Early 2024 I purchased a club membership. About a month or so later I added my mother aps I’m disabled and she helps me with errands. However, they somehow messed up and changed my name to hers. At first I didn’t think it was a big deal as I ordered mostly online.
My closest physical store is about an hour drive with average traffic. I decided to make the trip one day to the store to drive an hour and not be allowed to shop because I wasn’t my mom. I tried to explain & was told I needed to contact corporate.
      ———
July 11, 2024 I ordered paw patrol T-shirts for my nephews. July 19, 2024 the orders were marked delivered via FexEx but my sister Didn’t receive them. When looking into the tracking we nicked only 2/3 photos had an uploaded picture at someone else’s house. I also gave Sam’s pictures of the home/trailer not a house. I also included successfully delivered other Sam’s orders to the same address.
Sam’s was rudely adamant it was delivered when it really wasn’t. I contacted FedEx who was willing to open a case. However, they wouldn’t allow me to start. Either Sam’s had to do it or provide FedEx a note that I could open a claim. I asked many times. Sam’s refused.
Over the next few months Sam’s was still rude to me over the above issues, they refused to fix my name, they repeatedly would respond do you still want to cancel your membership, they also kept saying I didn’t respond to messages which was untrue, and if I tried to send photos to prove they claimed they couldn’t see them. I have dozens of emails to prove this.
I paid using up a gift card. At this point I don’t care so much about a refund knowing it would go back to the gift card. After months of their very poor customer support l have no desire to shop at Sam’s. Sad to think they don’t care enough about a customer to help them resolve a problem.

I recently made a purchase at Sam's Club in Columbus, OH. The cashier first asked me if I would like to renew my membership at this time. I said no thanks. As she was ringing me up, I noticed a charge of $7.72 on the screen. I believe it indicated, 'upgrade'. I asked what it was. She simply said, "Don't worry about it. I'll give you a $10 discount." Before swiping my credit card, I asked her to delete the transaction and start over to remove that line. She deleted all and re-rang my purchases. After completing the purchase, I saw the $7.72 charge on my receipt with the description, "123 Upgrade PLU". I asked her about it again and again she said I don't need to worry about it because she gave me a $10 discount on my purchase - which also appeared on the receipt. Concerned about her evasiveness, I went to Cust. Service to ask about these receipt items. I was told that I was upgraded to a $110 Plus membership from my $50 Standard membership for the remainder of my membership term - pro-rated at $7.72 and was given a $10 credit to cover the charge. She said that when my renewal comes (soon), I would be billed for the new $110 Plus fee. I told her that I do not want the Plus membership. She said that the cashier didn't do a good job of explaining it. I made it clear that it wasn't a simple matter of a poor explanation, it was more like fraud - the cashier didn't answer nor explain, even when I asked her twice. The customer service person then credited the $7.72 upgrade charge and told me she changed the membership back to Standard. I then met with the front-end manager to explain the deceit. She said that it was unacceptable and would talk with the cashier --- but I have to wonder if Sam's Club cashiers are not being rewarded for upgrading customers by any means possible - including doing so without their knowledge.

I ordered something from their website and when they sent it to me they put a requirement for an in person signature on it. The issue with that is the company they are shipping it through only comes during the work day and since I have a job I won't be home during the work day. I called both Sams and the company they shipped it with and neither would let me sign in advance. They also told the shipping company they have to try 3 times and then take it to one of their locations for me to pick up. Now I will have to wait 3 more days than I am supposed to for my package and I will have to go pick it up myself. They apparently don't understand what delivering a package to someone who paid for it is. If I paid for a package and tell you to leave it at my door that is what you should do.

May 2024 we opened a Sam’s Club account. We filled out all necessary information, which included the renewal fee to come out of our checking account, Only! Well we have not shopped at Sam’s in over a year and this May 2025 they did process our renewal fee to our checking account. However our bank flagged through security it as we haven’t shopped in a year. Therefore it wasn’t charged. So I called Sam’s to correct the situation. Upon doing so they informed me that it was paid as they used a card they had on file from the last time I shopped. WHAT!!? I proceeded to tell the that this is fraudulent, as they cannot change a card that was unauthorized for them to use! It took a lot of arguing but they finally reimbursed the money back! We. NO LONGER SHOP AT SAMS as they keep cards you shop with on file and they are performing very illegal processes !

