1 starThis company is a scam and falsely advertises. I purchased insurance for my tickets upon believing they would give "100% refund" due to "bad weather". Only when I applied for the refund, the ridiculous options led to providing documentation. When I provided the proof from the ************* they said my refund was voided due to the event closing/cancelling. Mind you they closed due to "bad weather", closed for our safety. Which they said when advertising, they would cover for bad weather. No where on the payment site does it warn you no refunds for cancelation or event closing. Which again events will do for bad weather, severe weather for safety reasons. You don't discover this loop hole until you apply for the refund. I'd leave zero stars if I could.********* uses this company to protect purchases. It is nothing but a scam. It doesn't cover the cost of the ticket and it covers virtually nothing. BUT, you don't know that until after you purchase the protection. I tried several times to get a refund to no avail. I reached out but they won't respond until three days - after the ***** period for cancellation, of course. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!Protecht Inc

I purchased a ticket for a Cabana for 150 for hurricane harbor. In order to protect my purchase I also purchased the protection in the event that some issue would happen. The day of it was raining windy and cold. I reached out to explain my issue but due to apparently not having sufficient proof that the weather was bad they denied my refund. As a single mother this is a lot of money lost and it was alsonmy sons birthday weekend. This company should be ashamed of theirselves and having a protection plan ther doesnt actually protect anything! Terrible service and experience.Protecht Inc

This company is a total scam and should not be in business. If I could put 0 stars, I would. I purchased protection for a half-marathon event and almost two months later my dad passed away. I provided documentation but because his passing did not occur exactly 30 days before the half-marathon, they denied my request. He was buried 1 month and 9 days before the half marathon. Who in their right mind should be forced to keep a ticket to a half marathon they will not be able to run for obvious reasons? It is not even about the money, it is the lack of total empathy and understanding of human situations. Will ***** purchase anything from them again.Protecht Inc

FanShieldwould nothonourmy claim as itwasntone of their official reasons for paying out. My situation was a deeply hurtful family situation but thatdidntmatter to them.Also, it took FanShield two full weeks to contact me. (I did speak to a frontline customer service woman, twice, and bless hersoulshehas a difficult job.)Save your money or look for somebody else. Hazardous road conditions prevented me from going to a concert on 2/28/2025. I paid extra to have this protection as it's winter in *********. Even with providing proof that the roads were Hazardous, car in ditches, cars that were on there roof and all smashed, Fire/EMS/Police on scene and a whiteout in front of me could barely see the car in front of me. They said that's not enough proof that it was Hazardous road conditions! This outfit JUST STEALS YOUR MONEY!!!Protecht Inc

Purchased the protection for a 20-mile hike and it is a complete scam. I had all proper documentation including a note from my doctor that they were against me doing the hike since I have not been able to train due to being sick and it was denied. My doctor office actually told me that it is a HIPAA violation for them to even question a doctor's note. They wrote me a stronger note as to why I could not do it and just a few days after being denied, my ticket had been sold and no longer eligible to even submit my refund request. Listen to the reviews below. I used their FanShield ticket protection for *********** tickets at ************ on New Year's Eve. However we were unable to attend the activity due to severe weather on the day which park employees suggested was dangerous. I am unable to claim reimbursement because I need to present documentation of the severe weather event. This type of "coverage" is a misleading scam and I'm going to make sure other amusement park attendees avoid this "service" moving forward.Protecht Inc

Bought protection for tickets to *********. I came down with the flu and had to post pone the trip. My husband was then put on mandatory shut down for a plant in ** that had to have repairs done and this company will not refund our money. They said because he wasn't traveling it didn't count. He is traveling, traveling to his job to work 7 days a week 10 to 12 hours days until after January 6, 2025 when the shuttle down will be over. By reading what they will cover? It looks like if your not in the military, you don't count. DONT waste your money!!Protecht Inc

Requested a refund, and initially it seemed as if they process would be a quick and smooth one. They asked for documentation, which I provided as to why we could no longer attend the event. Then I received an email saying I could pick between my refund arriving via ******, Venmo, bank account may have been another option. I choose Venmo. I received an email saying Ticket Guardian had processed my refund and to click this button to Accept Disbursement. The link took me to the Venmo sign in page. I tried on my cell via the app, on the web browser on my phone, and on a laptop. There wasn't a single option where after I signed in there was somewhere for me to accept the disbursement. It's been over a week and I still have yet to get a response from anyone from both Venmo and Protecht. I'm only directed to AI bots or pre-recorded messaging that does not have an option for what I am requesting. It is ridiculous how many hoops I've had to jump through! And I STILL have spoken to a person yet!Protecht Inc

**Update: FanShield reached out and provided a contact number for Hyperwallet to assist with the reimbursement. The Hyperwallet team was able to connect me with Venmo (my elected reimbursement option) and it turns out the reason things did not disperse is because my email address had apparently not been verified. The ***** agent helped me verify my email, and the second that happened my payment appeared!I have 3 comments.First, after a FanShield *** reached out, everyone was so helpful! Across the board, from them to Hyperwallet, to venmo.Second, my initial experience contacting Venmo was not a good experience (prior to the agent connecting me to them). I didn't have any luck getting ahold of an actual person until I was assisted via a different company. While speaking about *****, there was also no email or notification that I received saying that an email verification was needed. It was awesome that that's what solved everything, but also a little frustrating that that was the only thing holding the payment back. An email saying it needed verified could have 100% changed my experience.Third and final comment, the amount of companies involved with this was wild. FanShield connected with ProTecht who connect with Hyperwallet to connect with Venmo to receive a transaction reimbursement from TicketGuardian. If Protecht isn't where this review should be, I apologize, there were a lot of companies in the mix for this one transaction.
