1 starWhere to start? The man I met to go over our household items was great, but completely missed writing down my two large $1500 mirrors - both of which the packers didn't want to crate. One arrived completely destroyed. Besides the random broken things (*******, etc.), they also stole a handbag of mine right out of a tote. Allied/Coleman are refusing to acknowledge this was stolen by someone they hired and are denying reimbursement. Said I needed to "file a police report".... If I could do it again, I would have moved myself. There's nothing worse than feeling like you've been stolen from and taken advantage of. Our move cost us $16,000. Don't hire Allied (ESPECIALLY COLEMAN).Review fromvictor a

1 stardo not use this company. if we lost all our valuables in a fire, we would still have done better than moving with coleman allied of ****************. this company literally destroyed our furniture, lost the hardware to reassemble items such as bed and desk so now we have no choice but to get new ones, and damaged appliances to the point they are unusable (mangled prongs on the power cord etc). to add insult to injury, the delivery was well outside of the window given, the delivery driver and crew apparently had no idea about the second drop-off location which we paid extra for. the movers rough-handled our goods. the driver and one of the movers huffed and puffed during the entirety of the move and complained incessantly about coleman allied, threatening to walk and driving my 8-month pregnant, almost always stoic wife to the point of tears. the customer service rep assigned to us is the rare person in this process who showed sympathy and tried to help, but it was clear she was stuck in a giant machine that didnt give a *** about the customer. ******************** charged us over $10,000 for this move, got our things broken and late, and we are now sleeping on a dirty mattress on the floor because coleman destroyed our bed and ripped open the mattress cover during transit. if you ever consider moving with coleman allied, you could do worse than setting your belongings on fire.Review fromRobin P

1 starIf I could give zero stars I would.
Trying to get someone to help with my move from Irvine, CA to Surprise AZ. For a premium company, my move has been horrific
-Move date 09/28
-Movers showed up; began to load the truck. Items were not padded or protected
-Two hours in they told me they're out of room. Items needed to be left
-I asked them to call and get another moving truck
-They started cramming items into the truck
-95% of my furniture was brand-new, high-end furniture
-Posting negative comments online to get response/help. Tried to talk to local company. Manager was rude & did not apologize for inappropriate behavior, damage, or lack of a premium service
-Standing in my garage I hear the two movers in my driveway cussing about me and about how pissed they were. Let them know I was right there & they were being disrespectful.
-Asked them not to rush/shove my items
-Finally, a Julie Hatfield or Julie Lewis contacted me (may be the same person?). I explained everything & sent pictures. Also sent pictures to move coordinator Brittaney Gorden
-Julie assured me she would stick with me through this ordeal & escalate my claim for immediate resolution
-Now I am in my new home with damaged goods. A claim has been filed. Some “repair” company came to see damages/take pictures. Nothing was repaired
-I’m sure things like the ripped cover under my sofa and the fridge doors can be repaired
-Other items have special custom paint/powder coat finish & are ruined.
Countless phone calls and emails and no replies. It's sad that such a large company that charges and brags about premium service as like and runs their business like the local 5 & dime store.Review fromJacqueline Y

1 starI used Coleman Allied of Melbourne, FL based on a successful inhouse company move performed for my company. I am an experienced mover. My move was condo to condo, total 15 minutes away. I had moved 2 1/2 years prior with no issues. My neighbors making the same move plus storage with another company, had no issues.
On my move, three out of the four movers were new. They had virtually no tools. I had to ring doorbells to find tools for them. They jammed my platform for the bed in the elevator. They shoved the furniture in the probably, too small, truck and made a comment about Tetris. Some furniture was wrapped some wasn't. It was raining.
In the end, one of my expensive outdoor chairs had a huge stain on the back and the bottom, a lamp was cracked, a leather chair was badly scratched, another leather chair was scratched. They lost the screws to one of the platform beds, they lost the part to an electric recliner, they broke my coffee pot, they ripped the ends of both ends of one of the platform beds. Almost no piece of furniture escaped without scratches or gouges.
When I complained they sent one of their repair people to review everything. He made minor "lipstick on a pig" repairs on all the scratches and dents he could, ordered the parts he could and left me to do all the leg work for a claim. It was a lot of leg work to look into everything. Months went by without hearing about the claim. After many emails, they offered me weight value. This came out to less than the cost to repair one of the items.
When I explained to them that all of this occurred from bad service and that the claim response was obviously lacking in customer service in response to the poor service, I have received crickets.
I wish I had read these reviews first. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE Coleman Allied. In the Melbourne Florida area use ******** or someone else. If I could leave less than 1 star I would.Review fromLisa B

