I put $*** down and got a secured credit from Regions Bank to build my credit. I thought Regions would use my $*** deposit to satisfy the outstanding balance and mail me the remainder when I stopped making payments due to my job loss.

Regions Bank used my deposit to satisfy the balance and left the account open to continue accruing fees and other surcharges, contrary to how a secured credit card should operate.

I contacted the bank numerous times and spoke to their representatives ****** and her supervisor, ******, but I could not get them to rectify the issue.

Regions Bank's egregious action is ruining my credit profile. I want them to credit my account and delete the negative remarks on my credit reports.

My wife was given a check from a company she applied for via LinkedIn and the check was deposited. It was later returned for non payment and it was determined to be fraudulent (scammer). Regions made the decision to close our account out and mailed a letter stating that 10 days after the date of the letter the account would close and a check would be cut from the remaining funds in the account and mailed to the address on file. I found out from a branch about this letter on 6/30/2022 and that was when Regions mailed the letter. Today is 7/20/2022 which is 21 days (17 business days) from the date of that letter. Regions said the 10 days was to allow for any pending transactions to clear the account. That's not what happened--in fact, my mortgage was late because we had to wait for my next paycheck to get caught up. By doing that, I am now behind nearing a month on other responsibilities. Regions is holding my money hostage and they're customer service says I need to visit a Branch for resolution and any Branch I visit says they can't resolve as their hands are tied.

Now 4 months later I get a letter from a collection agency saying I owe them *** dollars. What? My account should have closed. 4 months later your saying I owe money? I want this resolved.

I was recently denied a credit limit increase on my Visa Credit Card account. It has been such a disappointment. I DEMAND my application for this credit accounts be reviewed by someone with some sense. My credit history is exceptional. This means I am stable, as well as responsible with my credit-making decisions. I have never missed a payment and have an excellent profile with over 25 years of history and various accounts.

My personal credit profile is spotless and meets all the data points that you require as I was previously informed by them of this, therefore there is no reason but discrimination of why I was denied. I have been told many different lies, and contradictory statements. It takes an hour to get someone on the phone.

Given this I have no choice but to report your bank. I want to file a formal complaint due to the incompetence and carelessness show to me.

I am utterly disgusted with your institution and will be suing as a result. You need to do better, in order to restore my faith in your bank. I need answers this does not make any sense to me. I am very angry and will be speaking to the government, FDIC, and the attorney general to inform them of this. How dare you treat loyal customers in a disrespectful manner. What the hell is wrong with you?
