      We had service this past weekend for a new spring for our garage door. they showed us two springs with a 200 dollar difference. They install it and then look at our door for an integrity test. they find we need a new door and quote us $4600 with no payment that day and that the spring was included in the price of the door. Next day we receive a call stating we need to pay for the spring and the door price doesn't include the spring price. We then have another garage door repair company come out and state that the same spring that we had installed was quoted by A1 for a lesser price and the door was double in price. This new company stated that A1 has a tendency to do this. When my wife called to question the price she was told by an employee that "promises aren't always kept". We can see that now and will be avoiding A1 garage door services.

      I have 2 new garage doors that are less than 2years old. I decided to try A1 garage door because of the tune up special. The tech was very personable, but it felt like more of a sales visit instead of service call. I have good quality insulated doors, but it was suggested the insulation should be higher. The other up sell were replacing the wheels, the hinges, the springs and to sign up for an annual service and pay now to get the 10 percent discount. Also charging a $40 trip fee which I found out from customer ********************** that is suppose to be waived if receiving service which I was with the tune up. The tech had me look at the springs in his truck and the estimate for the wheels and springs was near $2000 and that did not include the hinges. I said my garage door is new and I only want to tune up my garage at this time. I've never had any problems with my garage except for an occasional power trip due to weather, but that is easy to reset. My garage was working fine for 1 week. 2 days ago my door an error message on ************************ wall mount with a code of 3.5 which is cable tension monitor problem and did not close. I called ********** to trouble shoot the code. The agent said the door must be reset every time when getting a tune up and referred me to contact A1 to for the situation. This happened during a big winter storm with a lot of snow. I had to park outside of my garage.A1 came to service the problem today. The new tech was a nice gentleman also. We went over the details of the 1st appointment. The problem was called a hung garage and will be $280 for the repair until finding the reason for the malfunction to see if it may be a warranty call. I called the service who installed the garage to comparison price and their estimate for the hung garage was $199. I asked the tech if he could price match the$199 price before doing the repair. His supervisor did not authorize the price match. My mistake for trying to save with a special.

      Had our belt wear out over New Year- called the Garage Door Guy and he had Mason out next day! Would have been soon but I had to work. Mason was on time, professional, efficient and very professional. Would recommend ! A+

      Bad service. I keep seeing the local commercial on TV and every time he talks about a family business and how they care about service I get mad. Had them here I believe in February 2023 ending up paying over $1000. Then within 6 months had problems and were charged again to get it fixed. Both times I asked for receipts and both times were told when they got back to the office they would have a receipt sent. So for two services for probably about $1200 or more and I have no receipts and no written anything about the warranty on the service that was done. I was shocked when we had to have them back out within 6 months of the original very expensive work and was charged for it. So beware. The owner can act ask if he really cares, but you can't prove it by me

      Wish I could give 0 stars. They are scammers. They will try to get you to sign up to their monthly service so they can give you an additional 10% discount over their over inflated prices. They quoted us 6k to replace our garage door and said it would take several days. We found someone else who fixed it for under $200 within an hour.

      Wow! Reading these reviews in addition to my own personal experience, its obvious A1 Garage Door Service DOES IN FACT PREY on seniors and women who might not know not have researched what it costs to replace garage door springs or other simple repairs. Its obvious the business tactic is to advertise a cheap tuneup special and then upsale other services. They quoted me a $40 trip charge, which wasnt disclosed beforehand so I didnt pay it, a $169 service charge and $941 for two ordinary torsion springs. A couple of springs probably cost them $150 maximum. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY until they change their ways!!!

      On December 1, 2023 A1 Garage Door Service replaced and installed a Garage Door System. The original garage door was not replaced. The total bill paid was over $2,700.We later found out the cost for installing a Garage Door System is $400 to $500.. Based upon this information we should receive a significant refund.

      Cant be trusted. Quoted me a good price so I decided to go with the company. I wanted to save money so decided to purchase an opener from ********** and was told installation is already included with the quote that they gave me. After installation and everything they are trying to charge me for installation which is more than what we agreed and signed on. If youre thinking about this company, think twice. Theres a lot of garage companies out there so look elsewhere. ????
