    My employer has not been paid in weeks! It is sad for her and her family. They have to eat! What if they didnt get paid when they were expected to! She helps me cares for a special needs orphan. It is so sad they way we have been treated. On hold for hours and no response to emails.

    I am the caregiver for both my disabled brother and mother. This company took over payroll from another company and I've yet to see my paycheck. I'm owed money for service between 12/23/23-12/29/23 and I can't get anyone on the phone to get any information as to why I haven't received my pay. Was told to submit time sheets to them by 1/5/24 for payment on the 12th and still didn't receive it. Was also told by my mother's case manager that it could be Tuesday which is today and still haven't received anything. When calling you're on hold listening to the same recording saying how they know your call is important and that next available representative will assist as soon as possible but they never answer the phone or return the call. So that tells me it's not important to them. I have bills just like they do but I'm sure they are getting their paychecks in a timely manner and on-time like they are supposed to. I don't know what to do at this point to even receive pay for time I've worked. I'm supposed to be paid on the 19th but I'm having a hard time believing I'll receive that when I still havent recieved pay from December. If I could give this company negative stars it would be -10. Run, do walk away from this company!

Please note the pay week is Sunday through Saturday, and the next scheduled pay date is January 26th. We are experiencing high call volume through this transition period, but will remain committed to contacting all callers, and have a team working weekends to ensure we are able to call back anyone who has left us a voicemail or requested a call back.

    I have been calling for days, i am still waiting on my second half of pay from before Christmas. I am a single mom who works my **** off to provide for my daughter. At this point withholding pay is cruel. I have never been in such a desperate situation before. I need my pay check.

    Acumen Fiscal Agent has consistently acted in bad faith by not releasing my out of pocket ******** reimbursements. They have been reported to the state over and over and at this point, if I dont have these funds (over $500) paid to me by the end of the year, I will be seeking legal representation. They have caused me great harm by withholding these payments. The company has lost information, has had to require things to be resubmitted, doesnt return phone calls, and mismanaged my case. My question is, how much interest do they accrue and benefit from on the backs of disabled people while they withhold our funds? This company has so many negative reviews I dont know why any state would contract with them. Due to their negligence and consistently operating in bad faith, I have had repeated financial crises and they are a direct barrier to my ability to receive consistent services. Their actions flat out cause harm to people with disabilities. They already have a class action against them. I hope more people follow suit. *********************************************************************************************************************

We came to learn that the payment had been placed on hold due to an unforeseen issue with the authorization. However, we have spoken with the State and together we have been able to resolve the problem. The payment has been submitted for processing.     A lot of people leaving reviews are caretakers who love their occupation. We work hard to provide services to special needs clients and/or the elderly of our community. The least acumen could do is pay on time and not reverse checks because of an error on their behalf. Then when you try to get answers for anything it's a dead end, you won't ever get to speak with a supervisor it's always costumer service. **************** is the middle man when it comes to communication and it's not always accurate because you're not talking to the source. I was told I was overpaid but no one emailed me or let me know anything, they put some of the money back but no explanation on the other half. They had customer service tell me it was an overpayment with no other context, and I can't even reference my paystubs because they are being sent to another employees email instead of mine! So acumen goes in and out my account taking and putting back where they see fit because someone messed up . The kicker is they waited to do this during the holidays and put my account in the negatives while I was Christmas shopping for my children. This is shameful, I'm a a veteran that relies on this income and this is what you choose to do. Acumen knew they couldn't handle the number or employees that came from GT independence, it's the only payroll company in my area so they have a monopoly in **************. Acumen got greedy and this is the result, they are backed up and as a result ppl suffer. I'd also like to add that it took over a month for me to get paid because this company did not put in the right email, my employer called for weeks and finally after a month someone noticed. The email clearly was kicked back because it was missing one letter but no one cared to check. They don't care because at the end of the day they are their checks and bonuses while the rest of us starve. Gross negligence, I'm seeing a lawsuit in their future.

