I ordered a carport from a local business February eighth twenty twenty three.. I have tried contacting coast to coast carports numerous Times. sometimes they answer sometimes they call back. Sometimes I get no response at all. i have been called to have delivery scheduled And then they never set up the delivery. I have called back for updates and have been told even after it was originally scheduled to be delivered that they were still missing parts. I have continuously contacted the company and have still not even been given an estimated delivery date. the carport was ordered to use as a stall for a pony for my two-year-old daughter. And since this carport has not been delivered as promised I have of had to pay out-of-pocket to find other means of housing the Pony.

On September 2019 I placed an order from Coast To Coast Carport, Inc. for a metal carport 24'x26' to be deliver 6 to 8 weeks later. I put 10% down ($776) and the rest to be paid upon delivery and complete installation. The 8 weeks went by and no carport, excuse after excuse were given even after many calls back and forth. They finally show up on May 2020 to install the carport. Guess what? They were missing a bow, so they were not able to complete the installation. I had already delayed a vacation so they would deliver and install the carport on this date. Since they were coming from another state, they stated they would come back two weeks later when they would have another delivery close to where I live and complete the project. Two weeks later, they came and finally, I got the carport installed. I paid the remaining balance of $4491.25 as per our contract. Guess what? Three years later (June27th 2023) I get a letter from Coast To Coast demanding payment for the carport. They threatening to charge interest and send me to collections. This is unbelievable, I couldn't even make this stuff up, if it hadn't happened to me. I am a disabled Veteran and I always pay my debts and I am sure I am not going to let these scammers continue harassing me without any legal repercussions.

I am rejecting this response because:  I have no record of this business coming to do a repair back in March.  Can you provide proof of the repair you are claiming was completed back in March? Again this project was installed and completed back in May/June 2020 and paid for.  I’ll say it again the lack of your proper record keeping is not my issue.  I expect that this company will stop harassing me.

I want to apologize for the miscommunication that was given. We were able to track down the payment that was provided when the crew was missing materials for the building. We no longer have the system we were using back in 2020 and the payment never got moved over to our new system.

Bought a carport after several months cancelled it, was told I would have a refund in 90 days, 12 months later I have not received it. Multiple calls from myself and the dealer that sold it to us. We were told everytime it was in process. Contacted them a few months ago and even tried to at least get the carport. No luck on carport or money.

I am a widow of a vet who served 21 1/2 years and who was a POW 3 1/3 years of that time. I ordered a Carport March 1, 2023 from Coast to Coast Carports, Inc of Knoxville, AR through dealer, 731 Outdoor Solutions of Milan, TN. I put down payment of $277.95 cash at the time of placing the order and was told it would be delivered in two weeks. I made sure the Salesman, ****** ******* understood I do not have a checking account or credit card and would pay balance with a money order, he said no problem. Since I didn't get the carport as promised I made several calls to the Salesman and he promised to have the carport delivered.. On the morning of April 28, 2023 I got a call from **** at Coast to Coast Carport says they were coming the next day to deliver and install my carport and wanted my credit card number, I explained I don't have credit card and would pay with money order, she said they wouldn't accept money order payment. Later that day she called back and said they could accept the money order. I immediately went to the post office and got two Postal Money Orders for total of $1,134.57 and mailed to Coast to Coast Carports I received conformation they were received on May 5, 2023. When we didn't hear back from Coast to Coast about installation of carport, I called and was told that it couldn't be delivered because they didn't have a crew coming my way. So on June 7th I called again and was told the truck had not come in with the metal.

We tried getting ******* on schedule on April 28th. Our contract states that 50% of the payment is due at scheduling. We received payment from ******* on 5/5. I can request the 50% to be refunded but the down payment would have to be refunded by the dealer, if they decided too since our contract states down payments are non refundable. We would like to get ******* taken care of but we are waiting on a shipment of materials to make it to our TN location.

First let me start by we can't believe this company is still allowed to do business. We ordered a 32x35 building, not a carport, on May 25th 2022 and gave the local coast to coast carport dealer a deposit of $1971.00. We were told at that time it would be approximately 6 weeks for us to receive the building. On June 30th we were contacted by the company that they thought our building was a carport, not the truss building that was clearly noted on our order. They needed us to send them $9070.00 in order for it to be put in the manufacturing process. They received that money on July 3rd. We were told at that time there were 2 buildings ahead of us and it would take about 4 to 6 weeks and our building would be next in line. On August 12th I emailed the company to find out the status, it wasn't being manufactured yet. From that point on we emailed and called every other week to see if we could get an answer. All we got were lies and scripted answers from the csr's. We asked to talk to managers, foremen, owners, no one ever called us. This went on until October 5th, at this point we were beyond done. We contacted our dealer, she got the same run around, so we asked her to cancel the order and get our money back. Of course we got the same answer as all the other customers that have filed complaints, they would let us know in 60 - 90 days if our refund would be accepted or denied. What company stays open doing business like this? We ordered a product they clearly advertise in their catalog, it was not a special order, and they could never give us an honest answer about a manufacture date and they will determine if we get our money back!!! Don't think so! We are requesting our money back in full. The invoice # is ******.

