We use AM Waste for trash pickup but ever since April they have been spotty about pickup. Now we haven't had pickup since May 1st along with the rest of our neighborhood. We have received no communication from AM Waste along with no offer of credit to our accounts for the delay.Initial Complaint

I pay Amwaste quarterly for 1 weekly trash pick-up. My quarterly amount paid was ***** and service fee 2.95. My scheduled pick up was for this past Wednesday 5/1/24. I watched the trash bin truck pick up my neighbors trash across the street then sit in front of my bin for several minutes. It then proceeded to take off without picking up my trash. I called Amwaste and after a lengthy hold I talked with a customer rep., she didn't know why my trash didn't get picked up but nothing she could do, I would need to call back tomorrow. I called again the next day and talked to a customer rep. she told me the trash would be picked up tomorrow. She didn't know why it didn't get picked up. ***** no trash pickup the next day. Another lengthy wait on phone hold, I talk to another customer rep. ***** I am told I don't know why trash not picked up Wed., but I shouldn't have been told it would be picked up the next day. I was put on the recovery list and that didn't happen until Saturday. I then asked the rep. to put me thru to a supervisor, I wanted to know why there was a conscious effort not to pick up my trash and why so much confusion as to when it would be picked up. She said she would send my request to a supervisor. It is now Monday 5/6/23. My trash is still in my bin waiting for pick-up. and no contact from a supervisor. Aside from the frustration of so much time spent trying to contact this company and get an answer of why services are not being rendered in my world what they are doing is theft. Amwaste has failed to pick up my garbage for three weeks (as of tomorrow April 2, 2024). I have called and emailed during this period asking for a supervisor to call me back, but no call or pick up as I was promised. I want to be reimbursed for the missed days of pick up!Business Response

AMWASTE DOES NOT PICK UP OUR GARBAGE ***************************** WHEN YOU CALL THEY SAY THEY WILL SEND A EMAIL. THATS ALL THEY CAN DO? Yes, I have heard from the company. I am still not satisfied because they still did not pick up our garbage that week. They picked it up the following week. This week it was not picked up again. They put an auto call out saying they would pick it up by Saturday which is what they always say and it is NEVER picked up. So our garbage is STILL NOT picked up again! It is an ongoing issue from one week to the next. They skip weeks but never refund us our money we paid for weekly service. If you don't pay them they make you pay a 50$ service fee AND STILL DON'T PICK UP YOUR GARBAGE? What is their penalty?? They can just take your ******************'t provide a service and all you can do is call and complain over and over and over again to no avail.Initial Complaint

Amwaste is contracted by Jefferson County to pick up household waste weekly. They havent picked up our trash in six weeks, nor have they picked up any of the back door service customers on our street. We have all contacted the business by phone multiple times and are told they will pick up our trash they never do. The county isnt doing anything about it, and the residents are tired of their backyards being filled with garbage while they are being charged for weekly service by Amwaste.Business Response

I am filing this complaint against Amwaste ( a trash collection company).Amwaste has failed to collect my garbage despite the bill has been paid in full.This is the 3rd week in a month that my trash has not been collected.They failed to pick-up my trash on 3-20-24, then again they failed to pick up my trash on 4-17-24, then again on 4-23-24.I contacted Amwaste on 4-18-24 and was told they would send someone out to collect the trash. No one ever came out. I sent an email to Amwaste customercare on 4-22-24, and only received an automated response saying they received my email. Have not heard anything back from them.I contacted Amwaste again on 4-24-24 by phone inquiring as to why my trash was not picked up ,again, on 4-23-24 and was told they would try and get someone out. I asked if they would be picking up the trash that day and I was told " I don't know, I hope so". Basically telling me they couldn't gaurantee trash pick up nor as to when they could send someone out to collect the trash.My trash has been sitting at curb side for 2 weeks now. Trash collection is supposed to be every Wednesday. Apparently this is a wide spread problem with this company failing to pick up customers trash, as evidence by many complaints posted on their website.Also last year I filed a complaint with the company and the county as Amwaste removed not 1 but 2 of my trash containers that were my personal contains that I bought and paid for. I asked to be reimbursed for the second container because I watched the driver dump my container in the trash truck.
