1 starOur salesman **** was nice, gave us a big spiel about why they are more expensive and why we should never use a moving broker. They sent us a contract to sign, we paid the deposit, and then they pretty much disappeared. Our moving coordinator ****** was incompetent and rude. The drivers were supposed to call us the day before pickup to confirm but didnt. We emailed ****** and he assured us he would ask the driver to contact us right away. Heard nothing. Called back the next day, emailed ****** again. Got nothing. Called into their customer service number to see if were even still on for the move. Lady told us the crew hasnt left the warehouse yet but will call you when they leave so you can meet them at the storage unit. Crickets. An hour later we get a call from the original salesman that our crew is waiting for us at the unit and they apparently couldnt get a hold of us because they didnt have the right number. As in. the number youre calling me on right now?!? 3 young guys loaded the van, pretty efficient, done in an hour. Our delivery window in **** was 7 days, the emailed and scheduled for the 3rd. We take a day off and wait nothing. Emailed ****** again to confirm and get told we had some unexpected delays over the weekend and now your delivery will be the 5th. Then. We get a call from our actual delivery driver the morning of the 4th that he is in ******* with our load and on his way to ****. ****** dropped off the face of the earth of course. We had to drop everything and scramble to meet the movers at the house. They start unloading and none of our stuff was packaged as promised. Broken arm chair, broken floor lamp, 6 broken TVs , boxes all dented and dashed in, Worst of all was that our pair of brand new white couches were not shrink-wrapped properly before being wrapped in dirty moving blankets and got completely trashed: black grease stains all over and the arm fabric was torn. We sustained probably over $2000 worth of damage.Review fromLori G

5 starsMuscular Moving Men was extremely diligent and made our cross country move from ********** to ******* much easier. Our movers led by **** F were extremely helpful and made every effort for sn easy transition. They communicated with us every step of the way. Even arrived earlier than expected! 5 starsMuscular Moving men did a fantastic job with our move. From the quoting process leading up to the move itself! They were very communicative, organized, and careful with all of our items. The quoting process was very easy and they were mindful to ensure we were not paying for anything unnecessary. I will definitely be using them again for any future moves.Review fromAnne H

1 starMixed reviews for this company and will not use again. I chose the company because they included shuttles in the estimate. They said that other companies would not include shuttles, then would overcharge. My driver only used one shuttle, so I ended up paying $900 for nothing. The client pays whether drivers need the shuttles or not. I thought the company was being transparent and fair, but they ended up overcharging me. Communications were a challenge during the move as well, with different information given by the driver and two different managers about the delivery date. Nice people, bad service.Review fromSunny D

