**** really knows his stuff. I had a problem with my Generac 18 KW generator not completing last Fridays self test cycle. After 10 minutes he diagnosed that there wasnt a. Problem with the unit but that the cold snap had caused the gas regulator to stick. It worked fine and he tested the transfer switch as well. During a routine contract inspection of my heating system the technician said he found a small gas leak on a union going into the furnace. The quoted price for repair is $688, but since we have a contract it is "only" $618. Having run several industrial maintenance departments in my work career, I know there can't be more than a few dollars of parts and changing it should only take 15 to 30 minutes. This is an incredible rip-off. There had been no odor of gas that we could detect previously, and we been by the unit several times recently.Sentry Heating, Air, Plumbing, Electrical & Generators

We are sorry you feel the pre-quoted price was not acceptable. Sentry hires the best in our industry and part of what our customers rely on and pay for is that knowledge and expertise. People often overlook the cost of running a business includes technician pay rates, trucks, gas, part cost, and so on. Over the last 3 years we have seen a significant increase in the costs of running business, which does affect our pricing on repairs. You did in fact have a gas leak and it is our duty to ensure our customers safety, which is why we brought it up to you at the time of inspection. Would you have rather us just passed it off as no big deal, because it was a small leak? Then we would be liable and would not be doing our job to protect your equipment and home. Sentry has been in business for over 37 years and we pride ourselves on our honesty and integrity. Sentry Heating, Air, Plumbing Electrical will price gauge you with rediculously high prices!! Booked appointment through BBB for replacement of two floodlights under ***** of home at 2nd story level. I already purchased the floodlight units and bulbs. All this information was included in request for the installation. Sentry person calls me and says someone can come next morning. They arrive and tell me they thought were only going to replace bulbs. I clarify above..They say *** not have ladder tall enough. Then inform me will cost $933.00 to replace using my equipment. I say outrageous price. Cancel request. They insist on my paying $99.00 service fee. I tell them not reasonable as their price is ridiculous. They consult with office and say if they waive fee they will put me on their no serve list. I say that is fine as I never intend to use their way over priced work anyway. *************, We are sorry you feel our price was high, but based on the location of where the lights are located and other electrical factors that needed to be installed, that was our final rate. You were told upfront the service fee was $99 and you agreed to that, or we would have not sent anyone out to quote you on this extensive electrical work. We have been in business over 37 years and would not be as successful as we are if we were overpriced or price ***** our customers. I had a plumbing problem and needed help at 11:00 pm. Looked for companies advertising 24 hour service. First call company could not come for three days although they advertised 24 service. Called Sentry and they immediately started to help. Contacted on call tech, ******,. He arrived about 11:50 pm. He was pleasant, professional, identified and remedied the problem.
