My complaint is that Alliance Roofing company on September ** 2023 came into my neighborhood giving out free estimates on roofing. I decided to chose this company and gave them my (*******) insurance check and no work was done.Scott L***** informed me on Sept **,2023 that it will take them a 120 days before they come fix my roof. He’s no longer with the company. I stop bye the office and meet Scott M******** on November **2023 and he said he has taken over of the scheduling and that he was sorry of how things have gotten and the owner(Jody ****** ****) have stolen all the money and left town. But he insisted that he hopes to have all jobs done by the end of December but that was just a lie to there customers, They are no longer in business and I tried several attempts to call them and I went to their office and no one was there. Adrian D**** was my sales person who received my front end check on Sept ** 2023. Still No work was done and no communication.Initial Complaint

On * August 2023, I paid Alliance Specialty Contractor to replace my roof. The company stated they couldn't replace my roof until December because they was backed up with other clients. I have been calling the office and no has responded back to me. I called two employees Adrian ###-###-#### and both stated they no longer work for the company.Initial Complaint

The company was to replacement my roof *** an insurance claim. Mike M******, project manager, prepared the contract and took the initial check in the amount of $9,347.09 on ***/23. The work was to be completed in 4-6 weeks. They never started the job then stopped all communication. To date, NO roof and NO money. They have another location, however, you can never catch them at either one. I would like my money back and the public warned as they are still operational - we just can't find them. Several of us wound up meeting at the ******** ** *ocation trying to catch them. Through each other, we learned that there are many more victims.Customer Answer

I still haven't heard from the company. My bank, ***** *****, said that there is nothing they can do since the payment was with a check and the issue is between Alliance and myself. I did learn that Alliance also uses the same bank.

On ****/2023 signed a contract and wrote a personal check in the amount of $7219.25 and handed to Mike M****** that cleared my bank on ****/2023. I was told 4-6 weeks to do my roof. Mike told me he wasn't sure about any date cause he didn't handle the calendar and advise me to reach out to Scott L*****. Called Mike on ***/23 for Scott number, called Scott ****/23 was told didn't have the start date and that the materials had been pre order and once it were received he would call to give me a date. ****/23 called Scott call went to voice mail, call Scott *******he told me that it were a lot of people on the life before me to get their roof did and that my roof would be done by Thanksgiving I told him that was more that 6 weeks. *****/23 call Scott he told me that he would call me back within 2-3 weeks to give me a date they would do my roof. ****/23. Received and email from Scott M***** saying he were the new person over the Communication dept and to contact him with any question. Reach out to Mr. M***** numerous time now answer let a message. When to the business locate no one there. Call Scott L***** the pervious person he told me he no longer would with the company and text me a phone to call I told him no one answer he said he wasn't surprise a good luck on getting someone. Alliance Specialty Contractor received a check from me in the amount of $12,860 on *******23 to begin the process of installing a new roof. Upon this date we have not received anything or no materials have been ordered. I understand there is a 50% cancellation fee but who can afford that type of penalty. When the contractor came by to pick up the check the next day after I received it. He stated within 2 - 4 weeks they would start, It's been almost 5 months. I have tried talking to them about the roof but I get the same story that "we are on the list". I think they have had more than enough time to complete my roof. Please help me with a resolution. I would like my roof replace and to prevent any further damage to my roof.Business Response

Customer is under contract (see attached) and has been advised of the cancellation fee. We have been in communication with him (see attached) providing updates. Weather, Labor, and Materials have caused delays industry wide however we have him on our schedule. In ***** 2023 was approached by a representative for Alliance Specialty Contractors concerning my roof. He was in an Alliance truck. Rep met with my insurance agent & a claim was submitted & agreed upon. Was told would be completed within 4 weeks. Checks for almost $3300 were given to Alliance & were cashed on ***** **.