If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is a nightmare! They completely failed to deliver on time, and to make matters worse, they only delivered half of my belongings. The other half was sent to a different state (*******), and I'm still waiting for it to show up on 8/20.When they finally delivered part of my stuff on 8/10, it was in terrible condition. Items were broken, the ** wasn't even packed in a box instead was padded and several pieces of furniture were missing and damaged (broken boxes, luggage, plants pots, tables, drawers, etc.). The level of care was absolutely appalling. I've tried speaking with the Operations Manager, **************, and the General Manager, ************, but neither has had the decency to return my calls. Instead, they advised me to use their laughable insurance policy of $0.60 per pound. This is a complete joke, especially since half of my items are still missing! Moreover they even forgot to get signature on the order of service at the time of pickup. After numerous attempts, got hold of the general manager (************) and now he was asking me to sign the order of service to get compensation. After this I emailed the owner of the company ************** and lets see if he HOLDS his team accountable and compensate for the damages or will he still ask me to sign the contract to proceed with compensation. This request appears to be an attempt to cover companys failure to follow proper procedure, and I am concerned about the implications of signing this document now, especially in terms of compensation.Moreover, I was assured by the driver (*****) that I would not be charged in full due to the delay and incomplete delivery and also by the sales person (*****) whom I spoke first that my credit card will not be charged instead they take cash or zelle. Despite this, my credit card was charged for the entire amount. This company is nothing but a scam. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from these crooks. 1 star*** moved across country 3 times and this by far has been the worst experience Ive ever had. Lack of communication has been the worst part of the experience. They almost never responded to our calls, texts or emails. A week before pickup, we received an email saying our pick up window was pushed back by a week. This caused major issues, such as needing to change our flights and car shipment date and living uncomfortably with our two young children, as most of our stuff was packed. Our rep sent 3 separate agreements with different pick up and delivery windows and incorrect addresses. From the time we signed on with them to this point, we called countless times with questions and concerns and we rarely received calls back. On our pickup day, the movers were vaping in the house. We were told by the driver that instead of a delivery date of 8/22, it would be no earlier than 8/30. My family has been in our new home for 3 weeks without beds, a kitchen table (or any furniture), or anything that we didnt buy upon arrival to make our place barely livable. The delivery date has been delayed many times and we still do not know if the new delivery date (of tomorrow) will be honored, Ive had a few conversations with our rep, received management resulting in broken promises and zero empathy. These past few weeks have cost us thousands of dollars and so much anxiety and stress on top of the normal stress of moving our family across the country and our young children starting school. After countless complaints, we received a $500 discount, which needless to say didnt even come close to what we had to pay to make travel changes and live in our bare apartment. Their billing department demanded we pay in full without any other communication, like a confirmation of delivery date or time. We are still awaiting communication regarding where our shipment is and when they will arrive.Review fromCory A

WALK AWAY. UNETHICAL BUSINESS.This company will quote your move over the phone at a super cheap price to get you to say yes. Once they are awarded the job, let the games begin... Expect your price to increase dramatically when they show up on the day of your move, and again once they are finished. For reference our move went from $2K to $7K.We hired Muscular Moving Men because their price was thousands less than the competition, and they were referred by our realtor, so we figured it was a wise play. When the moving team showed up, they said our original quote was only for moving the kitchen (What?!) and not the rest of our 3 bed/2 bath, ***** sq ft house - which was clearly mentioned on the phone at the time of quoting. They called their office who increased our price by a few thousand dollars on the spot. Since it was the day of the move and we had a schedule to keep, we agreed to the price more than DOUBLING. But wait, it gets worse. Once the move was complete they demanded more money because it required more boxes than they anticipated. All in all, our price went up twice DURING the move from $***** to $7,000. Office staff were not helpful in seeking resolution - I would describe them as customer-last and hostile.The ********************** team themselves were nice guys. After doing a lot of research,I felt that they were a good company to hire for a long distance move from ******* to **********,**. ***** came to my condo and we went over everything and I felt it was a fair price. They loaded on Monday February 19 th and was told the delivery date would be between February 26 and March 1 st. Well the truck broke down in ******* and because they had to get another truck,half of my things wouldnt fit on the new truck! Now we were not told this until the driver arrived on March 1 st and after unloading half our things,we had no beds only a mattress,no tvs and other assorted things .Because I had just had knee replacement three months earlier,there was no way I could get on or off the floor mattress! So we ran out and bought a twin bed for me to sleep on. They finally delivered the rest on March 11 ,so that was 22 days they had our things! The worst part is that NO ONE from the office would ever talk to me or call me back! No communication at all! I finally spoke to a lady who told me they would pay me for the bed I had to buy and didnt need and I did just receive the check for that! It was almost a month of dealing with this,and no one would ever return my calls! Very upsetting and I would not recommend using them.Muscular Moving Men & Storage

We recently moved a household from ********, ** to ***********, **. We selected MMM for the move. They were great at communicating throughout the process. When the day of the move arrived, I received a call from the office as well as a text from the driver informing me of their arrival time. The driver, *****, was wonderful. He was very professional, personable and knowledgable!His two helpers, ***** and **** were also personable, respectful of our belongings, and hard working. It was a real pleasure to have them moving us during what could be a frustrating and emotional time. Our shipment arrived in ** at the appointed time and was unloaded in to storage without any issues. Again, I can not say enough good things about the driver, ***** and his crew!
