This Company advertises on their website and in person that you can pay as low as $9.99. They only opened on February 1, 2025. Instead, they have charged me $155.99. I went to see them for my 1st session on Friday, Feb 7, 2025. They wanted me to sign a contract for $500 in training sessions. When I complained they told me the manager was out until Monday. I told them I wanted to cancel. They told me that they would charge me no matter what, as they had my bank information and Debit card. I changed my bank on Saturday, but they kept their promise and charged my Debit card for $68, yesterday the ********* is the bait $9,99 a month, when you get there they want to hook you for $500 more. How I got from $9,99 to $68 a month I do not understand. If you look at their website their prices are: $29.99, $22.99 and $9.99.I am a senior citizen, just got on ******** and now I got ripped off by these unscrupulous people. They are predatory and ruthless.I am shocked and ashamed by what they did and even after I told them I was leaving, they went ahead and charged me an additional $68.Predators.I am now receiving collection letters for over $200.00. They will not stop.I am the victim of a Bait and Switch Scheme. The $9.99 Deal is on their website for the world to see and fall for.Business Response

They still bill you after you request to cancel. Dont give them your bank info, as they will never cancel drafts! I cancelled at their facility before my 30 days trial with their on site rep. I was told it would be cancelled but they still charged me $86. When I called the 800# I was connected with an outside billing agency not *** who offered no help in my cancellation and refund.Very disappointed in their service, just want to **** your money out if you come or not!Business Response

*****, we are in receipt of your submission to the Better Business Bureau and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I see that you did a charge back so you have had the opportunity to receive the $86. I have asked the team to waive the balance that now sits on your account and cancel the membership. We apologize if you had any confusion as to a 30 day cancel as opposed to a 30 day trial. Thank you. In Health, EoS Fitness.Initial Complaint

On 4-24-24 I signed up for the brand new gym that was opening up in my town. At the time I signed up, it was still being constructed. Between the months of late October early November 2024 I received emails and text messages to come in validate my membership. On 11-18-24, I went into the enrollment center and sat down with an employee by the name of ******* ******. My two daughters were present with me. One of who also signed up. At the time going over my membership, ******* had said that my card was not on file so he swiped my ******** card so that my membership would start. Which is the time I recall telling him that they did are already swipe my card that when I first signed up in April and he said they were having a problem at that time he went on talking about Personal training. I asked him to verify what type of account that I had because I wanted to make sure that my husband would be able to come with me if by chance he wanted to and at that time ******* said let me swipe your card again for verification and without my knowledge created an account for my husband He went on to talk about Personal training and I had told him that I was not interested because I could not commit to coming in due to work. The time that I would be available would be between the hours of 2 AM and 3 AM. Thats why I made sure that the gym would be open at that time. I have contacted the gym multiple times because they have charged me for personal training, which I did not want to sign up for. Ive never taken one p.t session. *** calledABC fitness and was able to cancel my membership because Im so upset over this. Ive contacted the personal training manager and said that I would refunded, but I yet have to be refunded any money for personal training which have never been used. All I want is the money back that theyve stole out of my account. Ive have tried numerous times to resolve this with them as youll see on my screenshots.Business Response

This is in regards to the new management at Eos Fitness located at ************************************ on 4-11-2025. The new General Manger "****** ********" used discrimination, coercion, & threats toward me based on my ID after I scanned my ID in the system. He harassed a female worker at the front desk to cancel my account the system just accepted unless I sign another contract other than the one I was already in. I asked "who is in charge here". The only obese guy there said "I am". I asked for his name so I could address him properly, but he would not give it to me. I told him I am an *** (American State National) and why am I being harassed after the system scanned and accepted my sign in for the day? He laughed and said out loud "another one of you, huh". I asked him politely if he knew what ASN means? He said "Yes, I do." I asked him to explain what an *** is to make sure he knew? He smugly stated, "I don't have to tell you. We don't deal with your kind." ****** directly violated the NO DISCRIMINATION?policy at EoS Fitness which states "Eos does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, ***, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability or military status." Keevin's words "I don't have to tell you. We don't deal with your kind." indicated he discriminated against me based on my race, my nationality and my status. ****** verbally escalated the situation, broke contract law, and personally provoked and threatened me in a matter of seconds. All other workers looked nervous and intimidated, especially the female workers. I told him he has violated my rights, violating contract ******* still don't know what's going on. ****** told me he doesn't care. 9 behind front desk, ***** (AGM) and ************ did nothing to deescalate situation. **** ***** (operations manager) needs to fire ****** for his actions. Eos is better without him. I wish for ****** ******** to be removed from this location as remedy.Business Response

