      I saw an Ophthalmologist at Banner on ****************************************************** On Feb 1, 2023 the billing Department did not bill my second insurance with the right codes and the remainder of the bill was not paid. I called my second insurance and they said Banner used a student code - I was not examined by a student - Student was only watching - I received a bill for the remainder and called the billing department and they are doing a code review. This company used to be University Medical before Banner took over and ruined it. Watch out this Company makes many billing mistakes - look at the billing reviews.

      ***** admin said 26 people waiting on a bed for treatment my mother has waited 4 days in ER at another hospital waiting on a bed to get seen to determine her cause of pain. Its been 4 days of them giving her high dose medication without knowing reason for treatment.

      Like others I have had a horrible time with the billing at banner. They sent someone in to charge me AS I was in the middle of contractions in labor. I paid in FULL at that time. Although they took my money and put it to my account they never applied it to my bills. Made no sense. Took multiple calls and they said it was figured out. Guess what, it wasn't. I got a check in the mail refunding what I had paid originally, still none of it was used to pay my fricken bill. I had to deposit the check and pay again through the online portal. My friend had her baby there recently and she is also going through a nightmare with their billing department who sent her account to collections after 1 month if not paying which she didn't pay because they were supposed to put a stop on her account until they rebilled her insurance that was billed wrong. Their billing department is a joke.

      Schedule an appointment online and waited 1.5 hours until I finally asked when I would be seen. Arent the online appointments there for a reason? So you have priority over walking? The front desk staff took ******************************* I was never notified of the extended wait I could experience. Then I found out that the staff was on lunch at the time their online system let me book an appointment. Horrible service.

      Banner Health in ****** has great doctors and provides excellent treatment. The billing department, on the other hand, is terrible. In particular I want to complain about an inappropriate business practice.Apparently, Banner over charged me at one of the clinics. Apparently when this happens, Banner makes a deal with **** of America to give the patient a debit **** card with the amount owed to me on the card. I do not want another financial card. An insert in the envelop from Banner/**** of America indicates that if you prefer you can receive a check by requesting it at the phone number indicated. The number takes you to a **** of America employee who only knows how to activate the card (and was rude in addition). I called Banner Billing. Unresolved. Forwarded to a higher manager in Banner Billing. Unresolved. She got **** of America on a 3-way phone call, but this **** of America person was unable to get the check cut and because their system was down. Sent to a higher manager in **** of America. She claimed I would get a check in ***** business days. The real complaint is with Banner Health. THEY should send me a check. I think it is irresponsible for them to cut deals with **** of America to enable them to get more people to carry their card. I do not want another debit card.

      Banner healthcare have the worst customer service when it comes to calling on the phone line they have you on hold for over 30 minutes when it says go to the website and book an appointment online it says call so when you call the individual doctor's ****** your own hold for ***** minutes or they never answe r if you are fortunate to get an appointment some of the front ****** personnel are very rude the doctors seem to be okay once you get back to them

      Terrible hospital! I had an emergency appendectomy in ****** and arrived at Banner three days later with a spreading abdominal infection. The waiting room was packed (with what looked like a lot of street people, some sleeping on the chairs wrapped in blankets) and I would have had to wait all night to be seen. I left a urine sample and blood samples at check-in, but the triage nurse failed to recognize the infection spreading across my abdomen. She could not estimate the time until I would be seen so I left and they said I could obtain the results of lab work the following day. I could NOT obtain results the following day. I got on the road early heading toward home (in **********). My hospital immediately recognized the infection and I was admitted right away, and kept for 4 days fighting off the infection. Banner later contacted me and wanted payment for the lab work. They were an in-network hospital with my insurance and my insurance payed them $657 of their $830 bill, but they wanted me to pay the $130 difference for info I was not allowed access to. Terrible hospital, terrible experience there, go elsewhere.

      I am adding my thoughts and encounters with Banners ******************* They are truly incompetent. This is not the first time I have had to deal with them. I blame management because I worked in a healthcare billing department and the quality of service and honest business practices we offered were impeccable. That was then, now is now. I truly believe that Banner exhibits fraudulent billing because of excessive overcharging and the lack of consistency and possibly poor training on the part of their coders. Mistakes are not caught therefore patients who are not well and do not want to deal with the bureaucracy, just pay their balance. I avoid Banner as often as I can. Many years ago, they accused questionable business practices. Supposedly they have cleaned up their act, but with my experience with them, I think it is still going on.

      After sitting in the waiting room for 9 hours and never seeing a doctor I was treated very poorly.......and the employees were very rude and inconsiderate. I was just another number to them and didn't feel important at all.