    I have a son with a disability and the Acumen person in charge of his account is a joke. She called to let me know that Acumen would no longer pay my employees as according to her we had exceed our yearly budget. I got in touch with my **** consultant immediately and discover that the employee on acumen had miscalculated everything, was not respecting the **** rules (flexing time if necessary) and had no right to stop payment on anything. After months of sorting everything back in track, or so I thought, they decided to change their codes from SPDPC to PC-u and forgot to carry the balance, so again they are saying there is no budget. I contacted the state and we started the change on agency. If you have a choice, do not go with this organization.

    I haven't been paid for 4 weeks and i signed up for direct deposit. Now they are telling me i have to wait another week for a paycheck to be mailed to me. I didn't sign up for a paycheck!!! The direct deposit is set up but i got to wait now for 5 weeks to get paid. I owe last month bills and now this month! How do they expect me to live ? I got to eat ! I got to pay my truck insurance! I got to put gas in my truck to go help the guy I'm helping! I got to pay my bills! So when I do actually get paid it will be only for 2 weeks after working 5 weeks! So my 1st paycheck is gone before I even get it! Then got to work 2 more weeks and that paycheck will be gone before I get it! Never in my life have i been treated so horrible! NEVER!!! This is the absolute worst company ever! Run while you can! RUN!

    I would like to give this company a negative 5, not a zero but a Negative. We have children that are disabled and this company has a contract to handle those payments and renewals. Well the insurance company does there part. I the employer does my part filling out any necessary forms. The problem is you better call and stay on it right then because if you just send in a form no one is there to collect and enter them. So its a waste of time unless you know the exact date and time it was sent so they can dig it up and then enter it. But Nothing! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is done with any forms that are just sent in that THEY REQUESTED!!! Ive emailed the *** *****************-No RESPONSE! He is just collecting a check while my provider went unpaid for 3 months and I had to pay out of pocket getting behind on my bills, for a form that they always had! I have the emails to prove every word! We still have not been compensated! This company sucks! It has no ethics to work by whatsoever!

    The absolute worst! Not even deserving of 1 star. One of my employees should have been paid on 9/8 and it's now 9/20, she still has not been paid. ******** calls made, by her and me. Customer service refuses to let me talk to payroll or a supervisor! I will be taking this further! This is who the *********** has chosen to handle their payroll for personal assistants to the developmentally disabled clients? How can we expect to keep good employees if the fiscal agent doesn't do the job they are paid to do to ensure that payroll is met?

    I have been very dissatisfied with Acumen and would strongly suggest not working with them if you have any choice. Acumen has refused to pay attendants for work completed in spite of the ** ********** of ****** and ***** Services informing them directly that they are REQUIRED to do so during any budget remand period. They have lost previously submitted paperwork on currents attendant employees and asked that we re-do them twice! They have also asked for and lost paperwork on my son's designated representative three times. Calls and emails are frequently not returned in a timely manner or not at all. The electronic application we were told to use for CDS CLASS attendants simply does not work. When I U.S. mailed a completed application instead it was never found within the company. We then had to redo the roughly 40 page application for the 3rd time and resend to Acumen via email 3x before it was received and processed. The electronic verification system (EVV) for attendant payment does not work consistently and often incorrectly gives error messages regarding geolocation. The website is cumbersome and difficult to navigate. Employee address changes and employment status are not updated even after forms are submitted repeatedly. One customer service ******************** was disrespectful, unhelpful and just plain rude. Honestly, Acumen is one of the worst, most inefficient, poorly organized companies I have ever interacted with.

    Acumen Fiscal Agent takes concerns from employers of record extremely seriously and we are continually looking for ways to improve our services. We have recently put in place a means to request documentation and signatures electronically from employers and employees and strongly encourage this method as it lessens the amount of time it takes to send and receive documentation or corrections between parties. Our agents are required to return phone calls and emails from clients and employers within 2 business days of the time they were received. We ask that any form changes are being submitted to enrollment-******************************* rather than to a specific person so that we can ensure updates are made, even if the intended person is out of the office. This mailbox is monitored daily and tasks are assigned to the appropriate person to complete in a timely manner. We appreciate the feedback provided so we can continue to look for ways to make processes flow more smoothly for the people and families we support.