Chase from our customer service department reached out to both numbers we have on file. She left voicemails and also sent an email to [email protected]. If you would reconsider us installing the building, we can work on getting it out you in June. The shop has one building ahead of you and then they can start yours.

This building was under warranty. I’ve had it less than a year it said it would withstand 140 miles an hour wind gusts we had 60 miles an hour, wind gust and it blew trim off and was about to take the whole roof Thursday and it’s not covered. We ask them to come put more screws into the metal there was not enough for the wind gusts in this area, I sent pictures showing that they had missed places that screws would’ve needed to have been and they’re saying now that because my husband put the piece of metal back down so we wouldn’t lose the whole roof that we violated the warranty. They had already told me they were not going to honor . All I was asking for was more screws in my roof. what I would like to say, resolved is the attaching the building more securely with screws.

In February of 2023 I gave a deposit of $676.01 for an R.V. port from "Coast to Coast Car Ports" ******, ID. The remainder of balance was to be paid after installation was complete. The morning of scheduled installation, *** (from scheduling) called to inform me that I would not get my port as I had not payed additional $2056 (1/2 of remaining balance). She claimed that it was in contract. After a couple of weeks of getting no where, I paid the $2056. The car port was eventually installed with wrong color. The crew removed the roof and returned with correct color and reinstalled the roof, but installed the port with cockeyed legs and a crooked R.V. port. The installers first claimed that it was due to the wind. They attempted to straighten it with force, but were unable to without removing the roof which tied it all together. They again removed the roof allowing them to straighten the frame, and reinstalled the roof. Only now the roof and frame was riddled with holes from prior failed installation's. I again refused to pay for it. The crew again removed the roof and returned the next day with another roof. They reinstalled thee "new" rood but still had 4 missing anchors holding the R.V. Port down, and a port that was then completely riddled with holes in frame and roof. The crew then left the job site without warning, leaving the port unproperly anchored and unfinished. After several attempts, I contacted *** and she sent out the same crew to demolish and remove the port. That was over a month ago. They refuse to refund my money, and they refuse to return my phone calls. I am now out $2732.12 and have nothing to show for it. I have reached out to *** requesting to speak with her supervisor. She refuses to transfer my calls to anyone above her, and refuses to give me any names of possible supervisors that may wish to assist me. Please help!
      Sincerely: Mr. ***** ******

      Company accepted approximately
$50,000 in down payment and fees for work to be accomplished. They have been unable to accomplish work in the timeline promised. Work was to be accomplished in 2 to 4 weeks and we are currently awaiting update after 7 weeks. They have stopped responding to my requests to refund the money. We wish to cancel this contract due to the company’s inability to accomplish the work in the time promised.

I'm sorry that you feel we are doing fraudulent business, but that is not the case. There is a process that the company goes through before the refund can be issued. I do know that it's being processed as of right now. Once I have a date to when the refund will be done, I will update.

I am rejecting this response because:

This refund has taken over one month from when you informed me it would be processed.  If this is your process it needs to be corrected and the BBB needs to be aware.  I have also filed complaints with the Attorney General and the Contractors License Board to review your credentials and practices.  We are now over 3 months in with no work performed by your company and holding over $27,000 of my money.  I will continue to pursue punitive measures from these agencies until my refund is processed.

In January of 2021 I ordered a garage from Coast to Coast Carports. I was told that it would be installed at the end of March or first part of April at the latest. Those dates came and went and was continuously promised it would be soon. Many, many, calls were placed and finally in December of 2021 a date was scheduled for installation. The property is 1 1/2 hours from where I live and I took a day off work to meet them. No show, no call and when I called the next day I was told that there was a delay and it would be a week later. The building was installed a week later and the crew was in a hurry to leave and get paid. I paid them without doing a walk around and after they left and with in a few days I saw that there had been some screw holes that were not filled, the latch on the window was broke, major gaps between the roll up doors and the building was leaking. I called Coast to Coast, sent pictures and reported my problems. In January of 2022 they stated via email the would send a crew out when they could schedule it to fix the problems. After many more calls and complaints I finally received a call in March of 2023 (yes 2023!) stating that they would be there on March 11, 2023. Once again, NO SHOW, NO CALL. I contacted them again and on March 13, 2023 they emailed me stating that they were behind and they would be there on March 15, 2023. Another 1 1/2 hour drive back and another day off work and AGAIN, NO SHOW, NO CALL!!!! I am done taking days off and want to be compensated so that I can have the work done and corrected. I will no longer take any time off to drive there to meet them. I have been very patient and accommodating and it has cost me more in lost wages than it would have to pay to have it fixed on my own. I will be filing a small claim next week for the price of the window and doors as well as lost wages if this can not be resolved by compensation. I believe $1000 would be more than fair at this point.

Coast to coast installed a shed in mid September of 2022. The roof trusses were cut 2 inches short on one side of the shed causing a gap along the entire length on that side of the shed. I contacted the company explaining the problem and they approved the repair in October but have not contacted me with a repair date. I have called them several times and they keep blowing me off. I have sent several emails and they will not respond. I think 4 months is plenty of time for them so make the necessary repairs.

I have spoken with the scheduling manager regarding the repair. she is working with the shop and is hoping to have a repair date soon.