Alexe, we have received and reviewed your correspondence submitted to the Better Business Bureau, and we appreciate you sharing your experience. We apologize that you felt harassed during the situation. A thorough investigation has been completed, and we found differing accounts of the incident. Our team needed you to follow protocols for signing into the gym, which was met with resistance. Our guidelines for entering the gym apply equally to American State Nationals and US Citizens. We understand that a second staff member assisted you and helped you sign up for your free insurance membership. However, you only provided a picture of your elbow instead of a facial shot, which is required by our guidelines. Please understand that we do not relieve staff from their positions lightly, but we do coach and grow with every opportunity. We are happy to have you as part of the EoS family and to see you achieving your fitness goals. We will consider this BBB complaint closed. Thank you. In Health, EoS Fitness.Initial Complaint

I have been trying to cancel my membership for over a year. I haven't been to this gym since 2022 and I'm still being charged every month. I had a contract with the gym that I have since fulfilled and paid off. When I call the gym no one calls me back. I have emailed the company and the second I start expressing my grievances the contact stops. ******* ***** is someone whom I was in contact with via email. She told me I couldn't cancel my membership online and I would need to go in person to do it. However, when I spoke to someone at the gym over the phone I was informed memberships had to be canceled online. I contacted ******* ***** again and said what I had been told by the gym staff. She proceeded to write back that I needed to go to the gym and be given a code for a link which I would then use to cancel my membership online. None of that made any sort of sense and when I called the gym the staff had no idea what I was talking about. When I contacted ******* ***** to say that this was ridiculous she stopped all contact and never got back to me. I emailed the company again about what was going on and never heard back. I recently received a text message from the gym that was saying to come in and use the facilities. When I responded by saying how I've been trying to cancel my membership and was very upset I was informed that my membership would be submitted for cancellation. It still hasn't been canceled and when I reached out via text they never got back to me. They have no problem taking money from my bank account but won't respond to my questions. At this point I don't know what to do. I'm getting automated phone calls all the time about my account and billing. I call and no one ever gets back. I've had a lot of money taken from me and I didn't use the facilities. I had a surgery that prevented me from going back. If there is anything you can do to resolve this matter because I feel like my money is being stolen from me. Thank you for your time.Business Response

On December 17th I signed up for my gym membership. I was offered personal training which I declined because I couldn't afford it. The man signing me up would not leave me alone, and kept asking how much I would be willing to pay. I finally agreed to a $20 charge for the first session and two free sessions after. I was under a lot of pressure to sign and didn't take the time to fully understand it. I did get the 2 free sessions but was NOT charged $20 for the first. When I arrived for my first training session I sat down with the trainer to sign a trainer patient contract which I did NOT sign saying that I was just trying it out for the day and didn't want to sign for recurring payments. She said ok and we did the work out. Fast forward a month or so I realized I was in fact being charged every two weeks 43 dollars since January 2nd. I went to the gym where they redirected me to fill a form online for a request. Never heard back from that request and tried again to file a request which always had an error and never sent. I sent a direct message to their instagram account on April 2nd and finally received a call from a manager, *********** ******, on April 10th. He offered no refund except to schedule more training sessions that I do not need or want. All of this to highlight that Eos Fitness is extremely predatory with absolutely abysmal customer service. He said that because I didn't request a refund within the 3 day period after I signed up, that a refund would be impossible. I have attached the contract below as well as a text from my personal trainer on February 18th who was fully aware of my personal training interests (she never got back to me). I am aware that I was dumb to sign the contract without fully understanding it, but it doesn't excuse the predatory and unfair nature of the business.Business Response

I have a problem, I had contracted a 4-month personal training program with classes every 2 weeks ($43 every two weeks) and since January I had told my trainer that I was not going to continue and he told me that I could not cancel since it was a contract, that I had to wait for it to end. The 4 months have passed and they are still charging me for the training. I was looking at my bank account and there are 10 payments of $43, when it is supposed to be only 8. What is happening? I did not sign a contract for 5 months or more, it was only 4 months with 8 classes. And it's not just that, but I try to communicate through the website and it doesn't let me, if it doesn't say that it's under maintenance it tells me that an error occurred And I don't have time to go to the gym to ask.Business Response

02/28/2025-04/07/2025 Date when the initial issue with this complaint that I am filing has started. I signed a contract with *** for the 26 dollar black card membership, and for **. I intially tried cancelling the PT program at the beginning of March after I noticed that the personal trainer had not contacted me for a week. I called my home gym and they said they would inform a PT guy or gal about it and help me out. Fast Forward to March 16th, I go in person and they tell me to cancel the membership online through a QR code. Well I did just that and then got busy with work and Military business. Fast forward to April I am still being charged 88 dollars a week. Not only that, but no one from the corporate office has contacted me, especially not when in my reasoning for the said cancellation was due to me joining the Navy by May and PTing with my Delayed entry ***** Officers Third and Second class. Today April 7th I went again in person and the employee at the front desk got aggressive and said to go to ***********, come to find out I can't even search for their cancellation form on there. I am due for bootcamp on the 28th of May. *** has not contacted me at all. I am frustrated and these scummy business practices are basically scamming me out of 352 dollars a month, they are lucky a group of people have not filed a class action lawsuit against them. I want my PT membership cancelled, and the gym membership cancelled as well.Business Response
