Professional and academic organizations need to find a real company to administer their exams. With ProctorU, the hardest part of any exam is getting ProctorU's ancient and sloppy technology to work. I have a 35 minute exam I've been trying to take with these guys, and three hours into try to start the exam ProcotorU has so screwed up the whole process that I'm unable to take my exam.ProctorU

I just attempted to complete a career based entrance exam, which ProctorU was running. I ran into many issues, as every 5-8 minutes my session would disconnect and kick me out of my exam. I was only allotted 2 hours to write this exam and spend over 30 minutes waiting for a technician or ******* to re open my exam. As I was waiting for them to reopen it, my exam timer was stilling and ultimately costed me 30 minutes on a 99 questions exam. Throughout my whole exam my wifi connection was at full bars and did not waver once. Unfortunately, I may have to use ProctorU again due to the nature of this career but for those who are looking for such services I strong advise you NOT to use them whatsoever. They are taking no accountability for these errors. I tried to explain to the customer service line as well as my ******* when finally connected that this was career based and missing out on crucial time could be the difference in getting the job or not. All I was told is that they are sorry for the inconvenience but that they cannot do anything further to potentially give me a rewrite or extra time too finish incomplete questions. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ProctorU TO ANYONEProctorU

1 starThis is the absolute worst company I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. If you need to take a proctored test I would recommend going to a ******* Vue testing center before I would EVER use ProctorU. Aside from the obvious outsourcing of their proctors which in my opinion is a huge security threat to your personal information, their platform is terrible. I arrived on time to my appointment only to have to wait over 20 minutes for a *******. After 40 minutes I was finally in my test. I was on question ****************************************************************************************************************************************** I asked customer service what happened and no one would tell me anything. I contacted NRFSP and was told I needed to pay a reschedule fee to proctor u and I could get back in to my test. I paid the feel arranged another appointment and when I finally got in the test after waiting again for almost ******************************************************************************* I ended up having to pay for a second test and went to ******* Vue. 1 starWhen starting my test for the first time, there was a software called Mouse Without Borders, a program that allows you to sync your mouse across different computers, running in the background. The ******* saw that it was causing issues, but just tried to restart the process, rather than having me terminate the program. It was my first time testing with them, and I didn't initially realize that my program was causing an issue, and assumed that the ******* would tell me to terminate the program if it was an issue. After the ******* restarted the process twice, I offered to terminate the program, seeing that it was causing an issue. I did, to which the ******* seemed grateful, but after trying to restart the process a third time, it turned out that my test had been invalidated, after which the ******* ceased communication and told me I would have to retake the test. I WAS TRYING TO HELP!!! After trying to reschedule the test and becoming increasingly frustrated with their garbage customer service, I finally had to reschedule the test and PAY FOR IT ALL OVER AGAIN. They kept trying to refer me to different parts of the company, an arduous process for which I DON'T HAVE TIME DURING THE *** and during their limited business hours. You run the service 24/7 with ******** from *****, do the same with your customer support! If I had ANY other option, I would never take another test with ProctorU again. I hate having to pay DOUBLE for a test that should have taken me on attempt.Review fromTanya V

1 starMy experience with ProctorU was awful. I have seen some unfortunate and unprofessional things in academia but nothing quite like this. Today was supposed to be the day I took the *** praxis with ETS via ProctorU. I work full time for the ********** of ********* so I can just have this we off and Monday and Tuesday were devoted to review of study material. I prepared the room and looked for the link that they NEVER SENT! When I called to inquire they rephrased everything I said to imply that I was 30 minutes absent. The irony is that I was talking to them before that I was talking to them attempting to find out what was going on when that would have been possible. I am not certain what to do now except to call ETS and insist on another vendor. To top it off I went to their ******** page and found out I am not the only one who has experienced this.Review fromElana F

1 starHORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, experience using Proctor U. All I have to say is I shared my accessibility with the live chat support person who was SUPPOSED TO HELP ME SET UP MY EXAM. Then I can visibly see him go to cash app on my screen but using his accessibility and I IMMEDIATELY exited and deleted guardian browser. I will NEVER use ProctorU again.Review fromKatelyn N.

1 starI have to use ProctorU for my advanced practice nursing program. This is by far the worst program and my experiences with ProctorU have been the worst in my entire academic career, and I have 2 bachelor's be a master's degree before. We have to use this program for our exams, and EVERY single time there is ALWAYS an issue. The technicians are absolutely horrible, useless, and rude. They waste so much of our time troubleshooting and not knowing how to do anything and we are just waiting. One technician will ************ to the next. I can clearly tell that this program's staff is from a different country. They do not even speak English well, yet alone do their job right. Every single time, there is an issue with their Guardian Browser; it never works for my exams on my school's website and they always have to use a different browser. They also are not even watching you like they are supposed to (their main job). Every time I am done with my exam, I chat to the technician that I am done and they will ask me if I submitted yet. Clearly it's submitted like minutes ago, that's why there is a score. They don't even ******* you correctly. Many students have had so many issues as well and have to reschedule their exam multiple times and use multiple computers. Why does my computer work one day and not the next? There is always a problem!! They make you wait and multiple technicians to tell you it's not working and send to their IT which is the same. The technicians **********, ************, **** **********, and ***** are all absolutely horrible. I had to deal with all 4 of them tonight including some supervisor that is also terrible. It took over an hour to get a supervisor. There is ZERO accountability. They do not care that you studied so hard and are already nervous. They are extremely incompetent. Like I've stated, having to use this program has been the worst experience ever. I informed my school as well and hopefully they can use another program.Review fromIan K

1 starI was scheduled to take an exam at 950 AM. I logged in early and ensured my computer was set up, etc. When i opened the Proctor U session I was assisted by a Technician via the chatbox, after several minutes of testi8ng the computer, i was transferred to another technician that advised that I needed to unplug the phone in the room i was using which promptly disconnected the internet (as they are all connected to the computer-VOIP). Once I logged back in I had to start the ****************. After 40 5 minutes of going back and firth with various technicians, I was unable to log in to the test link and had to schedule an in person exam with the original exam administrator. This is the most convoluted set up, non-user friendly software, and the most sub-par customer service I have experienced. Not to mention that by the time you go through all of the unnecessary hurdles to get to your exam content you are highly frustrated. I can't believe that any US College or agency would actually pay to use such a mediocre platform. I give it minus 5 stars.
