My car was towed on 3/24 around 7pm. The tow company claimed it had an expired parking plate parked in handicapped parking. However, the one we have is permanent one. To even verify I called *** and spoke to agent and she said if you have the blue one it is permanent and ref one is temporary. She even stated that the car should have never been towed in first place bc they no longer add expiration date as long as you blue one it is permanent. I tried to explain this to lady but she kept saying no and I was able to get my car back however they made me sign papers and I owe a fee due by 3/31 or they will take me to court. I emailed them several times telling them they wrong fully towed my car but no response at all. I ever called and still they dont want to talk to me. At this point I dont know what to do. Please assist.Initial Complaint

On January 7th, my vehicle was towed by Kwik Tow. When I went to pick it up the vehicle on January 8th, I immediately noticed that there was damage to the top of my vehicle, and I was instructed my the woman who released my vehicle to call their office to be put in touch with their claims department. On January 11th I contacted their office to notify them of my issue, and did not hear back until I called again on January 17th. The company had someone call me back that day requesting pictures, which I sent them immediately. They zoomed in on a small rust spot and told me that was the reason for the damage, refusing to take further action and claiming the vehicle was damaged prior to the tow. However, there was no damage to this area prior and they left a massive crack to the plastic component of the car, which clearly has nothing to do with a small rust spot. The entire top bar of the vehicle has popped out of place and cannot be popped back in bc the plastic piece that locks it in place was broken. The bar now hangs by wires onto my rear windows. I have uploaded pictures with time stamps of when I picked up the vehicle and noticed the damage in the tow yard, and the conversation of Kwik Tow dismissing my claims based off a small unrelated rust spot.Initial Complaint

My vehicle was towed on 01/24 after being improperly tagged on 01/21. I have been sent back and forth between this company and my leasing office, with both parties shifting blame. The tag listed the reason for towing as the vehicle being stored and inoperable. However, the vehicle was driven just two days prior, and I can obtain camera footage proving that these claims are false. Given that the tag was issued under incorrect pretenses, the vehicle should not have been tagged, towed, or subject to any associated charges. After reaching out to the owner of the towing company to try to resolve this issue, he responded saying there were numerous stickers on my car and that the car had a flat tire. Both of these statements are lies, and I have video evidence from when I picked it up from the impound lot showing both of his statements to be false.Initial Complaint

Vehicle was towed by **** tow towing and impounds on 12-13-24 without notice in the middle of the night not long after i got back to the apartment and had parked my vehicle and gone to sleep. I was informed of 2 different reasons as to why my vehicle was illegally towed. 1st reason was that it was an abandoned vehicle. Then i was informed it was because the parking space tag was not properly displayed. Either they lied to me the first time or they lied to me the second time and used photos to cover their butts after breaking into my vehicle. I have not removed the parking space tag from it's location above the center dash on the rear view mirror since the day i hung it there after receipt of the item from the office staff when i first moved into the apartment.Someone took photos i am assuming after getting into the vehicle, removed the parking space tag, tossed it on the floor of the passenger side, covered it with napkins and then promptly contacted the manager of the apartment complex i live at to have my vehicle towed off the property just to charge me an impound fee to get my vehicle returned. I no longer see any resolution happening at this point other than civil litigation since the property manager has decided to take the side of the tow service. I have barely been in this apartment for a month and made certain both the move in and second month was paid on time. I believed they would value tenants that stay in good standing with rent. Apparently, they would rather find ways to rob money from people using legal methods and a tow company to hide behind. I have since discovered several reviews about their company with similar complaints of illegal towing just within the last year alone. They are using shady business practices to extort money out of people.Initial Complaint

First look at these unprofessional messages by the owner look at his unprofessional reply proving me even more right. Imagine saying the 2 damaged tires were from a tow a year ago lmao. Imagine saying that I've been driving a vehicle with a door that can't close and claiming it happened before this owner apparently towed my vehicle a year. Shame on you for being a thief. The attorney general will have fun with this. This tow company should be closed down for theft. My car was towed 2 hours into moving into my apartment parked legally in my parking spot I pay for while I was actively moving things out of my vehicle to my apartment. they decided to quickly tow my vehicle during one of the trips from moving a box to my apartment. This quick tow they tried to do damaged my vehicle my car door won't close now and I had 1 punctured rim and 2 flat tires. I received an apologized by my apartment but did nothing. The tow company damaged my vehicle and it was non drivable. i had to start a go fund me and get help by the Veteran Affairs to get my vehicle back and tow it back to the apartment. I had to tow my vehicle back to my apartment due to this damage when I realizing both my tires were flat when I left the tow yard. When I told the tow company this damage happened they refused to give me insurance info which i will leave at the bottom showing the owner is terrible human being. While I have an active insurance claim against the *********** and the apartment knowing that there is active claim and that the car was towed to the apartment waiting for the tow company insurance to fix this for damages they did towing my vehicle from my paid parking the day i moved in. The *********** decided to tow it again from my apartment where I pay for parking the day after my insurance called the manager to receive insurance information. The was towed bc of the damaged from what the tow company did to my vehicle. They again wont help and making it impossible for me to get my vehicle back.Initial Complaint

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a formal complaint against Kwik Tow regarding an unlawful towing charge I received on 09-18-2024. My vehicle was towed from a private property in *******, *******, and I was charged $160 for the tow. However, according to Phoenix City Code, Sec. ******, the maximum allowable fee for a tow from private property without the owners express permission is $105, including all related services. The relevant law clearly states:Subsection C: The total charge for towing a vehicle from private property without express permission shall not exceed $105.Subsection G: Any towing company charging a fee in excess of this amount is in violation of the law and must forfeit their claim to the fee.Despite this, Kwik Tow charged me $160, which exceeds the legal limit by $55. When I contacted the company to let them know about the amount and the law, they refused to comply and stated that there was no law.I am requesting the Better Business Bureau to assist in resolving this matter and urge the towing company to comply with Phoenix City Code, refund the unlawful charge, and improve their business practices to prevent similar issues for other consumers in the future. Please let me know if you need any additional information to proceed with this complaint.Thank you for your assistance.Sincerely,****** ******Initial Complaint

I got my car towed on the 7/8/2024. I picked up on the 9th and payed the amount of $163. I checked for damage and they had damaged the undercarriage plastics of my car. Next I got in contact with them. I reached out to the owner *****. He assured me they had ordered parts and would notify me once they were ready. I reached out on July 20th. He responded with an address on the 24th and told me I could go in for repair to ***********************************************. I get there the following Friday and they told me they were never notified. Till this day I still have no response from any of the personnel. All I want is my car to get fixed.
