      At their **********, ** store, I recently wanted to use the $25 off $100 or more on three books that totaled $100.65. The representative told me they could not give me the coupon because my member discount would drop it below $100 and that I needed to buy more. I advised that this was not the case in the past and that the coupon is before any discount not after. They refused to apply it so I reached out to another store to ask and that manager agreed that they should have applied the discount and they provided me the email to the district manager.I reached out to that district manager but he indicated I shouldn't get a discount in that situation even though he stated in his email back that the coupon is before any discount not after. As such, I reached out to the company customer service line and spoke with two representatives and their supervisor who both agreed that I was correct and that they coupon should be applied in those situations even though they were aware some stores don't and it's up to their discretion. I asked if there was a written policy at all and they indicated no. I also asked why there was such inconsistency and they mentioned they didn't know why. As such, this company is not following their own language on the coupon. This is a major disenfranchisement of the member customer.

      Fraud. Like everyone else is saying... just wish I'd checked here first. They just take your money and run. I ordered from them weeks ago. They emailed me saying they contacted "the distributor." What distributor?oof, I think this is probably just a fraud company that pretends to sell books.Would be nice to have my order or have my money back.

      Fraud alert. ZERO stars. Shoppers beware. Somehow, even though I clearly declined their magazine offer in November 2022, I was charged over $50 and sent 4 different magazines between Dec 2022 and 3.1.2023. Apparently, having a membership with BAM means they can charge you for things you dont want without your permission. Yes they cancelled the subscriptions. I hope the refund goes thru but I should never have had to deal with this in the first place. what a bunch of con artists. I will be buying my books elsewhere forever.

      We are sorry the customer had trouble with the magazine subscription. This program is very popular with our customers.  The Magazines for Millionaires Program allows anyone using a credit or debit card to choose up to 3 of their favorite magazine selections to sample risk-free for two months. At checkout, the customer selects up to three magazines and agree to the terms of the offer at that time.  A full refund can be requested within 45 days by calling Magazines for ***************************** at **************.

      Approximately 2-3 weeks after the magazine order is processed, the customer is sent a postcard in the mail citing the magazine(s) chosen, the rate, date, and amount your credit or debit card will be charged, along with the Magazine for Millionaires toll-free customer service number.

      At the end of the 2-month trial period, the card used for the initial purchase at Books-A-Million would have been charged the first of two equal semiannual payments for each magazine selection. This information was stated on the postcard previously sent. If the customer has any problems with the refund, please call ***************************** at **************.

      I would give 0 stars if I could. Unfortunately you think a known company would be better. Do NOT order online. Placed order 1/2. No updates and its 1/28. Emailed customer service numerous times. No response. On 1/17 Live chat said they are waiting on shipment from distributor. 1/28 still no updates. nothing was said about about distributor when I placed the order.. first I was upset about not getting the product I ordered. Now, I am angry at the lack of - or better said- non-exsistent customer service.

      We're sorry the product has not come into the warehouse for shipping out to her.  I have reached out to the warehouse again to see when or if they expect the item to come in.  Either way, I will email the customer back. Thank you.

      I'm disappointed. I received an autographed book with missing pages. I understand that misprints happen but to not receive a replacement book or to be expected to return my limited edition autographed copy? Not ok. I should have received an un-autographed replacement or more than $* back when my purchase was over $** with shipping. Because now besides being autographed, the book I purchased is useless. I've never ordered Books-a-Million online, but I won't be ordering again.
