they need recharging. We brought this to Tepperman's attention immediately via Jessica L******, and received confirmation the batteries should last 200-250 cycles from the manufacturer. I have not heard back from anyone since despite a half dozen emails asking for a status. I have a 5 yr warranty. My expectation is two new batteries will be sent. And until I receive confirmation of that I will continue to share my negative experience.Review fromAl N

1 starI bought all new living room furniture. Delivery team damaged my home. There were a few calls and thought we had it settled….. that was MONTHS ago. I’ve called them repeatedly. IF I got a person, they told me someone would call me back. Still Nothing.
Terrible customer service. Wouldn’t deal with them again.Review fromTrevor H

1 starMy wife and I purchased a washer in September and it didn’t work. They replaced it a week later with the same make and model and this one didn’t work. They basically washed their hands clean of us and told us to deal with the manufacturer which we are still trying to deal with and it’s January . Found out as of November Teppermans is charging us for the washer they know doesn’t work and they continue to not be helpful. Shameful company taking advantage of struggling families .Review fromSher B

1 starI tried to price match a set of two pendants at the Kitchener store. I text them along with a picture of the the exact same pendant that teppermans carries along with the sku, brand name, everything that could identify the pendant. The answer came back that "yes" they could price match it. Great I thought, ....so I called and asked them to order the pendants in. I spoke to representative letting them know the situation. I was then told that I could not price match, because there was no date attached to the picture I sent them. I asked "where in your price match policy" does it say the date must be shown? They couldn't answer that. I simply said I have already been told yes, so why now are you changing the policy?? The manager called me as well, and he was not concerned at all...simply blew me off and said " sorry about that". So I proceeded to tell him that he not only lost out on this purchase, but my husband and I were going to purchase a leather couch, from them, but when they treat customers this way, I would never deal with teppermans.Review fromLorraine C

1 starToo bad there is a one star as I would like to give a 0. Tepperman’s Sarnia sold us a mattress. It was not very hard in the store, comfortable when trying. But when it came home it was like a brick. I phoned customer service. Was on hold for an hour then cut off. Phoned back again and waited another 30 minutes. When I asked for an exchange (like Linen Chest and Sleep Country offer), I was told there was NO WAY. When I complained because I have not slept since, I was told that it will take 90 days to “break it in”. The one in the store was softer because it’s on the floor. Funny, the sales rep forgot to mention that. She was very quick to get the sale.
Do not buy anything at this store. They are not interested in helping customers!
