  A zero rating would be more appropriate. Terrible company. Please do not use them. What was agreed to in our initial contract did not happen. Extra charges were added at pickup or they would not take all our items. At delivery tried to add more charges for stairs and would not release our things unless we paid. I consider this extortion. No one from this company was willing to help us during the move problems or after the move happened. No communication, no accountability. Very stressful, upsetting experience.

  ***** quoted $8k. Ended up paying over $18k. Don't listen to their original quote at all it's just to lock you into a deposit.They laughed at the idea of trying to get back our deposit, and also said- "the sales guy (aka *****) will tell you anything!" when he made us a bunch of claims to us like that we'll get our own truck to sell us.To top it off, the guys they hired on broke our dining table in our face. They almost dropped into my car, but hit the concrete instead. Broke a beautiful, expensive table in half. Told us to deal with it or go through a 6-week insurance process that pays 60cents per pound? What?

  I move a lot. At least every two years because of work, so of course I have hired movers many times. The service that they provided from the moment I requested a quote was adequate and they went through all the steps to make it easy for me. They even set the expectation about the possibility of having problems during the move! Being a mover is tough, and is easy to understand that for example a simple issue on the highway can be a factor resulting in damages, a driver getting sick on the road can delay your delivery, etc. The point is that a company that makes the client aware of possible failures in the correct tone is worth mentioning as most movers overpromise and are really bad with their communication. I am taking the time to help these guys by sharing my experience because again, they did a great job for a service for which is difficult to keep clients satisfied. I will definitely be in touch for my next one.

  As you mention, moving is hard and we get tons of punishing comments mostly from clients that do not make the right decision regarding additional coverage of their belongings. As we always state, we are at the mercy of road conditions, weather, and even a big bump on the road not seen by a careful driver can shake a truck trailer really hard and break furniture pieces or any other fragile items. We make our best effort to remind clients about having high value items with replacement value insurance and/or taking them in a personal vehicle because of the inherent risks of long distance transportation.
