      I have been living in my new home in Bessemer since March 17, 2025, today is June 18th and I have not received a bill yet, I have called several times only to be told that my meter has not been read for the 3 months and they will send someone out to read the meter, and send me a bill within a week which has not happened! It is totally unfair to the homeowners to pay a utility bill that has 3 months of usage on it. All of my neighbors in the subdivision of Crosswinds at *********** in Bessemer are having the same problem, can you please help?

      Bessemer utilities have waited till days later on each month, until 3 days after bill is due to send me a slip to see my usage rates and its getting old I use to receive my bill on the 10th of every month and now I dont receive my bill till 3 days after it is due Ive been at my apartment since 2021 ***** now all the sudden it has Changed Im tired of the dishonesty

      I received my bill for the month of March and was charged $298.00. Prior to this billing my bill for the month of February was $81.85. When I contacted customer ********************** I was told by the agent that maybe I washed more clothes that month which I explained we don't have a washer/dryer connection in these apartments. She then said maybe I had a leak I told her that there were water coming out of the ground in the month of Feb but didn't have anything to do with my apartment. They left a note on my door on 02/26/25 saying that the meter was reading higher than normal and when I spoke with customer ********************** they said they sent someone out and no leaks was reported. For the months of ****** **** July, and Sept of 2024 my bill was the exact amount of $69.79 and the months of Nov 2024 and Feb 2025 the same amount of $81.85. No one comes out to read the meter because there's no way my bill can be the exact same amount for several months and never changes. Who uses the exact same amount of water a month. I have left messages for the meter reader supervisor Mr. ****** and has yet heard anything back from him. My bill for ***** is for $61.14 which I am paying today but I refused to pay a $300 bill for one month when I haven't used any more water than I normally use. I have no leaks and the toilets aren't or haven't been running. I feel like Bessemer Utilities is trying to make me pay for the leak they had outside my apartment because my apartment is on the ground floor and is the closest to the sidewalk where the leak was happening. When they left the notice on my door back in Feb I called that same day and was told someone would be out the following day when I asked what time they was coming I was told that I didn't need to be home so I don't know if they came out or not but I was told that it was reported that I didn't have any leaks by the customer ********************** agent ******* on yesterday.

      Within the last couple of months our power bill has jumped from $400 a month to 1000 or over. There are multiple review complaints about the same exact thing from other customers. I have not used any other appliances and I have not used any more water than I normally do. Can someone help me make this make sense? It looks like its done from Bessemer utilities. They keep tampering with it.

      Im having the same issue with Bessemer Utility. My problem began last month when I got my bill the day after cut off date. Ive been living in my home for ************************************* the month of July. My bill is due on the 25th of every month and I usually get it no later than the 15th of the month. Today is the 19th of August my bill is due on the 25th and I still havent received my bill so I went straight to the utility company today and paid bill and also ***orted that my bill is coming to me late. The service *** blamed it on the post office. She claimed that they dropped the bills off to the post office and dont know what happens after that. I feel as though Bessemer Utility is deliberately delaying your bill so you will be late and get tired of paying late fees. In my opinion they are trying to force customers to go paperless so they can save money by not having to pay for postage.

      Bessemer Utilities is my water company. For several months now they have mailed out their customers bills too close to the due date thereby making it impossible to pay it on time. Then they charge a late fee. I have been forced to drive to their main office to pay the bill to avoid late fees. Recent example, I received current bill in mail on 6/7/24. Due date is 6/7/24. When *** asked why, an employee blamed it on the postal service. It cant be postal service every month!

      My electric bill has shot up from ****** to ****** and we have not done anything differnet to use extra electricity. i am on disability and cannot pay this bill. I am disputeing this charge, we did not use this much extra electricity.

      I had a refund for ****** when I moved over a year ago. from **************** Was never contacted. I was told about the credit and told it would be 30 days. I got my bill for **** and it had a late charge and wrong amount. They said I did not pay bill. I pay my bill immediately and called **************** who contacted them and they were told we had the contact NexPay! After several weeks ******* called an found the payment went to wrong my account. Why would they keep a refund and never contact me? This was over a year! The people are the rudest and act like they are bothering them! I called today held for over an hour and a lady answered and I told her all the information and she was looking it up. Put on hold and disconnected!!! To be a public service business and we pay taxes to pay then.With out a doubt this is the hardest place to fix anything. I cant believe I was never told about the refund! I just want my money.I moved from *************** to 433 Waverly Terrace Bessemer. I went before I moved and had address forwarding. I know this will be a waste to time you will do nothing! It is ridiculous the incompetence of those people and the rudest you endure!!

      Over charging bill and customer ********************** reps could not explain what the charges represent..The residence has been unoccupied since April 2022 and water usage was still bring charged...The bill was $70.00 from August 2022 through February 2023 and jumped up to $319 in March 2023...No one has been able to explain the increase to me...The past due balance in $800 without any explanation of bill from no one at Bessemer Utilities

      BESSEMER UTILITIES DOES NOT BILL EACH ACCOUNT BASED ON OCCUPANCY.  WE PHYSICALLY READ THE METERS MONTHLY FOR BILLING.  THERE IS NO WAY WE COULD EXPLAIN WHY A CUSTOMERS BILL AMOUNT HAS CHANGED.  THE ONLY EXPLANATION THAT CAN BE GIVEN IS THAT THE READING IS ACCURATE.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The property hasn't been occupied since March 2022.There hasn't been any use of water, so how can the meter read any type of water usage...I don't live there and I have proof of my current residence..I've been living at my current residence since August, 2022 and before then I lived at another residence, which wasn't **************So, how and why am I getting a bill and no one is living/ has lived in the house since March 2022??

      02-04-23. I called because my inside and outside lights were messing up. One room was reslly bright and the other room was dim. The outside light did the same. I called made thr report. I waited and nothing happed. Called back nothing.02-05-23 called back norhing. 02-06-23 I was awaken by the smell of smoke. I jumped up and it was coming from behind the stove. I ran and flipped the ****** and unplugged the stove I called back at about 5am and they came out about 7am. In the meantime I don't have a stove and microwave. I filed a claim and I feel like I'm getting the run around. I don't feel like it's my fault because I reported the problem.