1 starI moved from FL to CT and hired Allied Van Lines/Coleman. The price was the highest of 4 quotes I. The movers arrived on the expected day and packed all of my items into their truck. None of my items were disassembled except for my couch and mattress frame. I was given an expected delivery date of 11/18–11/25.
I was called and told that some of my furniture did not make it on the truck that it would come on an overflow. I received a call that my items will be delivered on 11/18 but still not the other overflow items. The driver of the truck that delivered my items said that when he picked up my items in Jacksonville he had only a 600 SF truck and told them that my items would not fit they told him to take the items anyway, they would put the rest in another truck and send it after.
The day some of my items arrived which was 11/18 I was told I needed to give my cashiers check in full even though I was only being delivered half of my items. I spoke with the Director on the phone and she was very argumentative told me if I did not give the check they would send my items back for storage and then I would have to pay cash to get them out.
One of my dressers legs was broken, two of my desks were taken apart and there was no part box of any of the tools. The driver instructed me that even though the people that loaded the truck did not disassemble my furniture they do it at the warehouse to fit it into vaults, but they’re supposed to have a part box where they put all of the hardware Unfortunately there was no hardware box to be found. I had a ladder shelf that was taken apart there were no tools accompanied and a shelf is missing.
I was contacted via email by the Director telling me that my items were loaded in Jacksonville on 11/17 and gave me a tracking number to check my own delivery offering no assistance.
The boxes were crushed, and open. I’ve been given no information on how to be reimbursed for my missing and broken furniture.Review fromCynthia P

1 starThis company is the worst! Boxes marked “FRAGILE” were crushed, boxes with TV’s and framed artwork that stated “this side up” were thrown on their sides, or even upside down, multiple pieces of furniture were broken (most damaged beyond repair), and several boxes are missing. We have filed a claim, and we’re told that we have to hold on to our damaged items until they send a restoration company to see if they can be repaired. Meanwhile we are trying to settle into our new home, and are stuck storing broken furniture, on top of having to pay to replace a lot of the broken or missing items while we wait. After paying over $*****0 to move our stuff, we really thought they would take care of our items. Boy were we wrong! This company is terrible!Review fromRemelda D

1 starExperience with Coleman Worldwide Movers feels like a nightmare that we haven’t yet awakened from. In September of 2022, my partner and I retired from 40 years of work. We also decided to move from a high cost state to some place more affordable which in our case was Georgia. I did some due diligence and researched moving companies. After visiting Allied Coleman’s website and reading remarks from Consumer Affairs online, we thought they were a largest company who would get our things to Georgia safely and in tact — we were SO WRONG! From the start, things went wrong. They did not show up on the 1st day they promised they would pack our things and were late arriving on the next day to load, so packing and loading occurred on the 2nd day. They sent a couple of different groups of folks to the house, which appeared to us to be contract labor not employees.
When our things arrived in Georgia, the 1st set of movers said they could not assemble my canopy bed, they said they did not know how to, they broke a 2nd floor ceiling fan light while assembling a bed set which a 2nd group of movers had to return to reassemble because group 1 movers-from Coleman put the head board on backwards.
Numerous items were damaged and or broken. I filed a claim for the canopy bed, a dresser drawer being out of alignment and for a broken fan, heater dishes and various structural damage done to my walls in various places throughout the house The canopy bed was finally assembled a month after we arrived however, we are still waiting for resolution for the remaining items.
We paid entrusted Allied Coleman $*******00 to safely move our things to Georgia, now they are not responding to my emails for a status on the items that are permanently ruined from this move. Instead of them making us feel whole, we feel like victims of a horrible scam where now Coleman has our money and feel no obligation to compensate us for the losses they caused.
We really need help with this.Review fromConnie E

1 starTheir movers unloaded our furniture into storage units up to three pieces high and often on their sides resulting in damage to several pieces including breaking legs or feet on expensive items. One example is that some of feet of the dining room pieces were rounded and two were broken in half. We paid for full replacement insurance with a $0 deductible but I just learned our damage claim was denied because we were unloaded into a storage facility and they have no control over access to a storage facility and cannot accept responsibility for anything not noted at the time of unloading. All of the pieces moved into the storage unit remained wrapped in the quilted moving blankets the entire time they were stored so it wasn’t possible to see the damage until months later when it was brought out of storage and unpacked.
When we booked this move Allied was informed that the entire shipment was being moved into storage units. We paid about $**** for insurance. No one touched the contents of the unit after their men moved it into storage so who else is responsible given how they stacked it? I’ve seen their statement that their liability ceases once goods are placed into the storage unit. But what if the damage is the result of the way it was placed in the storage unit? Or unknown because of the fact that all items remained wrapped when they were placed in the unit. Of note is the damage to my computer armoire. The body of the unit was broken off the base and the cap was broken off the body. The crown above the cap was broken and the back of the cabinet was knocked out when they forced a box in the bottom shelf not noticing there was a metal book end on the shelf. And the armoire was packed with boxes.
So if it was still wrapped in the moving blanket how could we know any of this damage was done? Items were moved into 3 storage unit, two at opposite ends of the climate controlled building. I couldn’t be everywhere and can I be sure they’d point out what they broke?