I ordered vinyl plank flooring from Sam's Club online as it was not carried in the store. The delivery company showed up 3-4 days after they said that would on a day when I was not home. We told them this day would not work. The delivery was left in the middle of my walkway to my front door and the boxes were all falling off of the pallet with 3 of them damage with damage to the flooring. When I got home I immediately contacted Sam's and the shipping company. The shipping company returned the same day and picked up the entire order. Sam's chat service (I can not find a phone number anywhere to call them) stated that I would be refunded the approximately $1100.00 in 5-7 days. This was on April 30 2025. It is now May 29 2025 and I still have not gotten my money back. I have chatted with their representatives on 2 other occasions now and was told to give them 24-48 hours to resolve the issue and still nothing has been done. During the last chat, when I told them that it has been 30 days, they just keep telling me they need 24-48 hours. When I told them this was not good enough and that I needed the refund now, they just end the chat. I was able to contact the shipping company and in 10 minutes had the paperwork showing it was returned to Sam's on May 8 2025. Anyone that is considering ordering online from Sam's should look elsewhere. My wife went to one of the locations and a manager there said that even they will not order from Sam's online, due to poor performance and poor customer service. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I generally do most of my shopping at Costco and have never been treated this way by them or any other merchant in the past, especially when I have pictures and documentation to prove how terrible the delivery was and that the items were damaged. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SAM'S ONLINE. There online branch is terrible.

Sam's club needs to work on their customer service. I bought gas and a carwash, but no receipt printed. 3 phone calls to the store, 2 to corporate totaling an hour in time and no resolution. If you buy a carwash and the receipt doesn't print at the gas pump, be prepared to wait over an hour to get help, because the store apparently doesn't care and neither does corporate. I will be leaving Sam's and going to Costco instead when my membership expires.

They stole 100 from me. I cancelled my membership online last year but was charged anyway and did not know it. Received a notification on the mail that my membership was renewed again. ***** **! Stealing from disabled people. On top of that *** somehow got my new card info that I have never used with them.

      Sam's Club is terrible
Sam's Club is terrible. Their prices are ridiculous and the customer service is abominable. I'm talking in particular about the Boardman Sam's Club #6322, Boardman, OH, 361 South Ave Boardman, OH 44512. Those people act like they're doing you a favor for allowing you to shop there. I'm a prime member. Never tried out the delivery service so today I tried only to have after I paid a premium for delivery service part of my order canceled while the delivery person was already enroute ... So I tried and tried to call after I got the cancellation notice only to be met with the phone just hanging up after a few rings. So while I'm trying to get them on the phone to cancel the order the delivery girl shows up. I told her take it back; I'm not paying for it. You canceled the only part of the order I wanted. She threw her hands up in the air, laughed and left. I took that crap back to the store and got my money back but still no explanation as to why part of my order was canceled. And the more I asked WHY, the more rude the staff became. DON'T GO TO THIS STORE OR ANY OF THEM. *** **** **** **** *** ***** ******** *** ******

I bought a Samsung gas range, now the all knobs fell down, and I can not use it anymore. I called them, but they said it exceed 2 years, and can not return it, but it is 2 and half year, and they even can not help to fix it. So bad service, so bad product quality

Beware of Sam's Club. They talk you into applying for a credit card by offering you 30% off your purchase. But that is not the only thing they do. They tell you that you can't purchase anything on the card until you receive the card. However, if you use scan and go, which we did, they automatically apply the card to the purchase, WITHOUT TELLING YOU. We had our debit card applied to scan and go. Sam's Club automatically changed it WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION.You don't know about it until Synchrony sends you the bill. This is fraud. Because of this we will no longer shop at Sam's Club.
