October 14, 2024
We appreciate the consumer,
Satyra Miles, for contacting AmSher through the BBB portal. In the complaint,
the consumer claims he is not liable for the T-Mobile account listed on his
credit reports because he does not have a contract with AmSher Collection
Services and was not provided the original contract as previously requested and
further demands a correction be made by removing this account from his credit
reports.
Please
be advised that AmSher has received no request for an original contract, nor
any other validation requests, from Mr. Miles until our receipt of this
complaint. Note, Mr. Miles does not need to have a contract
with AmSher. He does however have a binding contract with T-Mobile, and they
have assigned the account to our office for collection.
AmSher’s investigation began by
requesting our client, T-Mobile, to review the history of the account in
question. Upon receipt of T-Mobile’s review, research shows the account was
activated on 05/30/20 as a postpaid individual-regular account in the billing
name, Satyra Miles. AmSher’s initial notification letter was mailed to the last
known address provided by the consumer at, W Flamingo Road, in Las Vegas, NV.
The last payment of $118.39 was
received on 03/21/23 and was credited towards the consumers on going account
balance. Leaving
the remaining balance of $974.10, which is valid for services rendered and
still owed by the responsible billing party, Satyra Miles. The breakdown of the charges are as follows: remaining
service usage $115.24, late fees $57.70, restoration fee $41.96, unreturned
equipment $348.34, Assurant warranty $73.80, SRVC ST $178.26, dishonored check
charge $25.00, and an OCA charge of $119.71.
Further research and review is showing
our client, T-Mobile, recalled this account on 10/12/24. AmSher closed and returned the account to
T-Mobile on the same day. As requested
by the consumer, AmSher has already submitted the account to be removed from his
credit reports, allowing up to sixty (60) days for each of the credit bureaus
to update. Thank you for allowing AmSher an opportunity to address
the consumer’s concerns. Please note, all future inquiries as it relates to

We are in receipt of a 2nd complaint letter from the consumer, ****** ********,
responding to AmSher’s written resolution letter, on 09/08/24, through the BBB
Portal. We appreciate the consumer, ****** ********, for contacting
AmSher through the BBB portal. In the first complaint, *** ******** claimed she
was not liable for the Charter Communications account listed on her credit
reports because she did not have a contract with AmSher Collection Services and
was not provided the original contract as previously requested and further demanded
a correction be made by removing this account from her credit reports.
However, AmSher was unable to locate
the specific account in question with the information provided in the BBB
complaint form. In *** ********** 2nd complaint letter, she provided
the account number to better assist AmSher in locating the correct account.
Please be advised that AmSher has
received no request for an original contract, nor any other validation
requests, from *** ******** until our receipt of this complaint. Note, *** ********
does not need to have a contract with AmSher. She does however have a binding
contract with Charter Communications, and they have assigned the account to our
office for collection.
We have
forwarded the last billing statements for the months of April-May 2023, to
validate the remaining amount owed, to the BBB site. AmSher’s investigation
began by requesting our client, Charter Communications, to review the history
of the account in question. Upon receipt of Charter’s review, research shows
the account was activated at the service address on ******* ***** **, in
Mascotte, FL on 05/03/22, in the billing name, ****** ********. The final
billing statements from Charter and AmSher’s initial notification letter were
mailed to the same address provided by the consumer on the BBB complaint form
at, ** *** *** Mascotte, FL.
The last payment of $178.19 was
received on 04/13/23. AmSher’s investigation was able to confirm the equipment
that was due back by 05/17/23, is showing returned, leaving the remaining
balance of $178.19, which is valid for the remaining Spectrum TV
and Internet services rendered in May 2023 and still owed by the responsible
billing party, ****** ********. If the consumer can provide proof of any other
payments made after 04/13/23, our client, T-Mobile, will adjust the balance
accordingly. Otherwise, we encourage the
consumer to contact AmSher to establish repayment of the debt owed, for a final
resolution to this matter. Our office
can be reached at ***************
As a
courtesy to *** ********, AmSher has already requested that the account be
removed from her credit reports. Be advised, this in no way suggests that
Charter Communications considers the account to be invalid or inaccurate and is
still owed by the responsible billing party, ****** ********. Please allow up to sixty (60) days for
each of the credit bureaus to update. Thank you for allowing AmSher an
opportunity to address the consumer’s concerns.Initial Complaint
