      They take weeks to pick up what should be weekly service. We have called at least 10 times in 4 Months but nothing changes. Jefferson County *******

      Amwaste is a terrible garbage service! At least 1 - 2 times a year they just drop my mothers pick-up and we have to call a few times to get them to start picking up again. My mom is 86 years old and pays for back door pick-up because she cant physically push the cans to the street. They have missed her for 4 weeks in a row now and we have called twice. On top of that, I was told that they would only credit her bill for one week. Shame on them!

      Amwaste is the worse company i have ever dealt with in my life. They picked up my next door neighbors trash, but did not pick my trash up. I even have it on video. I am not sure this company even cares for their customers. I hope they go out of business.

      When I realized I had not received a bill from Amwaste since March I initially thought it was related to the fuel surcharge that the county had voted to allow and it was taking some time to get that worked out. When I called what is laughingly known as customer service I was informed that my acount was in arrears and my service had been cancelled and there would be a ****y dollar fee to reinstate service. I was also informed that the reason I had not received a paper bill was because the bill had been sent to my email address. I have NO BILLS sent to my email address and check my e mail and spam folder at least twice a day , did not request it to be changed to email and never had notice from Amwaste that someone at their company had made this change without consulting me , nor informed that my account was overdue. I of course will pay whatever I owe them from the March 11 invoice until Oct.12 but will not pay the $** fine for what is their mistake and am prepared to go without garbage collection. I do not understand why Jefferson County can't find a better company to serve residents. Again, why is there not an option for a zero star review?

      Never consistent picking up the trash from our area. Honestly get surprised if they even come the day they are scheduled. Trash overflowing constantly due to this. Animals getting in extra trash they accumulate from not picking it up. Now our house is overflowing with trash because we have no where to put it, because if we put it on the ground by the overflowing trash can, again wildlife gets to it. Terrible.

      I would leave 0 stars if I could. I paid almost $** 2 weeks ago to start service. 4 days after payment, they tell me there's a balance owed at the address and I need to provide a lease. I provided the documentation they needed but have yet to hear anything back. I have sent 4 follow-up emails, as well as gone to the site to the "contact us" section to inquire. I have not heard a single thing from anyone, nor have I received my trash can. I cannot leave bags just laying out by the road due to stray animals that roam the neighborhood. This company seems shady. I want either the services that I paid for, or I want my money back.

      Amwaste did not pick up my trash for 3 weeks out of last month (so 6 out of 8 pick ups were missed.) I called multiple times and was told they could not find me in their system, but they absolutely can find my email to bill me every quarter. My can is put out no later than the night before pick up day and is never overfilled which are 2 other reasons she stated it may not have been picked up. I was promised that they would be there the following Monday to empty my can, and they came and took my entire can LOL! This was not the first, second, third or even close to the only times that my can was missed so thanks for saving me any more headaches from you all! Currently using ******** ***** ********* and I am VERY happy with my service thus far. I would highly recommend *** to anyone in the Amwaste service area!

      This company is absolutely trash (no pun intended). Do yourself and your neighbors a service and attend county budgeting meetings to object to this company’s bid for trash removal rights in your county. They recently implemented a fuel surcharge in which my service price increased over 100%. However, the gas surcharge didn’t attribute to the entire increase in price. They upgraded my service to yard debris removal as well even though I did not request that service. For the last several pickups I have attempted to take advantage of the yard waste since I was charged for it. BUT… they refuse to pick up my yard waste! So not only did they upgrade my service to include yard waste removal without consulting me but they also do not remove the yard waste when I leave it out for them! They underbid companies such as waste management (which are miles ahead in terms of customer service) to only charge you a ridiculous amount for basic trash removal and then service your area at sporadic times while not providing you half of the service you are paying for. To top it off, their online portal/website looks like it was built in the 90s and is not user friendly at all. Since they underbid all other trash removal services, they must not have the funds to provide a better customer experience including spending decent money on a functioning website. I can’t imagine how poorly they take care of their employees if this is the way they treat their customers. The best future outcome for this company would be bankruptcy. Again, do whatever you can to ensure this company does not win trash removal rights in your area!
